Physical examination revealed clusters of multiple purplish dome-shaped infiltrated papules. Histopathological examination was compatible mutinucleate cell angiohistiocytoma. We treated him with 10,464 nm Nd:YAG laser, after the second session, some of the lesions had disappeared completely while the rest has gained substantial improvement. There were no adverse reactions and no recurrence after two years of follow-up. MCAH is a rare vascular fibrohistiocytic proliferation. No standard of care exists. We believe that Nd:YAG laser should be considered the treatment of choice.

These dysfunctions could be \u0000decelerated by the preventive effects of some skin treatments such as Intradermal \u0000injections. NCTF 135HA has a polycomponent formulation designed to improve the efficacy of \u0000non-cross linked hyaluronic acid (as a micro-filler) on fibroblasts function. \u0000Although NCTF 135HA has been used by aesthetic practitioners since 20 years, we \u0000have analyzed all in vitro, ex vivo and in vivo studies during past 10 years in order to summarized its anti-aging effect. Methods: In these series of studies, the known effects of HA have been evaluated with this \u0000boosted formula. Collagen I synthesis, antiglycation effect and contractile \u0000forces developed by fibroblasts were studied. Fibroblasts and keratinocytes \u0000proliferations were evaluated in monolayer cells culture. The filling effect \u0000thanks to NCTF 135HA injection was ex \u0000vivo performed by fringe projection and the protective effect of NCTF 135HA \u0000against solar irradiation was performed ex \u0000vivo to study proliferation rate, elastin and collagen expression. Two \u0000clinical trials were performed on women to evaluate the anti-aging effect of \u0000NCTF 135HA injection. Hydration, firmness, radiance, wrinkles size, pore size, \u0000thickness and density of the dermis were analyzed. Results: Collagen I, anti-AGE products, cell proliferation and contractile forces \u0000were significantly increased with NCTF 135HA in culture medium. Ex vivo studies showed that NCTF 135HA \u0000increased, cells proliferation rate, elastin and collagen production. In \u0000addition, the filling effect of the NCTF 135HA is significantly superior to \u0000placebo. The first clinical trial shows that NCTF 135HA injection significantly \u0000increased tonicity, hydration and radiance of the skin and significantly \u0000decreased wrinkle score. The second clinical trial demonstrated that NCTF 135HA \u0000injection significantly increased dermis density and thickness, skin \u0000homogeneity and skin radiance and significantly decreased pore size and wrinkle \u0000depth and volume. Conclusion: In vitro, ex vivo and in vivo studies showed that this minimally invasive technique could be used in order to \u0000improve the skin quality which could have a visual effect on preventing the \u0000aging signs.

The prolonged daily and inappropriate use of TCS may cause adverse effects such as erythema, atrophy, and telangiectasia. Steroid rosacea or addiction is a distinct adverse effect of inappropriate use of TCS. It occurs most commonly in adult women applying mid- or high-potency TCS to the face. Dupilumab is an interleukin 4 (IL-4) receptor α-antagonist approved for treatment Moderate-to-Severe Atopic Dermatitis in childhoods and adults. The role of dupilumab injection in steroid-induced rosacea management is rarely discussed. Aim: To document a new case presentation of atopic dermatitis on high potency topical facial steroid addiction for a duration of 4 years in a young female patient who was successful treated with dupilumab injection and withdrawal therapy. Case Report: A 32-year-old female patient with a history of atopic dermatitis presented with a history of worsening pruritic facial rashes for a one-month duration and on high potency TCS (Clobetasol Propionate ointment 0.05%) since 4 years ago with multiple treatments failure of steroidal withdrawal treated successfully in combination with dupilumab injection. Conclusion: Dupilumab injection considers effective and inducing rapid resolution of signs and symptoms of steroid-induced rosacea in patients with a history of atopic dermatitis in combination with withdrawal therapy without a rebound effect.

In this study, we confirmed the whitening efficacy of various concentrations of immune cells and stem cell conditioned media. The author tried to study a conditioned medium that has a strong whitening effect even with a composition of less than 20% (the most used concentration in cosmetics). Because of the fact that the conditioned medium contains various cytokines and growth factors secreted by stem cells or immune cells, it is known to have effects such as wound healing, antioxidant, and whitening effect. Recently, stem cells have been used not only in the development of cosmetic raw materials but also in skincare procedures, and there are reports being released of cosmetics using immune cells conditioned medium. The concentration-dependent whitening effect equivalently increased as the concentration of the mono-cultured conditioned medium was obtained through the stem cells or immune cells culture. In the case of co-culture, whitening results are like the effect of positive control such as arbutin in the medium carrying only 10% of the co-cultured conditioned medium. It is possible that enhanced whitening efficiency in co-cultured conditioned medium leads to a major innovation in the global cosmetic market.

