It is the lack of the information that limits the number of installations in the study area. Therefore, it is compulsory to study and analyzed the solar radiation of our environment to get better view of monitoring the performance of solar energy conversion system in Sokoto State, so that companies and government should know what period or seasons can therefore utilize the abundant solar energy. A new model was developed for estimation the monthly average daily global solar radiation. In this research a modified angstrom model for estimation of global solar radiation in Sokoto, Nigeria using sunshine duration based on meteorological data were used. However, solar radiation estimates are too local since they rely on weather stations or have a resolution that is too satellites. In this work, a model was developed for estimation of global solar radiation on horizontal surface for Sokoto at latitude of m13 13.00E and longitude of 5.250N. Global solar radiation and maximum temperature data for Sokoto were used to fit the Angstrom model, Regression coefficient a, b, and c. 1.12, 0.65, and 0.32 respectively were obtained from the models base on sunshine duration respectively. In order to evaluate the results, three statistical methods have been used namely: mean bias, root mean square, and percentage errors of values -6.47, 6.47 and 41.20% respectively. It was found from statistical model’s performance indicators that the model provides reasonably high degree of precision in the estimation of average global solar radiation on horizontal surfaces.","PeriodicalId":153802,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Applied Science and Engineering Review","volume":"79 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115393039","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Initial allegations, ethics, and the level of religiosity affect the quality of financial statement compilers. The subjects of this study were employees at the University of Muhammadiyah Aceh, both in the Rectorate and faculty. The source of data in this study is primary data, namely data that is not yet available in the scope of observation, but there must be researcher interaction with respondents (Juliandi 2014: 66). Meanwhile, the data collection technique used in this study was the technique of distributing questionnaires directly to respondents. The results of the research experiment showed that ethical variables have a significant positive effect on the quality of financial statement compilers, this is indicated by the significant probability value of moral variables of 0.024<0.05 meaning that ethical variables have a significant effect on the quality of financial statement compilers, while the variable level of religiosity, this hypothesis was rejected because according to the results of tests conducted by researchers, changes in the level of trust did not have a significant effect on the quality of financial statements. They are also the source of more than 40 million gallons of water each day for use in American industrial power production. As a geopolitical lynchpin and a regional Global Hydro-Hub, the American Midwest has built up its industrial strength through usage of water from the Great Lakes. However, this usage has also brought unanticipated negative consequences, as nearby industry has been found to be the largest source of chloride and other pollutants in the Great Lakes such as garbage disposal waste, sewer runoff, and water softening products, thereby achieving geopolitical stature at the cost of water quality. The demand for water governance from various climate change actors over several generations has given rise to the Great Lakes Water Agreement Act (GLWQA), binational legislation agreed upon by the US and Canada. In this study, quantitative tests including the Welch Test and the Mann-Whitney U test were performed using datasets of water pollution records of Midwest industrialists from the US Environmental Protection Agency as well as industrial output from the North American Industry Classification System. Based on the results of this output, this study will measure the revenue of industrial production in light of the associated water pollution for this region's American states in order to determine whether Midwest industrialists' productivity is counterbalanced by the newest amendments of the GLWQA.","PeriodicalId":153802,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Applied Science and Engineering Review","volume":"145 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122724390","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The objective of the study is to create an automatic waste segregator bin to be used by the households utilizing proximity sensors. Papers, plastics, and metals are the common wastes at home. Using proximity sensors such as inductive, and capacitive sensors, and with the help of motors the machine can automatically segregate the papers, plastics, and metals into their correct bins. The researchers created the whole setup of the motors and sensors using wood, pipe, screws, and nails to be able to create a functional segregator machine. Proving its effectiveness, testing procedures were conducted in detecting and segregating papers, plastics, and metals, then each was tested based on its maximum weight capacity, the detection time, and lastly, the success rate of being able to detect different types of wastes were tested. The results showed that the segregator has a success rate to detect 100% of metals accurately, 100% of papers, and 100% of plastics. The segregator bin has a maximum weight of 0.6 kg and an average detection time of 1.73 seconds. Through the different testing procedures, the researchers found that it is feasible to create an automated segregator bin using proximity sensors which is also a smart recycling bin as it was able to accurately detect papers, plastics, and metals. Although the researchers were able to attain the desired results, future researchers are still recommended to modify, innovate, and improve the automated waste segregator bin.","PeriodicalId":153802,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Applied Science and Engineering Review","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122629679","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Individuals with antibiotic resistance could be on higher risk of getting UTI repeatedly. Therefore, either we need to establish a controlled/prescribed antibiotic use or to find other treatment options, nutritional interventions can play a good role in this regard. A common fruit with a huge number of benefits, Cranberry has been used by North American Indians to treat multiple medicinal conditions including UTI. This review demonstrates the role of cranberry in UTI management by preventing the adhesion of E. coli in the urinary tract. Cranberry appears to work by inhibiting the adhesion of type I and P-fimbriated Escherichia coli to the uroepithelium, thus hinder the colonization and upcoming infections. Adhesion can be averted by 2 ingredients of cranberries: laevulose that prevents binding of type 1 fimbriae and pro-anthocyanidins by preventing pfimbriae binding. The anti-adherent effect initiates in 2 hours and remains for up to 10 hours after consumption of cranberry. Findings suggest that the use of cranberry can be an effective treatment option along with antibiotics or exclusively for UTI cases.","PeriodicalId":153802,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Applied Science and Engineering Review","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122929823","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To reach this, the key parameters have been selected which can affect the Air quality index are temperature, humidity, pressure, wind speed, PM10 and SO2 respectively. Air quality of certain states in India can be used as one of the major factors determining pollution index also how well the city's industries and population is controlled. Urbanized Air quality monitoring has been a constant challenge with the advent of industrialization. Air pollution causes conspicuous damage to the environment as well as to human health resulting in acid rain, heart diseases, global warming and skin cancer to all humankind. This paper addresses the challenge of predicting the Air Quality Index (AQI), with the goal to reduce the pollution before it gets unfavourable and also suggests mankind to move places in advance, using ensemble techniques for predicting the Air Quality Index (AQI). This paper investigates how effective some available prediction models are in predicting the Air Quality Index (AQI) values provided some input data, based on the pollution and meteorological information in India. We carry out regression analysis on the dataset, and our results shows which meteorological factors impact the AQI values most and how helpful the predictive models are to help in air quality prediction.","PeriodicalId":153802,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Applied Science and Engineering Review","volume":"43 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123998681","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
