Manual assessment of the road condition is a difficult task as it is a tedious process and requires lot of manpower. Thus, there is an increasing requirement for an automatic pothole identification system. In this paper, a solution is proposed to detect the potholes on roads automatically using the deep learning algorithms. Three deep learning namely, Convolutional Neural Network (CNN), Mask Region-based Convolutional Neural Network (Mask RCNN) and You Only Look Once (YOLOv3) are trained and tested with a dataset. The results of the three models are compared using evaluation metrics. This system also assembles hardware components for reporting the potholes in order to take actions for their repair and maintenance and warns the presence of potholes to drivers.","PeriodicalId":155129,"journal":{"name":"2021 Fourth International Conference on Electrical, Computer and Communication Technologies (ICECCT)","volume":"21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-09-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134321993","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The coupled motions are generated based on an inverse kinematic model of the system and are realized in real time with the aid of proportional integral controllers maneuvering each leg based on the error between the generated leg demands and the present leg length positions obtained via the position sensors mounted on the hydraulic cylinders. The experiments performed on a real time laboratory scale setup reveals that high-precision 3D motions can be achieved on such low cost systems with the assistance of simple control schemes and intelligent design.","PeriodicalId":155129,"journal":{"name":"2021 Fourth International Conference on Electrical, Computer and Communication Technologies (ICECCT)","volume":"68 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-09-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132386173","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

But they are mostly invasive as they are contact based. In the context of the above applications, the commonly employed non-invasive methods using continuous-wave (CW) Doppler radars for detection of heartbeat of the subject suffer from several limitations. The use of ultra-wideband (UWB) radars are able to overcome the limitations of the Doppler radars in detecting human heartbeat. Modeling and analysis of the UWB propagation through a human body present behind a wall is essential prior to the development of a real UWB radar. In this paper, models for UWB transmission through human thorax behind a wall made up of (i) brick and (ii) solid concrete are presented. The analysis is performed from the simulations using CST Microwave Studio (MWS) in the UWB range of 1-4 GHz. The study indicates that the transmission characteristics are related to the instantaneous sizes of the heart.","PeriodicalId":155129,"journal":{"name":"2021 Fourth International Conference on Electrical, Computer and Communication Technologies (ICECCT)","volume":"74 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-09-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132524660","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

But unfortunately, these young ones are the ones suffering the most from emotional distress and suicide ideation. In India alone, every hour one student commits suicide and nearly 28 per day. (NRCB). The NCRB data shows that 10,159 students died by suicide in 2018, an increase from 9,905 in 2017, and 9,478 in 2016 [1]. According to the survey conducted by CSDS in 2017 between the age group of 15-34 approximately one out of every four youth moderately suffered from depression, loneliness, worthlessness, and suicidal thoughts. 6% of them got suicidal thoughts at least once [1]. Despite increasing knowledge, most affected young people do not receive mental health care because the professionals can not easily identify such groups of people [2]. With most people expressing their thoughts and emotions on social media whether positive or negative, examining their posting on the internet has become an essential part of identifying a person’s emotion. Manual identification and examining of this data can be very time-consuming so this paper uses a much better and technical aspect to solve this problem. A dataset is formed by the collection of a few individual’s daily blogs and texts and a combination of machine learning classifiers is used to identify an individual’s emotion. Then the accuracy of these classifiers is tested and the best classifier is used in the system to predict people’s emotions. The result of the analysis shows that the classifier in the system performs better than the other individual classifiers, professionals can understand more people’s emotions and see early signs of emotional distress and provide them with assistance.","PeriodicalId":155129,"journal":{"name":"2021 Fourth International Conference on Electrical, Computer and Communication Technologies (ICECCT)","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-09-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130256946","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This situation is more perceptive in digital television applications, since there is a constant need of providing better experiences to the users with the transmission of higher resolution videos. In this context, novel approaches for the physical layer of such systems are subject of intense research, including investigation on the effect of replacing the Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) technique currently used by other modulation schemes such as Filter Bank Multi Carrier (FBMC). This article presents a novel FBMC based frame implementation for the Integrated Services Digital Broadcasting Terrestrial Version B (ISDB-TB), developed as a software defined radio (SDR). The results show the robustness and rate gains of FBMC and prove that ISDB-TB frame can be modified to enhance the performance in Digital TV applications.","PeriodicalId":155129,"journal":{"name":"2021 Fourth International Conference on Electrical, Computer and Communication Technologies (ICECCT)","volume":"11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-09-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114978568","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

