This method makes it possible that such animal images as difficult to detect by object recognition can be detected by motion detection, and vice versa. The experimental results show the detection ratio and hit ratio are 100% and 84%, respectively, for videos including animals. We constructed a system which enables a student to attend classes using an alter ego robot which provides scenery of the class to the student through a monitor in front of the student. It is important to restrict the amount of information on the class lesson given to the student to avoid decrease in concentration. As a method to restrict the amount of the information, we propose a service in which notable description on the blackboard pointed by the teacher is magnified and shown to the student through the monitor. The parameters which can affect human psychology such as magnification rate, tracking characteristics to the change of the pointed position, the timing to return from magnification to the normal display when the pointing motion ends, are evaluated by the Semantic Differential method. It is clarified from the factor analysis that the emotion to the service can be expressed by the factors of legibility, emotionality and stability. In addition, the desirable magnification rate, breakpoint frequency of the first order delay characteristics to the change of pointed position, and dead time before returning to the normal display are clarified. In comparison with the conventional methods based on either confocal microscopy or optical coherent tomography, the proposed method can achieve both surface profile measurement and wider measurement area of car body panels. In this method, the reconstructed amplitude and the phase distribution of the object wave reflected from each paint layer can be obtained and used for investigating both the surface profile of the coating film and the distribution of bright materials in the desired paint layer. It is shown that the thickness of the clear paint layer on two pieces of gray car-body-panels having the different appearance is different and the depth distribution of the bright materials shows a local variation in both body-panels. The performance of the new drawing compasses was evaluated. In the developed drawing compasses, by holding with one finger, a lead is set up, and a constant writing pressure is put on the lead. By pushing with same one finger, a pushing force is acted to the developed drawing compasses in only one direction, and the circle is drawn. In this paper, a structure, a mechanism and form changes about the developed drawing compasses were shown. An analytical model was generated for analyzing the pushing force and the writing pressure. The drawing compasses was created actually. The validity of the analytical model was checked from a comparison between the created drawing compasses and the analytical model. The circle was drawn actually using the created drawing compasses. However, previous research shows that drivers over-rely on autonomous driving. The safety of SAE level 3 autonomous driving will be in question if it allows drivers behaviors unrelated to driving. Therefore, we observed drivers’ behavior on autonomous driving using a driving simulator and consider the tendency of behavior. In this study, in order to clarify the effect of temperature reduction around driver’s seat, the experiment of measuring temperature and the numerical simulation under changing the blowing direction to driver’s seat backrest in a car cabin were conducted. Especially in a narrow channel, we suggested the setting the deflector (flat rectangular plate) at upstream of the turbine. To examine the performance improvement effect, we performed the torque measurement experiments and three dimensional numerical simulation of flow. All tested deflectors caused the change of the flow pattern compared to the without deflector.
