To do this, we designed the Pulsed Doppler radar simulator for tracking a virtual target. This simulator includes the whole process of radar signal processing. In order to consider the nonlinearity of measurement data and TBD environment, we lowered the CFAR threshold to generate many false alarms and we consider a complicated moving path of a target. Under these conditions, the tracking performances of EnKF, Extended Kalman Filter, and Particle Filter (PF) are compared and analyzed. In this given scenario, the performances of EnKF and PF were more reliable than EKF. EnKF and PF showed similar performances. Considering complexity and diversity loss by resampling that PF requires, this result shows that EnKF can be an effective alternative of PF, because the optimization of EnKF is simpler than PF.","PeriodicalId":143491,"journal":{"name":"2018 22nd International Microwave and Radar Conference (MIKON)","volume":"145 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-05-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122775116","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To this end, an office-based measurement setup has been proposed. Within the measurement area, 25 nodes have been set up in order to create a IEEE 802.15.4 tree-based test network structure. A dedicated jamming device that generates and transmits a continuous wave signal has been developed. Several tests have been conducted and presented to demonstrate the network's vulnerability to jamming attacks for different jammer power levels and its positions across the scene.","PeriodicalId":143491,"journal":{"name":"2018 22nd International Microwave and Radar Conference (MIKON)","volume":"25 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-05-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116025430","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper investigates the impact of the Beacon Interval (BI) on the passive radar performance. The results of a dedicated acquisition campaign show that both the detection capability and the localization accuracy progressively degrade as the BI increases due to both the reduction of the received beacons and to the intrinsic undersampling of the target motion. Limit values are suggested for practical applications.","PeriodicalId":143491,"journal":{"name":"2018 22nd International Microwave and Radar Conference (MIKON)","volume":"43 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115676709","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The solution was designed to ensure a reliable wireless connection between a sounding rocket and a ground station. The system consists of both rocket and ground terminals, each including digital transceivers, which are responsible for a two-way communication within 868 MHz ISM frequency band. Another integral part of the solution is an autonomous tracking system placed on a movable ground platform. The tracking system is used to direct the maximum gain of a communication antenna towards the rocket. The terminal placed on board the rocket is used as a beacon. Real time GNSS location data is transferred to the ground station during the flight. The system was manufactured, optimized and verified during the flight campaign of the Magnitudo sounding rocket.","PeriodicalId":143491,"journal":{"name":"2018 22nd International Microwave and Radar Conference (MIKON)","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124284865","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The paper shows the methods of numerical analysis of this issue with particular emphasis on the influence of the curvature radius of the resonator walls on the starting current and the magnetic field. As a rule, a reduction of the starting current for the selected work mode is expected. Numerical analysis indicates that the use of appropriate equations taking into account the curvature of the walls makes it possible to more accurately predict the starting parameter.","PeriodicalId":143491,"journal":{"name":"2018 22nd International Microwave and Radar Conference (MIKON)","volume":"28 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115348690","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Key feature of this technology is ultra narrow band of signal spectrum. This leads to high influence of low frequency interferences, e.g. flicker noise. This interference has 1/f power spectrum, which allows to use fractal model to describe properties of this random process. The article deals with statistical methods for development of fractal models, e.g. the fractal Brownian motion model with fractional dimension or Hurst exponent. An optimal algorithm for detecting signals on the background of sum of fractal flicker noise and thermal noise is developed and its efficiency is investigated in temporal and spectral field as well. It is proved, that increasing of signal duration leads to spectrum transfer to low frequency area with high intensity of flicker noise spectrum. It leads to decreasing noise resistance.","PeriodicalId":143491,"journal":{"name":"2018 22nd International Microwave and Radar Conference (MIKON)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129137891","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A two-tone test is used to explore the temperature and power dependence of upper and lower PIM resulting from an SMA termination with an applied 900 MHz signal. PIM is shown to have the classic inverse frequency dependence on the frequency separation of the tones. The power dependence has the classic three-to-one slope of a third-order polynomial nonlinearity although the generating mechanism is quite different and results from resistance variation due to heating by the varying envelope of the two-tone beat signal. Temperature is seen to affect the upper and lower sideband PIM differently and both are correlated to the variation of the termination's resistance with respect to temperature.","PeriodicalId":143491,"journal":{"name":"2018 22nd International Microwave and Radar Conference (MIKON)","volume":"108 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116303865","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
