It has two main functions: (1) resource management and (2) service provisioning. It is difficult to efficiently carry out these two goals with traditional system because a satellite ground system contains a variety of elements and users' service demands are increasing as well. In this paper, we propose a new satellite ground system with an \"edge-cloud-terminal\" structure. Cloud computing and edge computing are used to efficiently manage system resources and improve service quality, respectively. A user's request is responded by the edge data center which is close to the user to lower service latency. Moreover, the information flow and the task management strategy of the ground system are described.","PeriodicalId":149643,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 6th International Conference on Frontiers of Educational Technologies","volume":"71 13","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-06-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133587855","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

From such factors, we propose a model for predicting student outcomes. In our study, we have conducted several models in order to predict the student's learning outcomes, using a course of 231 participants. Obtained data from the logs file of an LMS system is analyzed using learning analytics and machine learning techniques, and the results propose that the four factors are the number of views, the number of posts, the number of forum views, and the number of on-time submitted assignments impact on the student's learning outcomes. For the forecast of the final exam grade based on the results of the formative assessment tests, Bayesian Ridge is the most accurate among the four conducted models (Linear Regression, KNR, SVM, Bayesian Ridge). Our study can be a useful material for lecturers and course designers in effectively organizing blended learning courses.","PeriodicalId":149643,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 6th International Conference on Frontiers of Educational Technologies","volume":"55 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-06-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124575574","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Currently, studies focusing on the extraction of available travel information from actual tourists' evaluations and reviews on social media sites have been conducted under numerous occasions. In this study, we have proposed another effective yet simple method of discovering local travel-information from traveler's blogs by locating region-sensitive information for the travelers. In this process, regionally restricted words are first extracted based on their frequency of appearances inside the blog. Then, a region-restrictedness score of each blog is calculated through the analysis of the previously extracted regionally restricted phrases. From there, we begin analyzing the content of each blog and classify them into pre-defined categories, using LDA model and word embedding-representations. Through this process, we are able to generate blog recommendations based on our method and see some successful examples as a proof for the effectiveness of our approach.","PeriodicalId":149643,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 6th International Conference on Frontiers of Educational Technologies","volume":"61 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-06-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126172607","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In their method, they applied pixel value expansion approach to vacate a specific room for data concealing. However, we find out that the Huang and Wang's method will have a shortcoming of non-reversible encryption while the specific room is larger than 193. This paper proposes an improved method for overcoming the shortcoming of nonreversible encryption developed by Huang and Wang. In our embedding process, the prediction error (PE) is firstly computed, and then, the prediction error strategy is taken into consideration for secret data embedding. The prediction error strategy is applied to determine that the original pixel or flipping one MSB original pixel is suitable for performing message hiding. The experimental results show that the proposed method has superior performance in terms of embedding capacity and compression ratio than that of the other state-of-the-art methods.","PeriodicalId":149643,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 6th International Conference on Frontiers of Educational Technologies","volume":"41 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-06-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132523136","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

One of the goals in learning Mathematics is that students have the ability to solve problems including the ability to understand problems, design mathematical models, solve the problem and interpret the solutions obtained. This study aimed to describe the process students solve mathematical problems based on the Polya model presented in word problems and picture illustrations. This study was qualitative research with a phenomenological design. The Data were collected by using test, interview, and observations. The participants of this study were 29 junior high school students in Indonesia. The participants were selected refer to the Mathematics teacher's recommendations and the suitability between the research objectives and the topics they had learned. The result of this study indicated that students had difficulty in solving on word problem, especially on the stage of understanding the problem and devising the plan. Furthermore, students faced obstacles in devising the plan and looking a back stage in illustrated problems which affect the outcome of the problem completion.","PeriodicalId":149643,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 6th International Conference on Frontiers of Educational Technologies","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-06-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115034400","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The recent rapid development of IT technologies benefits pedagogical data analysis via the provisioning of many advanced technologies such as big data analysis and machine learning. Meanwhile, the privacy of the students become another concern and this makes the educational institutions reluctant to share their students' data, forming isolated data islands and hindering the realization of big pedagogical data analysis. To tackle such challenge, in this paper, we propose a federated learning based education data analysis framework FEEDAN, via which pedagogical data federations can be formed by a number of institutions. None of them needs to direct exchange the their pedagogical data with each other and they always keep the data in their own place to guarantee their students' privacy. We apply our framework to analyze real pedagogical data. The experiment results show that it not only guarantees the students' privacy but also indeed breaks the borders of data island by achieving a higher analysis quality. Our framework can much approach the performance of centralized analysis which needs to collect the data in a common place with the risk of privacy exposure.","PeriodicalId":149643,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 6th International Conference on Frontiers of Educational Technologies","volume":"35 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-06-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133734211","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Moreover, the use of container technology is now made easier by the existence of orchestration tools such as Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, and Mesos. Orchestration tools make it easier for container users to deploy services and control resource. One of the main components of orchestration tools is a scheduler whose job is to manage container placement into a host. In this research, we tried to make a custom scheduler on Kubernetes using Stable Marriage Problem to get the best deployment between containers and hosts. Our trial scenario is to match three web services with three different hosts/servers. From the results of the experiment, containers that are deployed by using the SMP-scheduler have advantages in containers that prioritize CPU usage.","PeriodicalId":149643,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 6th International Conference on Frontiers of Educational Technologies","volume":"27 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-06-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124985275","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Using a virtual environment, the app intends to help provide an experience for a user to give the players a chance to get over their fears without having to go through the burden of multiple therapies. Given that people with phobias do not see a doctor or psychiatrist as often as they should, people are always feeling threatened whenever they come in contact with what caused their fear in the first place, which is sometimes inevitable. The study focus on most common phobias with the use of Virtual Reality Technology that will assist psychologists and psychiatrists in treating phobias. The developed virtual reality system is fully functional and technically assessed to meet the requirements of its intended use. Based from the Psychologists, Psychiatrist and experts' user acceptance testing done, the developed system is equipped with requirements intended for patients with phobia. The application is working properly according to its purpose and is suited to be used for patients' for phobia exposure and interaction in a virtual reality environment.","PeriodicalId":149643,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 6th International Conference on Frontiers of Educational Technologies","volume":"19 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-06-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125041799","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
