Keeping patient’s lung oxygenating during the operation is very critical in the absence of cardiopulmonary bypass. Complete tracheal resection with reconstruction by using endotracheal tube oxygenation is quite troublesome as one has to put patient without ventilatory support many times for a time being during reconstruction is being done. The present case deals with the same situation and elaborates successful outcome by using cross-field anesthesia and avoiding the use of cumbersome cardio-pulmonary bypass.","PeriodicalId":14916,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Anesthesia & Critical Care: Open Access","volume":"16 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-10-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"90249397","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Fibromatoses is fibroblast origin benign tumor lesion, locally invasive but never metastatic and with high recurrence rate [2]. There are two types of DT – superficial and the deep group. The deep group is divided into extra abdominal, intra-abdominal and abdominal type and all of them are histologically similar [1]. Extra abdominal presentation is the rarest type and usually tumor is located on head and neck [3], chest wall [4] and spinal cord [5]. Limb localization is most often found in the upper extremity shoulder and arm region, and in lower extremity buttocks, back of the thigh and knee joint [6-8]. So far, the literature describes only several cases of anterior lower limb presentation of desmoid tumor, one case presentation in bilateral lower limbs and there are no literature findings of ipsilateral knee and ankle joint presentation (Table 1) [7-10]. However, Post-dural puncture headache (PDPH) has been a problem for patients next to dural puncture which is the iatrogenic cause of patient’s morbidity in modern anesthesia, as well as pain management therapy after attempted epidural and spinal blocks [2]. It is believed to be caused through penetration of dura matter by spinal needle with continuous cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) outflow. The concern of the new born and bond of family member may be affected by the post operative headache [4].","PeriodicalId":14916,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Anesthesia & Critical Care: Open Access","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-10-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"90714915","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These seizures can be very short lived and barely detectable or they can be characterized by vigorous shaking that can last for a long period. The immediate trigger for epileptic seizures cannot be pinpointed despite the fact that they have the tendency to recur. Most cases of epilepsy are caused by unknown causes. The most common causes include brain tumours, birth defects caused by different teratogens this happen in what is referred to as epileptogenesis, stroke or injury to the brain. Genetic mutations may play a very small role in the occurrence of epilepsy. The cause of epileptic seizures can be traced to abnormal and excessive activity of the nerve cells in the brain cortex.Epilepsy can be controlled using medication in most cases. In most western countries, a substantial portion of the population use anti epileptic drugs, this is because the disease is a very common neurological disorder that may be chronic in nature. Due to this long term use of these drugsthere have been claims that they may be responsible for the occurrence of some forms of cancer in human beings.","PeriodicalId":14916,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Anesthesia & Critical Care: Open Access","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-10-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"91275979","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The Boars are very difficult to maintain in groups without fighting and grave physically damage, and neuter was used as a way of minimizing this violent behavior [1]. The method described in this paper is simpler, Guinea pigs (Cavia porcellus) was handled softly and with concern to injury to the pet and the surgeon appropriately following hygiene as recommended by Mcgreevy [2]. Mainly boars get sexual maturity by 4-6 weeks of age and are capable of impregnating the sows [3]. It is important to treat the disease depending upon the severity and type of urgency. The management of several diseases in pregnancy has been reported earlier but it is necessary to report a rare pathology, treatment option and its anaesthetic management [1]. Spinal tumors although being rare in pregnancy can cause serious problems in terms of continuing pregnancy. Increased tumor growth or edema, increased vascularity, or pregnancy-related immunotolerance under hormonal influence constitute or exacerbate the symptoms. Especially, progressive neurologic deficits necessitate urgent spinal surgery in the pregnant patients [2]. The aim of this case report is to present the anaesthetic approach in the surgery of a pregnant woman with a thoracic intradural extramedullary meningoma.","PeriodicalId":14916,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Anesthesia & Critical Care: Open Access","volume":"28 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-10-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"83381153","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is a primitive protective airway reflex (VA), which occurs to safeguard the integrity of the airway by protecting it from tracheobronchial aspiration [1]. LEP is also defined as an exaggerated response to closure reflex or glottic muscle spasm. Essentially it is a protective reflex, which acts to prevent the entry of any foreign material into the tracheobronchial tree. The presence of this reflex results in an impediment to adequate breathing, under these conditions it becomes a sudden obstruction of upper VA. A feature of LEP is that VA closure is maintained even after the initial causal stimulus disappears. In any of the situations mentioned above, we face a partial or total loss of VA, and therefore an anesthetic urgency. 40% of VA obstructions are secondary to LEP, may result in a lifethreatening complication, and is a major cause of cardiac arrest in the pediatric patient.","PeriodicalId":14916,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Anesthesia & Critical Care: Open Access","volume":"2012 1","pages":"1-6"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-10-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"87720037","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This polymyxin has gained an important role as salvage therapy for patients infected with microorganisms susceptible only to colistin. It is important to know the dark face of colistin referring here to its important toxicity, often lethal, especially in critically ill patients. Given its rarity we briefly mentioned a case of profound encephalopathy in a post-surgical patient who recovered completely after stopping the drug. In addition, its variable pharmacokinetics make it very difficult to establish an effective regimen, most of which is infratherapeutic and with the limitation of its toxicity, which is a terrible problem for humanity. The common sense of the clinician and the birth of new antibiotics, as an alternative strategy, represent a hope to eradicate multiresistance.","PeriodicalId":14916,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Anesthesia & Critical Care: Open Access","volume":"62 1","pages":"1-2"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-10-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"80627838","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
