This essay aims to answer the following research question: which communication principles should cancer hospitals respect when they report about their artificial intelligence initiatives for branding purposes? We analyzed these hospitals’ corporate communication and branding strategies, as well as their initiatives on artificial intelligence. We resorted to three databases, four keywords and three inclusion criteria to find papers published about this area these last ten years (2013-2022). Based on this literature review, we proposed ten communication principles to help cancer hospitals integrate artificial intelligence, corporate communication, and branding. We concluded this essay by stating that cancer hospitals’ corporate communication department need to employ experts in artificial intelligence, explain to employees the positive impact of AI in the hospital’s processes, and implement a communication approach focused on satisfying stakeholders’ information needs rather than promoting medical treatments.","PeriodicalId":14964,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Advanced Research in Social Sciences and Humanities","volume":"105 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"85882507","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Sering, What Things Mean by Sophia N. Lee, and Salingkit by Cyan Abad-Jugo. Theories on language and thought and the modularity of the mind were reviewed in the reconfiguration of the translanguaging model assisted by CDA and the protocol of discourse analysis particularly in the gathering and treatment of data. Results of the study indicated the effectiveness of translanguaging strategies emanating from the aesthetic translanguaging space and the imaginative translanguaging instinct of the authors which helped in the appealing narrative techniques and creative discourse styles of the works. It is recommended that translanguaging as practice and theory be explored further in ESL/ELT/EMI and the disciplines to optimize its potentialities as a decolonizing stance as well as a relevant and helpful paradigm in resolving pressing language-related problems and challenges of the times.","PeriodicalId":14964,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Advanced Research in Social Sciences and Humanities","volume":"65 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"79208517","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We can only read printed material as individuals while we listen as an audience. The body forms and vibrates with the voice, which \"disappears the moment it is pronounced,\" whereas writing \"separates the word from the live presentation, where only spoken words may remain\". However, writing as speech and writing about speech contribute crucial elements to work, and one might argue that creative writing, which sprang from an oral tradition, not only minimizes the distance between writing and voice but also feeds on their closeness. If speech \"disappears,\" then creative writing maintains its traces alive. According to Richard and Willy (2002), writing is considered an active skill that demands output more than recognition, and hence, Second language writers must take notice of \"the higher level skills of planning and arrange and the lower-level skills of spelling, punctuation, and so on\". The students are expected to acquire not just the talent of acquiring and arranging ideas but also the art of expressing those ideas in legible prose. Therefore, the messages may be sent effectively.","PeriodicalId":14964,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Advanced Research in Social Sciences and Humanities","volume":"63 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"76846473","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To achieve the purpose of the study, the researchers applied the tools to target a sample of second intermediate-grade female students at Maysaloon Girls School in two groups, Experimental and control were used in this study. The experimental group was taught the inductive, deductive, and interactive strategies, and the control group studied the traditional way method. While at a time when new trends in language teaching encourage the use of interactive methods of stimulation and maintaining student interest, and the constant tendency to retain a teacher-centred approach to teaching English grammar is counterproductive. The most effective methods currently available are monotonous by heart. Learning needs no longer dominate the main part of the lesson. The interactive strategy is multi-skilled and learner-centred and designed to teach a specific grammatical concept will also be introduced. To answer the main research question of whether inductive, deductive, and interactive methods are so, the researchers used a more effective introductory method of teaching grammar instead of the traditional method, so grammatical competence plays a significant role in students’ language. When students have Grammatical Competence, they will be able to develop their writing comprehension.","PeriodicalId":14964,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Advanced Research in Social Sciences and Humanities","volume":"14 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"88127670","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study hypothesized that there is no statistically significant difference between the mean scores of the experimental group which was taught strategic planning and the control group taught conventional strategy in the post-writing test, and there is no statistically significant difference between the mean scores of the experimental group who is taught by strategic planning and the control group who is taught by conventional strategy in the post writing test. The sample of this study consists of (60) pupils who have been chosen from the Fourth scientific grade (biological branch) at Al-Bayan Preparatory School for Girls. (30) pupils have been chosen to be the experimental group, and (30) pupils have been chosen to be the control group in the academic year (2021 -2022). Both groups have been equalized in such variables as the educational level of parents, English scores in the previous schooling year, and the pre-test of both groups. The data collected from the results of the post-test have been analyzed statistically by using the T-test of two independent samples and paired samples formula. The results explain that there is a statistically significant difference in the mean scores of the experimental group which is taught according to strategic planning and the control group which is taught by using the conventional method. Previous research in the Malaysian context mainly takes students at the tertiary level, with few only done on secondary students and thus has been unable to thoroughly investigate the preferred VLS of secondary and tertiary ESL students. Examining the vocabulary-learning strategies preferred by ESL secondary and tertiary students in Malaysia is significant. VLS is important in determining Malaysian ESL students' English language communication performance. Quantitative convenience sampling methods were employed to determine the preferred VLS among Malaysian students. Data was gathered from 320 secondary and tertiary Malaysian ESL students using a revised Vocabulary Learning Strategies Questionnaires (VLSQ) version 6.4. Findings indicated that secondary and tertiary Malaysian students preferred metacognitive compared to other dimensions. Regarding gender, results showed significant differences between male and female students in meta-cognitive and cognitive VLS dimensions. In addition, secondary students preferred to use dictionaries, whilst tertiary students preferred using meta-cognitive regulation to learn new English vocabulary. These results show that students employed different VLSs in learning new vocabulary. Also, it demonstrated that genders played a significant role when students learn vocabulary, as results showed a significant difference between male and female students in VLS dimension preferences.","PeriodicalId":14964,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Advanced Research in Social Sciences and Humanities","volume":"28 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"90850642","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In Kenya, persons who have different types of disabling conditions have been excluded or isolated from mainstream society and denied opportunities due to a belief that they may be dangerous and not capable of participating in any meaningful activities. They are denied access to opportunities due to lack of knowledge and cultural beliefs. Even with Kenya having signed and ratified the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNCRPD) and included these rights in the Constitution in 2010, many cases of injustices continue to pop up in the media. This study was a review of newspaper articles for the year 2015 and 2016 on representation of {dis}ability in two Kenyan newspapers - The Standard and the Daily Nation. In the study, existence of negative attitudes, violence, sexual harassment, limited financial support and weak policies were noted. Isolation from society leading to stigmatization was also noted to occur thus making it is hard for people living with a disability to learn daily living skills and integrate in society. Finally, implementation of policies that provide for access to opportunities by those with disabilities at County level of government continues to slow full implementation of policies on disability.","PeriodicalId":14964,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Advanced Research in Social Sciences and Humanities","volume":"67 2 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"83566619","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
