However, there are conflicts of interest and differences in viewpoints among governments, residents and tourists in heritage tourism. This thesis aims to explore the conflicts in heritage tourism and propose effective methods of coordination. Through a literature review and a case study, the researcher investigates two urban heritages in Athens: the Parthenon and the Academy of Plato. By comparatively analyzing the geographical location, the number of tourists, the economic income, and the attitudes of the stakeholders of these heritages, the causes of the conflicts between the government, the residents, and the tourists are revealed. Finally, this thesis proposes some future directions and work plans to achieve a balance between the interests of government, residents and tourists.","PeriodicalId":144072,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Civil Engineering and Urban Planning","volume":"100 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131572883","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

With a large number of construction projects, land resources are increasingly scarce, and a large number of SSF will be used as construction land foundations. The base material in soft soil has many physical and chemical properties and active properties different from other soft soil materials. Under the action of strong external pressure, the SSF of high-speed tunnel is easy to bend. Because there are many defects in SSF, there are great security risks in industrial buildings, so it is necessary to use SSF treatment technology to change the problems in SSF during construction. By analyzing the characteristics of SSF, this paper focuses on the importance of SSF treatment and discusses the application of common foundation treatment technology in industrial building construction.","PeriodicalId":144072,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Civil Engineering and Urban Planning","volume":"161 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115396686","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The scour mechanism around the pier foundation is complex. The current code mainly uses empirical formulas to predict the scour depth of the pier, and the prediction results are generally too discrete. In order to accurately predict the local scour depth of bridge piers, 337 sets of model scour test data were collected in this paper. The standardized method was used to process the data dimensionlessly, and the Pearson correlation analysis method was used to analyze the correlation of the experimental data. It is concluded that the pier diameter, water flow depth, water flow velocity, median particle size and particle size standard deviation are the main influencing factors of local scour depth of bridge piers. The sensitivity analysis method is used to analyze the sensitivity of the five parameters and analyze their influence on the local scour depth of the pier. A prediction model of local scour depth of bridge piers based on least squares support vector machine (LS-SVM) is proposed. The results show that the prediction results of the model are obviously better than the calculation results of the current specification. After the dimensionless treatment, the coefficient of determination of the prediction model is increased from 0.624 to 0.824. The predicted value of the local scour depth of the pier is in good agreement with the measured value, which can provide reference for bridge design and safe operation.","PeriodicalId":144072,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Civil Engineering and Urban Planning","volume":"121 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127184247","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The discussion is initiated by an exploration of the prestressed concrete pipe-pile and the unique challenges brought forth by the soft ground conditions, characterized by low strength, high compressibility, and plasticity. Subsequently, the paper delves into the practical application of prestressed pipe-piles in the soft ground, shedding light on potential limitations and pertinent issues. The intent of this analysis is to furnish a comprehensive guide for foundation design and construction in soft ground conditions, thereby equipping decision-makers and practitioners with valuable insights to navigate analogous situations effectively.","PeriodicalId":144072,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Civil Engineering and Urban Planning","volume":"53 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129552768","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
