BP algorithm has been widely used in training artificial neural network (ANN), which is an outstanding model to predict Silicon content. BP algorithm has many attractive features, such as adaptive learning, self- organism, and fault tolerant ability. All of them make BP one of the most successful algorithms in various fields. But BP suffers from relatively slow convergence speed, extensive computations and possible divergence for certain conditions. As a new bionic algorithm, the improved ACA has gained very good performance in solving traveling salesman problem (TSP) and other optimization problems. Its properties such as distributed computation, heuristic searching and robustness have well conquered the long convergence speed and premature problem, which are the main deficiencies of BP algorithm. Experiments show the model proposed has good performance in predicting Silicon content of hot metal.","PeriodicalId":153175,"journal":{"name":"2010 Second International Conference on Computer Modeling and Simulation","volume":"5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-01-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121625448","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The structural characteristics of ontology and the effect of instance mapping upon the similarity of ontology are considered generally. Furthermore, our approach represents and measures the structure of the conceptual nodes through the design of a “code” method, and judges the similarity of the nodes via utilizing the similarity of their ancestor nodes within the influential domain. A 1:1 mapping method is also put forward when operating the selection of initial candidates. In this paper, the tools of WordNet, Jena, protégé, etc. are employed. From numerical calculation, when, T0=300K, Ta=500K and Tb=1 650K, the steady heat conduction distributions in the plate were obtained. The numerical results show that the temperature distribution in the composite plate is more reasonable with the increase of the FGM layer thickness. With the increase of M, the temperature on the surface of ceramics reduces by 10.4%. With the increase of porosity, there is an abrupt change for temperature in the middle of the plate, its value is about 770 K. Compared with the results of constant material properties, the maximum temperature on the surface of metal in a three-layered composite FGM plate considered temperature dependency reduces by 8.3%. Compared with, when, the temperature on the surface of metal reduces by 19.8% and the temperature on the surface of ceramics increases by 43.2%. Compared with the nongraded two-layered composite plate, the temperature of the ceramic/metal composite FGM plate are very gentle and smooth. The results provide the foundations of theoretical calculation for the design and application and the further analysis of thermal stress of the ceramic/metal composite FGM plate.","PeriodicalId":153175,"journal":{"name":"2010 Second International Conference on Computer Modeling and Simulation","volume":"52 2","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-01-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"120999658","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Despite that the transition shift can be compensated by a write current technique, the effect of partial erasure complicates the evaluation of the correlation functions for the storage data and the nonreturn-to-zero-inverted modulated data. In this article, we observe the dependence between the partial erasure effect and storage data, and derive the correlation functions for storage data and nonreturn-to-zero-inverted modulated data in a high density magnetic recording channel. The closed-form of the correlation functions are obtained, these results are applied to verify the timing function of the Muller & Mueller's phase detector in a partial response class IV channel via computer simulations.","PeriodicalId":153175,"journal":{"name":"2010 Second International Conference on Computer Modeling and Simulation","volume":"9 7","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-01-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"113941637","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A stable system may work well and effectively. For some PWM controlled converters, low frequency may occur in the output voltage and results in unsteadiness of the system. In this paper buck converters are taken as an example to investigate the stability feature. A delay in the feedback loop is related with stability closely, so the converter with a delay and without a delay are analyzed in detail, respectively. Differential equations for inductor current profile and output voltage profile are established. Characteristic equations are obtained from the differential equations. Based on Hurwitz Stability Criterion, stability requirement is derived from characteristic equations. It is shown that converters without a delay in the feedback loop are steady. On the other hand converters with a delay may be unsteady in some cases. Regulating parameters can avoid the low frequency ripple phenomenon. The proposed approach is verifieded by simulation. The simulation results show that the analysis is correct.","PeriodicalId":153175,"journal":{"name":"2010 Second International Conference on Computer Modeling and Simulation","volume":"70 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-01-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125626957","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Compared with the traditional SVM model based on cross-validation and a single hidden layer of BP neural network model, the new PSO-LSSVM method can accurately describe the nonlinear mapping relationship between the well logging data and the lithology categories.
