Biological structures usually exhibit nonlinear and non-Gaussian distributed characteristics which consequently generate signals embracing nonlinear components as well as phase relations occurring between componets oscillating in different frequencies whose phase couples together over a limited period of time, so called Quadratic Phase Coupling (QPC). In this case the second order power spectrum may not reflect the real characteristics of the biological system. Therefore, the bispectrum analysis was achieved to characterize the nonlinearities and QPCs in OSAS and normal EEGs. Through this analysis the differences in OSAS EEG and normal EEG were comparatively uncovered. Cell Averaging (CA) CFAR radar processors which have the best performance in Gaussian homogeneous environments, exhibits performance degradation in the presence of an interfering target or in regions of abrupt change in the backround clutter power. The Greatest of (GO) CFAR radar processors are designed to control the false alarm rate, during the clutter power transition in the reference window (non-homogeneous clutter environment). The Smallest of (SO) CFAR radar processors improve detection performance when interfering targets exist in the environment but are unable to prevent excessive false alarm in non-homogeneous environments. Variable Index (VI) CFAR processors employs a composite approach based on CA-CFAR, SO-CFAR, GO-CFAR. By using the ray-tracing method, the statistical character of the shadowing phenomenon is determined and the results are compared with the statistical model based on log-normal shadowing. The effects of the number of obstacles, the distances between them, variations in their heights, and the range are investigated for various path geometries on the mean, the standard deviation and the correlation distance of diffraction loss. Probability density functions and histograms of diffraction losses obtained by the ray tracing approach and the log-normal model are compared to each other. We used a feature weighting algorithm in order to represent the whole needed feature set. Because of scarce labeled data and high computational complexity of supervised learning methods, a new semi-supervised learning algorithm extended from Gaussian Random Field methodology combined with active query learning is developed. The proposed approach is applied to newly extracted data from DrugBank database contains nearly 4800 drug entries including FDA approved drugs and synthetic drug and 2640 non-drug proteins. In this work, the symbol error performances of Phase Shift Keying (PSK) and Quadrature Amplitude Modulation (QAM) with different M values (4, 16, 64) are obtained over AWGN and Rayleigh fading channels via simulation. Besides, the simulation results is compared with those of theoratical performance results. At work, the comparison with amplitude response of Kaiser window having many features was done. With this work, GAs having different initial population were used to obtain more useful window function at calculation of suitable spectral parameter values. The obtained results show that to get result, uniform scattered GA is more successful than having random produced population. The toroidal waveform in a rectangular OFDMA system is constituted by using multiple Hermite — Gaussian functions. The proposed work outperforms the transmission scheme where only single Gaussian pulses are used as the transmission base in the sense of bandwidth efficiency. The literature includes many studies about the solution of the communication and interaction problems experienced by the blind people. In this work, we design and implement a text-based system with the aim of solving the communication problem. The designed system has two stages, namely Turkish-to-Braille text translation and vice versa. The system can translate Turkish text into Braille-2 with no error.
