One of the nodes that require the attention of researchers and developers of high-power pulsed accelerators is the electron emitter, the cathode. Research in this direction is being carried out both to improve the emission characteristics and to increase the lifetime and operational characteristics of the assembly. One of the original developments is the use of a liquid injected into the accelerating gap as a substance for plasma formation. This work is devoted to testing the system of external liquid supply to the cathode of a vacuum electron diode. The change in the vacuum conditions in the diode during the injection of water is studied. The system is tested when a high voltage pulse is applied to the cathode. The values of water flow rates at which frostbite occurs by the injection system are established. Создан четырехканальный формирователь синхронных биполярных импульсов с амплитудой до 80 кВ, длительностью 1 нс (2 канала) и 2 нс (2 канала) и частотой повторения 100 Гц на нагрузках по 50 Ом. Гибридная антенна представляет собой офсетный рефлектор, в фокусе которого расположена антенная решетка-облучатель. Элементами антенной решетки являются комбинированные антенны, рассчитанные на возбуждение биполярными импульсами длительностью 0.5 нс. The ion beam was extracted in the metal drift tube made in form of a cone. It was found that the metal tube provided the beam space charge neutralization up to 90% and increase in the beam current and energy density. The focusing factor of a beam current in the metal tube increased from 4.5 to 13. The mass ratio of ions propagated in the tube and in outer space had been varied. На частоте 2.45 ГГц помимо основной моды ТМ011 в резонаторе присутствуют вторичные радиальные максимумы, связанные с одновременным возбуждением ТМ021 и высших мод. Выявлено, что на модовый состав существенно влияет кварцевое кольцо, разделяющее вакуумную часть от части, находящейся под атмосферным давлением. Найдена оптимальная геометрия дисковой камеры резонатора, в которой максимальная напряженность электрического поля достигается вблизи подложки с образцами. Для повышения стабильности зажигания СВЧ-разряда в камере резонатора используется подвижный поршень. Measurements of the parameters of a high-power electron beam were carried out up to a power of 100 kW.
