Rao","doi":"10.29055/JCCS/684","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.29055/JCCS/684","url":null,"abstract":"A new series of novel (5-methyl-1-phenyl-1H-1,2,3-triazol-4-yl)(4arylpiperazino)methanone 8(a-j) has been synthesized from 5-methyl-1-phenyl-1H1,2,3-triazole-4-carboxylic acid 4 and 1-arylpiperazine 7(a-j). Chemical structures of all the new compounds were established by IR, H, C NMR and MS data. The compounds 8(a-j) were evaluated for their antibacterial activity against four human pathogenic bacteria viz., Escherichia coli, Klebseilla pneumoniae, Shigella dysentriae and Shigella flexnei. The products were analyzed by IR and UV-Visible spectra, electrical conductivity, elemental analysis and single crystal X-ray crystallography. Characterization studies showed that the product, [Cu(2,2’-bipy)(H2O)2]SO4, is identical in all the reactions. Dithiocarbamate ligand of each copper complex oxidized to SO4 ion. Single crystal X-ray structure of [Cu(2,2’-bipy)(H2O)2]SO4 indicate that the central copper atom is in a distorted octahedral environment. Valence Bond Sum (VBS) value was also calculated for the crystal structure of [Cu(2,2’-bipy)(H2O)2]SO4 and the results are reported in this paper. Electrochemical properties were determined by cyclic voltammetry. We examine the role that different catalysts play in changing the reaction rate and products. Most importantly, we conduct a literature review to identify the optimal catalyst for obtaining the maximum output of oil at different ranges of temperature and pressure.
