Two competitive mechanisms of plastic deformation are proposed. The first mechanism is supported by the observation of mobile perfect (or slightly dissociated) α dislocations. The second mechanism involves less mobile widely dissociated β (or screw) dislocations. It is suggested that the large dissociation of these dislocations is due to the lower mobility of the 30° (β) partials Deformation d'echantillons GaAs a temperature ambiante et sous une pression de confinement de 600 MPa et proposition de deux mecanismes de deformation plastique. Ce resultat est obtenu apres l’application d’une pression hydrostatique en helium gazeux de 1.5 kbar et le relâchement de la pression a basse temperature. This feature is independent of the flow structure at large distances from the stagnation points. La monocouche contenant de l'alcool, on trouve une valeur tres faible du coefficient K (K∼k B T). On etudie ensuite les interfaces microemulsion-huile et microemission-eau recouvertes du meme film. On trouve qu'il existe une zone perturbee dans la microemulsion au contact de cette monocouche, zone dont l'epaisseur est comparable a la taille des objets dans la microemulsion. The samples are made from a mixture of liquid crystal polymethacrylate with deuterated or protonated backbones. The samples are studied with neutron diffraction and small angle neutron scattering. The results show in particular that in the aligned smectic phase the backbone is highly anisotropic and confined within a smectic layer. In agreement with a theoretical prediction by Hornreich et al., this new Blue Phase has been found in a short pitch cholesteric liquid crystal of positive dielectric anisotropy submitted to a large enough electric field. Its symmetry, compatible with crystal forms and with Bragg reflections, is either P6 1 22 or P6 2 22.
