Abstract

Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) has been used very often in new generation wireless networks. On the other hand, contrast to recent wireless networks employing modulations with contant M value (binary or quadrature), in new generation systems the use of modulation techniques with different M values according to the condition of transmssion channel is proposed. In this work, the symbol error performances of Phase Shift Keying (PSK) and Quadrature Amplitude Modulation (QAM) with different M values (4, 16, 64) are obtained over AWGN and Rayleigh fading channels via simulation.
