This study aims to test the combined effectiveness of duckweed (Lemna minor) and Cyanobacteria in the degradation of heavy metals cadmium (Cd) and iron (Fe) in leachate water at the Gampong Jawa landfill. This effectiveness test was carried out with a variation of contact times of 2, 4, and 6 days and the test was carried out using an Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (AAS). Physical changes occurred in the water, and Cyanobacteria became blackened and duckweed (Lemna minor) was pale in color. The highest decrease in heavy metal cadmium (Cd) occurred on day 4 with a percentage of 94.55% and in iron (Fe) occurred on day 2 with a percentage of 62.58%. This demonstrates the effectiveness of incorporating duckweed (Lemna minor) and Anabaena in reducing heavy metals like cadmium (Cd) and iron (Fe) in leachate water.","PeriodicalId":153802,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Applied Science and Engineering Review","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129188317","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In order to strengthen their position on the market, company managers are turning to TIC, which offers increasingly innovative means and tools of communication. The new communication challenges facing modern companies can be effectively met by using TIC. But the problematic that arises is how TIC could help companies in their relations with customers? The objective of this work is therefore to identify the place of TIC in the relationship of companies with their customers. The results of a survey of a sample of 120 companies have confirmed that TIC improves the relationship of the company with its customers.","PeriodicalId":153802,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Applied Science and Engineering Review","volume":"33 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116650138","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In which copper powder is mechanically milled with nano graphene sheet by 10: 1 ball to powder ratio, and 400 rpm for 12 hr. milling time. The mixtures are compacted by a uniaxial press under 700 Mpa pressure. The compacted samples are sintered under controlled atmosphere at 950 oC for 1.5 hrs. Their effects on the microstructure & tribological properties of the prepared Cu/Graphene nanocomposites were studied. All results indicated that hexane samples have the more homogeneous microstructure, low porosity, higher wear resistance & coefficient of friction than those of methanol samples. For this reason, this study aims to create an enhanced oculus cane which uses a photodiode to help the visually impaired people detect objects, and mobilize freely and safely. To assess its effectiveness, a PN photodiode was utilized which detects objects with programmed barcodes in various distances and sizes. Response time in identifying objects was tested together with the loudness of audio volume measured in decibel. The cane is used mainly in the household, wherein barcodes are scanned by a photodiode connected to a Bluetooth module and transmitter. The Bluetooth module and transmitter are linked to a digital amplifier audio board and double diaphragm speaker, which are used to verbally transmit the name of the object with barcode. The results proved the capabilities of the Oculus cane with 1.60 seconds response time, and scanning range in distances of 4 cm. (minimum) and 22 cm. (maximum), and the sizes of the barcodes 3 cm. and 5 cm. The loudness of the audio volume from the speaker of the Oculus cane was 82.7 dB, the safe level which will not cause damage to the ears. It is therefore recommended to use the enhanced oculus cane with photodiode as an alternative to existing smart canes which is more affordable and offers features which will greatly help visually impaired people live an independent and safe life.","PeriodicalId":153802,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Applied Science and Engineering Review","volume":"87 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134542717","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A model is made that simulates this process according to the sign of the preceding numerical value of the infected population. When the sign is different from zero, conclusions are reached regarding the behavior of infected, recovered and susceptible populations, but when this sign is zero, the system that models the process is simplified, and applying the qualitative theory of differential equations conclusions are reached regarding the behavior of the process. For this reason, the objective of this study is to create a motorized whiteboard eraser out of a car windshield rubber blade from a broken car. With the help of Arduino Uno and Arduino Interface, an open-source electronics platform based on easy-to-use hardware and software, was able to help read the coding and inputs in causing the wiper move with a switch, battery and motor. The results of the study showed that the time of executing the command was 0.35 seconds after turning the switch on, while the distance covered in centimeters by the motorized whiteboard eraser was 75cm. It is also noted that after four rounds of horizontal swiping directions it had totally erased the writings on the whiteboard. Further, in terms of the speed of erasing the writings, the shortest time was 0.0852 miles per hour. Proving its efficacy on erasing various percentages of shaded parts it is recorded that in 50% shaded part it took a minute and six seconds, while in 75% shaded part it took one minute and 20 seconds, lastly, in a 100% shaded it could totally be erased in a span of one minute and 36 seconds. As a result, it is recommended to increase the speed of the motorized whiteboard eraser by utilizing a bigger motor with a higher RPM capacity. Moreover, it is advised that the whiteboard eraser be improved in order for the rubber blade to entirely adhere itself to the whiteboard in order to have less constraints on erasing. It is also recommended that you choose a lighter material than PVC in order for the eraser to operate smoothly.","PeriodicalId":153802,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Applied Science and Engineering Review","volume":"204 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132985446","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
