In the first step of the study, only the punch contact bending region of sheet metal was locally heated with a constant feed rate (1 mm s−1) and at different laser powers (50, 75, and 100% Watt). In the next step, the sheet material was transferred to the bending die for bending without any cooling process, and into the last stage, the sheet material was formed in different angled V-bending dies (30°, 60°, and 90°). The results showed that sulphide capacities enhanced with the increase of temperature, basicity, FetO, and MgO contents, TiO2 content increased first and then decreased in the range of 10 wt-% to 20 wt-%; the influence became negligible as the TiO2 content exceeded 25 wt-%. MgO significantly increased the sulphide capacities of slag in the range of 6 wt-% to 8 wt-%, continued to increase the MgO content, and the increasing trend of Log CS became slowly; FetO content increased from 3 wt-% to 9 wt-%, sulphide capacities increased slowly, increased dramatically in the range of 9 wt-% to 15 wt-%. Iron-bearing and carbonaceous by-products are generated by ironmaking and steelmaking units and fed into the sinter plant. These by-products, which have varying proportions of ultra-fines, balling properties, moisture retention capacities, and so on, have a significant impact on sinter quality when used in sinter green mixtures. This study investigates the use of micro-fines and how it affects sinter quality while keeping operational factors such as moisture addition, balling index, and bed permeability in mind. In addition, the ideal moisture addition is investigated using higher micro-fines bearing dusts/sludges of various iron-bearing materials. The presence of columnar SFCA (Silico-ferrite of Calcium and Aluminium) is revealed by microscopic examination of the sinter produced with higher micro fines and good permeability, which improves the Reduction Degradation Index. Taking the whole sintering production process as the research object, cutting-edge intelligent algorithms and classical sintering theories are applied to establish a sintering batch optimization model, a sinter layer permeability prediction model, a sintering end point optimization control model and a sinter quality prediction and evaluation model respectively, supported by a large amount of historical data, so that the model has reasonably accurate results as well as strong practicality. At the same time, a sintering whole process intelligent manufacturing system based on the above four models is constructed using Java and Python programming languages. The system realizes the functions of real-time analysis of key parameters, intelligent early warning, decision optimization and fault tracing, which provides reasonable line optimization suggestions for field operators, and significantly improves the intelligence and production efficiency of sintering process. The genetic algorithm - Levenberg Marquardt - backpropagation neural network model was developed for the analysis of heredity effect of the cross-sectional profile of hot-rolled strip. The feature importance was analysed based on random forest and extreme gradient boosting methods. Furthermore, the influence law was analysed by data visualization. The coupling term of the strip crown and thickness , the edge drop and the coupling term of the strip wedge and thickness are recommended as key indexes of the hot-rolled silicon steel strip. As the transverse thickness difference must be controlled below 7 μm, the corresponding , , should be controlled no more than 60, between -10∼10 μm and no more than 7.5 , respectively. It will not only damage the smelting equipment but also seriously injure the personnel. In this study, first, the information of liquid level, audio information and vibration information are detected by multiple sensors respectively. Then the fused information is used to forecast the splashing. Finally, the multitasking fuzzy controller is used to suppress splashing. The results show that the method of forecasting and suppressing splashing can accurately forecast and achieve rapid suppression. Castable compositions with self-flowing and vibratable consistency (distribution coefficients, q = 0.21 and 0.29) are prepared using commercial raw materials and processed as per the conventional processing route, cured at 110°C, and fired at 1000 and 1550°C. An increase in yttria content is found to improve the physical and mechanical properties of castables for all temperatures. The microstructures are analysed by scanning electron microscope (SEM), optical microscope (OM) and electron backscattered diffraction (EBSD) analysis. Mechanical properties tests are carried out to study the effect of Ce on the tensile and impact properties. The results show that after Ce treatment, the typical inclusions are modified from Al2O3 inclusions and Al2O3+MnS complex inclusions to Ce-O-S inclusions, and the inclusions are refined. The area fraction, size and length/width ratio of martensite-austenite (M-A) constituents decrease with the addition of Ce. In the Ce-containing steel, the grains are finer, and the proportion of high angle grain boundaries and low-Σ coincidence site lattice boundaries is higher.
