Data was collected with a questionnaire that was based on three theoretical models namely a BPM maturity model, and adoption of innovations model and the innovation values chain. Data was collected from several organizations ranging from small to large in several countries in Europe. The findings suggest a moderate and on occasion somewhat stronger relation between the core concepts. These relationship seem to differ when data was analyzed for the separate organizational sizes. The core recommendations are that that organizations need to asses their BPM maturity and 'innovativeness' before concerted efforts are made for improvement, and that an alignment of BPM and innovation may offer positive results in organizational performance.","PeriodicalId":155412,"journal":{"name":"12th IADIS International Conference Information Systems 2019","volume":"87 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-04-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126188450","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We argue that for the Oil sector the goals to be achieved for a successful ERP deployment are to streamline business processes, compliance with the regulatory environment but at the same time increase profitability This paper aims to contribute to develop a better understanding of the transition required by focusing on objectives, constraints, and the implementation process of ERP in this sector and provide guidelines from lessons learnt. It reports work in progress to share our experiences so that we might benefit from early feedback from those that have already trodden this path as well those that are currently thinking of doing so.","PeriodicalId":155412,"journal":{"name":"12th IADIS International Conference Information Systems 2019","volume":"97 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-04-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125121849","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Since banking industry considers satisfaction and loyalty as bottom-line goals, antecedents of such consequence need to be investigated. Prior research has focused more on m-banking behavioral intention rather m-banking continuance intention nevertheless the latter shows more strategic and economic value. Secondly, the role of customization and security, though its importance, has been overlooked in m-banking research. Technology acceptance model (TAM) with extended expectation-confirmation model in IT (ECM-IT) are employed to evaluate the factors influencing satisfaction, which in turn influences continuance intention of m-banking. Structural equation modeling (SEM) will be used to analyze the data and test the developed hypotheses. This research in progress has potential contributions to both academia and industry.","PeriodicalId":155412,"journal":{"name":"12th IADIS International Conference Information Systems 2019","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-04-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130447951","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Accordingly, many IoT-based smart concepts appeared in our daily lives such as smart home, smart healthcare and smart city. There are several factors accelerating or hindering the adoption of such new services and concepts. So, the acceptance of IoT-based smart services is critical and should be analyzed carefully. In this study, we aimed to prepare a proper starting point for future studies on end user acceptance of smart city services and IoT technologies by presenting a comprehensive systematic review of literature. We got 34 articles focusing on the adoption of IoT-based services with a model-based approach among initially resulted 237 papers. Our findings indicate that the adoption of smart services is getting more and more popular in recent years, especially in Asian countries. We also see that most reviewed studies prefer to develop integrated adoption models and deploy the factors of technology acceptance model (TAM). Additionally, our review results show that the researchers studying on this field generally use demographics in adoption models, mostly as control variables. This paper presents valuable findings lightening up the way of researchers who want to develop an adoption model for IoT-based smart services.","PeriodicalId":155412,"journal":{"name":"12th IADIS International Conference Information Systems 2019","volume":"117 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-04-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131781315","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This research collects and classifies successful cases for digital transformation in the business-to-business (B2B) commerce. The initial qualitative analysis of 80 cases results in the derivation of eight potential patterns. For example, it can be concluded from the dataset that B2B companies are enriching their web shops with personal service, data-driven features or individual media. Some companies transform their B2B product portfolio to connected smart solutions and newly also sell to end-consumers. Moreover, it seems that offline and online services as well as sales and communication channels are combined in innovative ways to be prepared for a digital future.","PeriodicalId":155412,"journal":{"name":"12th IADIS International Conference Information Systems 2019","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-04-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133489562","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As a result, the data produced by students is vast and is growing in each of the learning technologies used, leading to a possibility of discovering patterns that can help to enhance the student experience. However, a clear research regarding the adoption of learning technologies and how to spread this research is limited and almost inexistent. Most of the research revolves around students or teachers disregarding the researcher’s standpoint. All the tools and artefacts such as dashboards that have helped to improve both students and teachers’ knowledge are absent for researchers. Hence, this paper is aimed on finding and defining the most common learning technologies platforms and tools as well as the user requirements to build a dashboard to display this information considering the researchers’ objectives. In this regard, an online survey was created and sent to both researchers interested in the learning technology area and learning technologies designers. The responses were analysed with quantitative tools such as exploratory factor analysis, analysis of variance, t-tests and graphical means. The results led to the user requirements for developing a dashboard.","PeriodicalId":155412,"journal":{"name":"12th IADIS International Conference Information Systems 2019","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-04-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127862010","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Mobile apps services have effectively encircled most of the human activities, with the purpose of improving the living standard of the entire public. The adoption and diffusion of a mobile app are influenced by its characteristics. This study examines the adoption and diffusion of mobile commerce among the people living in a remote area of South Africa to determine the relationship between the characteristics of innovations and the adopters' attitudes. Through a survey that used diffusion of innovation as the basic framework, the opinions of the participants living in Mbongolwane in the Uthungulu District Municipality in the KwaZulu-Natal province of South Africa were gathered. A total of 120 out of 300 questionnaires distributed, were returned, giving a response rate of 40%. It was found that the perceived attitudes of the rural dwellers are closely related to the characteristic of innovations as well as the adoption of mobile commerce. Also, the findings indicate that though the people are very keen to receive a new technological invention, they are still late adopters. This research work offers a support in improving the adoption and diffusion of mobile apps among the rural inhabitants.","PeriodicalId":155412,"journal":{"name":"12th IADIS International Conference Information Systems 2019","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-04-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126201457","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
