Other than that, it also covers how small one can start a system. Testing scalability is a very challenging task among all the other quality attributes i.e. performance, reliability, usability, accessibility and security. However empirically there is not much research work done on this specific domain. The focus of this study is to identify the all the metrics and tools that are in practice for measuring the scalability of a specific system. Moreover, finding out the challenges that are being faced while performing these measurement practices. To collect information regarding the identification of metrics and tools for testing scalability, a systematic mapping study was conducted. Through this method we tried to get a generalized data from many resources over the internet.","PeriodicalId":155412,"journal":{"name":"12th IADIS International Conference Information Systems 2019","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-04-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114905536","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The main question is how should cloud computing be strategically adopted and used sensitively to the South African context. In this paper, the research argument is that, there is a need for a framework that would assist to strategically adopt and use cloud computing in a uniformed and coordinated manner. To help understand the adoption and use of cloud computing, the stakeholder theory (Freeman, 1984) and contingency theory (Blanton, Watson, & Moody, 1992) are used as research lenses. This study follows an interpretivism philosophy. The adoption and use of cloud computing will be understood through interviews. The findings from this paper proposed a strategic cloud computing framework that will provide guidance for adoption and use of cloud computing in general. The framework will be analysed based on cloud computing factors, stakeholders, and contingency variables.","PeriodicalId":155412,"journal":{"name":"12th IADIS International Conference Information Systems 2019","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-04-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121137503","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study aims to test the F-TAM, using data collected from Ghanaian SMEs. Data was collected from 400 SMEs in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana, using purposive sampling. Partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) was used for the data analysis. Data showed that, while employee factors can lead to firm adoption, firm factors of adoption do not lead to adoption if societal factors, characteristics of the innovation, and employee factors do not moderate that relationship. Societal factors do not lead to firm adoption if employee factors do not mediate it. A theoretical relevance of this study is that it challenges the idea that firm adoption of innovation will be realized, without reference to other domains of factors. This positioning of the F-TAM model is a significant departure from earlier models. For industry practitioners, these findings illustrate the essence of putting a premium on recruiting technologically savvy employees if the firm intends to adopt digital technologies.","PeriodicalId":155412,"journal":{"name":"12th IADIS International Conference Information Systems 2019","volume":"84 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-04-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117141745","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In ERP implementations, the consultant role is usually divided into different domains. For example, a financial and accounting functional consultants capture the clients’ requirements and guide their clients on the best practices and ensure the compliance with standards and accounting principles, while the technical consultants help in the actual technical installation, integration and testing of the system. In general, the primary role of an ERP consultant is to lead an organisation through the transition to an ERP system environment. An ERP consultant is also a person who has various set of skills and expertise across different domains. In this research, we investigate the under-researched area of consultants’ roles in the ERP realm. Specifically, we attempt to investigate the changes in consultants’ roles before, during, and post ERP adoptions.","PeriodicalId":155412,"journal":{"name":"12th IADIS International Conference Information Systems 2019","volume":"76 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-04-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131523348","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This complicates research on multidisciplinary societal challenges. The objective of this paper is to present a reference architecture and components that can be (re)used to construct a general, domain-specific or cross-domain enhanced VRE (e-VRE) that enhances FAIR-ness of data and process interoperability across research infrastructures. The e-VRE makes it easier to conduct multidisciplinary research by assisting the researcher in accessing and utilising the assets of research, commonly stored in digital Research Infrastructures. The reference architecture also reduces complexity by interfacing with research management systems.","PeriodicalId":155412,"journal":{"name":"12th IADIS International Conference Information Systems 2019","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-04-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122775281","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Organisations that implement an enterprise system are required to make changes in their business, modify their business processes, and restructure their organisations to obtain the benefits of the new system. Past research on enterprise system has largely focused on organisational initial adoption decisions on an enterprise system. However, there has been little research concerning the continued use of an enterprise system and the associated change process in the post-adoption stage. Therefore, this proposed research will attempt to fill the gap in knowledge by examining the post-adoptive change and organisational performance resulting from organisational enterprise system implementation. The research questions are: (1) How do organisational changes unfold in enterprise system implementation? (2) How do enterprise systems shape organisational performance in the post-adoption stage of enterprise system implementation? This research will adopt the qualitative interpretive case study method to examine the change process and organisational change associated with enterprise system implementation in organisations. This study will employ the embedded multiple-case design. Semi-structured interviews will be conducted in this study. The proposed research will develop new knowledge based on how an integrated theoretical perspective using institutional logics and a socio-technical perspective can inform changes in organisations. The findings will assist organisations in providing appropriate resources and support for successful enterprise system implementation in the post-adoption stage.","PeriodicalId":155412,"journal":{"name":"12th IADIS International Conference Information Systems 2019","volume":"79 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-04-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124803109","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
