In addition we proposed a joint algorithm of sensing time and a cooperative user in order to obtain the maximal efficiency of the CR network. Results obtained from simulations process shows that the efficiency of the proposed algorithm is predominant and when SNR=0dB, it holds 0.4W more residual power than that of sensing-throughput tradeoff model. And lastly we shows that cooperative detection can improve the efficiency of the model, however the results also shows that the efficiency of the model may degrade when large numbers of cooperative CRs are involved in the process.","PeriodicalId":143739,"journal":{"name":"7th International Conference on Communications and Networking in China","volume":"32 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127661162","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, these detectors degrade seriously when the antenna correlation is low or the noises through antennas are correlated (i.e. spatial colored noise), and even fail to perform sensing when primary signals through antennas are uncorrelated (i.e., antenna uncorrelation). In order to address this issue, in this paper, we present a Friedman test based spectrum sensing detector which compares the power of the received signals through antennas and hence it needs no priori information of the noise and the primary signal. In addition, the decision threshold level of the presented detector is not related to the number of samples, but related only to the number of antennas and the required false alarm probability. Finally, the performance of the proposal is verified by numerical simulations.","PeriodicalId":143739,"journal":{"name":"7th International Conference on Communications and Networking in China","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117241265","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Multi-Input-Multi-Output (MIMO) as one of the important techniques to improve the capacity of Long Term Evolution (LTE) systems have been widely discussed. However, how to deploy MIMO for indoor scenarios is still a problem which needs to be solved at present. In this paper, dual-path single-polarized antenna and dual-path dual-polarized antenna solutions are analyzed. According to simulation and test results, under appropriate indoor scenarios, the both solutions have good coverage performance and have 56% improvement in capacity performance compared with traditional single-path single-polarized antenna solution.","PeriodicalId":143739,"journal":{"name":"7th International Conference on Communications and Networking in China","volume":"32 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121175822","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, the existing decorrelation DOA algorithms eliminate the coherency by sacrificing effective array aperture. In this paper, a modified SS algorithm, Virtual-array SS (VSS), is proposed based on virtual array extension for decorrelation. VSS utilizes non-circular symmetry incident signal to extend the original array to generate virtual signal array. The direction finding performance of the virtual array is analyzed using MUSIC-like algorithms. This paper presents an energy-efficiency Optimized LEACH-C. First, we select a group of cluster heads using LEACH-C. Next, taking retransmission and acknowledgment into consideration, we create a model of cluster head energy consumption. We will calculate the quadratic sum of the distances from each cluster head to its member nodes in the optimal solution. Finally, the largest energy consumption for a single cluster head in the next round will be estimated, and all nodes with residual energy larger than the calculated consumption will be taken to a new round of simulated annealing to find a better solution. Thus, loss of the cluster head for each round can be minimized, and the WSN lifetime can be extended ultimately.","PeriodicalId":143739,"journal":{"name":"7th International Conference on Communications and Networking in China","volume":"104 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115218835","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Wireless networks are supposed to provide higher capacity for broadband services, as well as to be as robust and fast as wired network. The reason for the distinct gap between the two is that in wireless networks, the signal transmitted by a node may reach several other nodes, and a node may receive signals from several other nodes simultaneously. This broadcast nature is traditionally considered harmful, because it may cause interference or even collision. However, the novel concept of network coding turns this drawbacks into a capacity boosting potential advantage. Network coding is a technique where the nodes of a network take several packets and combine them together for transmission instead of simply relaying the packets they receive. In this paper, we proposed a physical-layer network coding scheme which is simple to implement for OFDM system. We apply this scheme in 802.11g system to demonstrate that with modified frame format, intentionally collided messages can be decoded and improve network throughput as well as spectrum efficiency.","PeriodicalId":143739,"journal":{"name":"7th International Conference on Communications and Networking in China","volume":"7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132075826","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
