Methods: Descriptive study, which consisted of the review of 114 theses on health topics in all four doctoral programs - Medicine, Nursing, Health Sciences and Neurosciences - from the creation of the first doctoral program in 1999, until 2020. Four quality indicators were used: scientific problem, sample, analysis (comparability) and conclusions, as well as other complementary indicators to evaluate the writing of the thesis and its social relevance, categorizing them into excellent, acceptable and not acceptable. Results: With the quality indicators there were 32 excellent theses (28.1%), 34 (29.8%) acceptable, and 48 (42.1%) not acceptable. On the other hand, 63 theses (55.2%) had good syntax (acceptable) and in 5 (3.4%) did not make good use of scientific terminology (not acceptable). 17.0% of the theses had both indicators - methodological and writing - of good quality. Conclusion: The doctoral theses evaluated were methodologically acceptable for the most part, with the health sciences theses achieving the best results with the methodological indicators. Cases from 9 years of age to 90 years of age or older were taken into account. Cases studied by covid were taken into account people suffering from other diseases. ACE2 is the angiotensin-converting enzyme 2, which also acts as a receptor for SARS-CoV 2. This enzyme has a positive correlation with estrogen, this hormone increases the release of acids allowing resistance to this virus. Estrogen was also found to help promote the release of immunoglobulin G and immunoglobulin M. Estrogen also helps release nitric oxide which will help suppress virus replication and acts as a vasodilator, which decreases cardiovascular risk. On the other hand, androgens inhibit the release of immunoglobulin G and immunoglobulin M. We searched Medline, Pubmed, Central Cochrane and Embase databases. Observational studies (case-control and cohorts) that were published no more than 5 years ago and studied MPV as a diagnostic marker of NS, were included. From 60 articles identified, 12 were selected to be analyzed. We found that the diagnostic cut-off point for MPV ranged between 9.2 and 10.8 fL. In addition, the highest reported diagnostic sensitivity was 100%, and the lowest, 70%; while the specificity ranged from 33% to 94.4% according to each study.