The effects of placenta extract on skin conditions have been previously reported, however, the mechanism underlying for reduced wrinkle formation remains unclear. Objective: The primary objective of this study was to determine whether the continuous application of porcine placenta extract (PPE) alleviates wrinkle formation in humans and explore the underlying mechanism. Methods: Wrinkle formation, skin hydration, and skin elasticity were measured in 15 volunteers at weeks 0 and 6 after continuous application of a gel containing PPE. The production of type I collagen and hyaluronic acid from fibroblasts and keratinocytes, respectively, were measured using ELISA. Expression levels of ceramide synthase 3 (CERS3), filaggrin (FLG), transglutaminase 1 (TGM1), and kallikrein-7 (KLK7) were evaluated by quantitative real-time PCR. Results: The wrinkle index was significantly reduced to 72.1% after a 6-week of applying the PPE gel, along with a significant increase in skin hydration to 126.5%. Type I collagen production from fibroblasts was enhanced slightly but significantly following treatment with PPE. PPE accelerated the expression of CERS3 (1.85-fold), FLG (1.35-fold), TGM1 (1.76-fold), and KLK7 (1.62-fold). Conclusion: Treatment with PPE alleviates wrinkle formation and simultaneously enhances skin hydration, which is induced via the accelerated expression of moisturizing-related proteins. These findings suggest that PPE is effective for combating dryness-induced wrinkle formation.

OMWW has already shown great potential for use in skincare products, and its high polyphenol content is predestined to have a positive effect on hair growth. The studies included caffeine, a positive modulator of hair growth, and dihydrotestosterone, which causes hair loss in vivo, as controls. The impact of the investigated compounds on hair growth was eva-luated by studies on cell viability and proliferation, the release of growth factors (insulin-like growth factor-1 and vascular endothelial growth factor), and the reduction of reactive oxygen species formation. OMWW showed a positive influence on the proliferation of the human follicle dermal papilla cells. Moreover, the extract leads to a significantly increased secretion of insu-lin-like growth factor-1, and a considerable reduction in reactive oxygen species formation was observed. Overall, our results show that the investigated phenol-enriched OMWW extract is a promising ingredient for hair care to improve hair growth, prevent hair loss due to oxidative stress and maintain a healthy scalp.

This study aimed to evaluate the mutagenic potential of commercial inks. It was formulated with organic (P1) and inorganic (P2) pigments for eyebrows microblading using a validated method by regulatory agencies, the Salmonella/microsome assay, to assure the safety of use. Methods: The assay was carried out in three steps: preliminary toxicity, medium without (−S9), and presence (+S9) of metabolic activation. The strains, auxotrophic to histidine (His-) TA97a, TA98, TA100, and TA102, were exposed to both types of inks, in triplicate, compared to negative and positive controls. Data were statistically analyzed, and values with mutagenic index ≥ 2.0 were indicative of mutagenicity. Results: The inks with organic (P1) and inorganic (P2) pigments were not toxic to TA98 and TA100 S. typhimurium tester strains, even at concentrations applied in humans. Both inks were not mutagenic either in the absence or presence of metabolic activation in the tested concentrations, including that applied in humans. The assay showed that P1 and P2 were not direct (−S9) or indirect (+S9) mutagens as commercially formulated. Conclusions: These results indicate that applying these inks on organisms with microsomal enzymes, including humans, is safe since no compound in the inks became more toxic to induce the bacterial reverse mutation.

AGEs accumulation alters cell structure and function of most types of skin cells, affecting skin’s mechanical and physiological properties, following the molecular transformations. Slowdown AGEs accumulation rate in skin, although a potent anti-aging strategy, is difficult and tricky. The lack of working methods for in-vivo and in-vitro measuring AGEs level compli-cates the evaluation and prediction of active ingredients’ ability to affect cellular AGEs accumulation. A two-step in-vitro systematic screening method is proposed and three different cosmetic active ingredients were selected for its demonstration, using BSA-Glucose and Collagen-Glucose predicting models. Candidates’ effects on AGEs accumulation were evaluated as standalone, and when formulated in a blend. Additionally, the potency of non-invasive au-to-fluorescence in-vivo measurement to detect AGEs levels among subjects of different ages was demonstrated. The results are presented in this work and the potential contribution of the proposed system to assist the desired inhibi-tion of AGEs accumulation in skin is discussed.