There are many techniques which have been proposed in the literature and most of them are specific to the cover medium - for example, a technique (like F5) that works with a lossy cover medium (JPEG) will not work with a lossless cover medium (PNG). The steganography domain is strewn with many such techniques, but a standardized reference model does not exist which can be referred to by a novice in order to correctly implement a steganographic application. Such a reference model would assist developers and fellow researchers to implement the various aspects of steganography correctly and in the right order. Additionally, if the developer wants, they can replace a particular technique/component of the steganography stack with another technique which provides a similar functionality without worrying about the rest of the implementation. This is much like using UDP instead of TCP for the OSI network stack without breaking the overall functionality of networking. In this paper, the authors propose a layered reference model for steganographic applications thus providing a streamlined method of applying steganographic techniques.","PeriodicalId":155129,"journal":{"name":"2021 Fourth International Conference on Electrical, Computer and Communication Technologies (ICECCT)","volume":"33 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-09-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132165224","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Subsequently, the propensity for long-time encounters from portable radiation to non-ionic electromagnetic radiation is expanding. The Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) estimation for 4G Long-Term Evolution (LTE) networks using (Band 3) spectrum of 1800 MHz is necessary to ensure the user's safety protocol. It demonstrates the collaboration between EM radiation and organic tissue. In this research work, SAR estimation of the human head model is estimated by utilizing three basic mobile antennas capable of operating at (Band 3) spectrum, for example, Monopole Antenna, Microstrip Patch Antenna, and Planar Inverted F-Antenna. SAR is estimated over both 10 gram and 1gram body tissue for every antenna at 1800 MHz frequency. Results obtained show that the utilization of the microstrip antenna is the most secure among the three antennae with SAR estimation of 0.1005 W/kg and 0.1415 W/kg for both 10 gram and 1 gram of body tissue separately. Although the large size of the microstrip patch antenna and poor radiation efficiency is not very much suitable in 4G LTE mobile communication. But the lowest SAR value, return loss, Voltage Standing Wave Ratio (VSWR), and highest antenna directivity of the microstrip patch antenna provide an upper edge in choosing a suitable antenna for 4G LTE mobile communication.","PeriodicalId":155129,"journal":{"name":"2021 Fourth International Conference on Electrical, Computer and Communication Technologies (ICECCT)","volume":"3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-09-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128414693","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This system is a part of a larger project, to detect and remove potatoes infected by a commonly occurring virus (PVY – potato virus Y). For the detection and removal of infected plants, first, an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) equipped with a hyperspectral camera and a high precision GPS, will fly over the potato field collecting images of the plants. Using custom image analysis, the GPS location of the sick plant is identified and sent to an autonomous ground vehicle (AGV). This AGV will then navigate to the target location and rogue the infected plant automatically. The RTK GPS used here has an error of about 10cm. After the AGV reaches the target location the automatic roguing mechanism will still need to identify the sick plant. Potato seeds are planted at an average distance of about 30 centimeters, but in reality, this distance may vary significantly in the field. To positively identify the sick plant in real-time, a special image processing system was designed to detect and position the rouging arm over the center of the sick plant. This system uses an 8 Megapixel Pi camera to find the center of the target plant looking down. This system needs to work with high accuracy in a potato field where changing sunlight and weather conditions would hamper proper identification, HSL (hue, saturation, and lightness) format of images was used for better color detection. Two methods for finding the center of the plant were compared. These were compared to positive detection rates for various light levels, a variety of leaf colors, and expected location as opposed to actual plant location.","PeriodicalId":155129,"journal":{"name":"2021 Fourth International Conference on Electrical, Computer and Communication Technologies (ICECCT)","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-09-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134352352","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is a crucial factor of advertisements platforms. It is fed into auctions to determine the final ranking of advertising. Machine Learning techniques are often used to tackle challenges involving human-computer interaction. Almost every website on the internet displays advertisements. Companies who want to promote their products use these websites as a method of promotion. The goal is to determine which of the company's several advertisement versions can get the best conversion rate, i.e., the most number of ad clicks. The major issue for firms that rely on ad revenue is ad placement on websites. The placement of the ad has a significant impact on whether or not the ad gets clicked. This kind of challenge lends itself very well to Reinforcement Learning algorithms. In this paper, we applied the machine learning approach for Ad Prediction. We used a dataset from Kaggle and applied two reinforcement learning algorithms Upper Confidence Bound, Thompson Sampling for predicting Ad position based on ad clicks and achieved a good prediction rate. All the implementations are done in python.","PeriodicalId":155129,"journal":{"name":"2021 Fourth International Conference on Electrical, Computer and Communication Technologies (ICECCT)","volume":"57 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-09-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116228796","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
