This image pre-filtering stage not only enables the FFT method to demodulate interference fringes with larger bandwidths but also reduces speckle noise significantly. When the wavefront is complex, the reconstruction RMS error is better than /25 by FFT method, however, by using the new method suggested here it is better than /40. Comparison analysis showed that the new method has strong capabilities to anti-noise and anti-aliasing of spectrum, reduces the frequency domain filter design requirements and improves the accuracy and stability of the wavefront detection.","PeriodicalId":155352,"journal":{"name":"2010 Symposium on Photonics and Optoelectronics","volume":"19 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-06-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128433645","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The fiber Fabry-Perot interferometer(FFPI) serves as an excellent tool for detecting acoustic waves because its high sensitivity and high frequency response, showing advantages of being simple and compact in size, insensitive to environmental fluctuations, and suitable for point measurements with minimal cross talks.. However, poor control of the operation point has been a major factor that limits the practical application of FFPI sensors in the sensor industry. An active feedback control configuration has been proposed that uses a light source wavelength adjusting by heat-sink temperature and a feedback control circuit. This demodulation method has a simply configuration, high tuning speed, and no tuning range limit. An active feedback control system is designed and demonstrated, indicating the method is simple and easy operating. Measurements show that good tracing of Q-point was effectively realized.","PeriodicalId":155352,"journal":{"name":"2010 Symposium on Photonics and Optoelectronics","volume":"129 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-06-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129626647","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

So the requirement of higher dynamic range is presented in the laser detection system. For the problem of insufficient dynamic range in Imaging Laser Detection System (ILDS), a method by image processing to extend the system dynamic range is discussed based on the existing hardware of wide-angle telecentric fish-eye lens and CMOS camera device Frame subtraction technique is commonly used in ILDS to recognize and locate the laser spot by filtering out background interference and noise. On this basis, it is proposed that in view of the receive laser energy's difference, uses the different method to expand the dynamic range. When the laser energy is low, the laser signal that may be submerged in noise can not be accurately interpreted and precisely localized. The technique of fuzzy weighted averaging filtering is used to get rid of noise and enhance detection sensitivity of the system, namely expansion detection lower limit. When the incident laser is strong, because the fish eye optical system would produce the reflection disturbance light, the imaging surface may be interfered by anomalous disturbance facula. Spot matching pattern recognition method is presented to remove the mixed light disturbance and enhance the recognition upper limit. The experimental results show that these methods can effectively improve the system's dynamic range and has a certain value of applied research","PeriodicalId":155352,"journal":{"name":"2010 Symposium on Photonics and Optoelectronics","volume":"54 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-06-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129940131","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, the rapid determination method and the analysis model of soil organic matter were established by using the NIRS technology, partial least squares (PLS) regression and Savitzky-Golay (SG) smoothing method. Based on the prediction effect of the optimal single wavelength model, calibration set and prediction set were divided. By extending the number of smoothing points and the degree of polynomial, 483 smooth modes were calculated. The PLS models corresponding to all combinations of 483 SG smoothing modes and 1-30 PLS factor were established respectively. The optimal smoothing parameters were the second order derivative smoothing, 2 or 3 degree polynomial, 61 smoothing points, the optimal PLS factor, root mean squared error of predication (RMSEP) and correlation coefficient of predication (RP) were 19, 0.197 (%) and 0.925 respectively, which was obviously superior to the direct PLS model without SG smoothing and the optimal SG smoothing model within 25 smoothing points (the original smoothing method). This demonstrates that the extending of SG smoothing modes and large-scale simultaneous optimization selection of SG smoothing parameters and PLS factor was all very necessary, and can be effectively applied to the model optimization of NIRS analysis.","PeriodicalId":155352,"journal":{"name":"2010 Symposium on Photonics and Optoelectronics","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-06-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129147906","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Based on the shape, scratches can be classified as lateral scratch, radial scratch, Hertizan cone scratch, and trailing indent scratch. From forming mechanism, scratches can be classified as plastic scratch, brittle scratch and mixed scratch. The statistical damage thresholds of three kinds of common scratches are obtained through raster scanning at different laser fluences. The results show that the damage threshold of radial scratches is the highest and that of the trailing indent scratches is the lowest. In addition, for the samples etched in different concentration buffered hydrofluoric acid solutions for different etching time, the damage thresholds are also obtained. The high concentration and long-time etching can effectively enhance the damage threshold of scratches. Brittle scratches are easier to damage than plastic scratches. Two kinds of mechanisms are responsible for the laser damage: local electrical intensification and mechanical weakness induced by scratches. This work is a reference for further investigation on damage threshold enhancement and damage mechanism of scratches in fused silica.","PeriodicalId":155352,"journal":{"name":"2010 Symposium on Photonics and Optoelectronics","volume":"42 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-06-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130817741","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
