While on-demand gig work being perceived as ways to solve unemployment and contribute towards economic development, there are growing debates over precarity and vulnerability of this line of work as well as the life of the workers. The methodology applied was based on past systemic literature review flow and Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA), which includes identification, screening, eligibility, and inclusion phases. The review comprises all type of research field with relevant criteria of research published in the past five years from the two reliable electronic databases which are Web of Science and Scopus to maintain relevancy and precision. At the end of filtering procedure, fifteen scientific articles were selected and the common themes for on-demand gig workers were identified: the provision job quality from the job provider, and work precarity among gig workers.","PeriodicalId":143359,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Advanced Research in Business and Management Studies","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122366939","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study examines the economic growth of Malaysia from 1960 to 2021 with a total of 62 observations. Exports (EX), imports (IM), and population (POP) are the independent variables used to determine economic growth. As the dependent variable, a proxy for Gross Domestic Product (GDP) growth represents economic growth. Using Eviews 12, descriptive, correlation, and multiple regression analyses were conducted on the data. The main finding indicates that population and imports positively affect Malaysia's economic growth. As a result, exports negatively impacted Malaysia's economic growth. This study is significant because it contributes new knowledge that population, not imports or exports, has had the most significant impact on Malaysia's economic growth over the past 62 years. This study recommends that future research investigate the population, policies and environmental factors that influence economic growth and expand the sample size.","PeriodicalId":143359,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Advanced Research in Business and Management Studies","volume":"63 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121304731","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The change from a pandemic to an endemic phase offers hope for the expansion of the tourism industry. It is widely accepted that consumer intent to return to a destination is a key driver of tourism sector growth and sustainability. This study aims to determine the applicability of Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) in revisit intention. This research determines whether any methodical literature evaluations on revisit intention using the Theory Planned Behavior have been done. The review of the literature will draw on 17 publications and journals that discuss revisiting intention studies. The journal and articles have been nominated from various databases between the year 2015 – 2022. The main objective is to identify the trends (year) and the theme used in revisit intention with the use of the Theory of Planned Behavior. The findings of the research have important implications for the future direction of research on revisit intention utilizing the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) model. These implications have been drawn from the findings of the study. This study can also be of use to most industry participants that desire to examine and change their business plan and reduce the amount of investment they had budgeted. To survive in the tourism industry, they can also aim to explore new markets and businesses. In addition, this report assessed the effects of various policy measures. Since it's such a crucial part of the country's economy, the Malaysian government has had to take extreme efforts to protect and boost the fishing industry.","PeriodicalId":143359,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Advanced Research in Business and Management Studies","volume":"24 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131663675","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In view of the foregoing, the study investigated the extent to which institutional pressures (Regulatory,Association and provider of capital pressures)influence Small and Medium Manufacturing Enterprises (SMMEs) choice of accounting control mechanisms(diagnostic budget, interactive budget and comprehensive reward system). The study obtained quantitative data through self-administered questionnaire from randomly selected 262 managers of small and Medium Manufacturing Enterprises in Lagos State respectively. The obtained quantitative data were subjected to multiple regression analysis (Ordinary Least Squares). The findings of the study revealed that both institutional contingency (association and regulatory) influence the choice of accounting control mechanisms. Specifically, variation in diagnostic budget practice is explained by regulatory pressure(t-value=4.000 P-value< 0.01),Choice of interactive budget practice is also informed to a greater extent by both regulatory pressure and association pressure(t-value=2.896 P< 0.01) and (t-value=3.867, P-value < 0.01) while the choice of comprehensive reward system is driven by both regulatory and association pressure (t-value=3.233, P-value < 0.01) and (t-value=4.360, P< 0.01).Base on these findings, the study concludes that managers of Small and Medium Manufacturing Enterprises may use accounting control techniques as driven by association pressures and regulatory pressures not necessarily by the need to achieve goal congruence. Consequently, organization may unnecessarily incur avoidable cost on the use of accounting control for other purposes that are not goal –congruence.","PeriodicalId":143359,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Advanced Research in Business and Management Studies","volume":"37 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115471128","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Nevertheless, the transfer to work requires specific talent to learn new activities and procedures through adaptation through reading over administrative tasks, as well as to gain technical expertise such as Industry 4.0, which is typically learned by being on the job and takes longer before the talent becomes fully competent to conduct its tasks linked to Industry 4.0 areas. Use eight-dimensional adaptive efficiency as the foundation, this study intends to analysis and to clarify the critical factors in Industry 4.0 job adaptation as well as to create an effective structure that accelerates the cycle of talent adaptation. The integrated models are built predominantly within three decision-supporting tools, which include life-cycle assessment (LCA), life cycle costing (LCC), and multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM). Different integrated models were discussed and their strengths, limitations, and crucial problems as well as their potential integration were evaluated. Apparently, there has been no in-depth analysis of its approaches and potentialities of combining harmonically the LCA, LCC, and MCDM analysis tools in the FW composting management which taking into consideration multiple stakeholders. Thus, the combined LCA, LCC and MCDM with cluster analysis (CA) is suggested. The concepts underlying the sustainable FW composting management model can be divided into several aspects in terms of environmental friendliness, financial profitability, and social acceptance. This gives an insight and facilitates to waste management sectors to decide on a preferable FW composting management.","PeriodicalId":143359,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Advanced Research in Business and Management Studies","volume":"36 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-01-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123792738","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, not many are aware and understand this new technology. Thus, lack of understanding of the Blockchain technology could influence the intention in adopting the technology. Therefore, the objective of this paper is to identify the behaviour intention towards adopting Blockchain Technology in the Malaysian Public Sector. Data were gathered using a questionnaire to analyse the relationship between factors such as Performance Expectancy, Effort Expectancy, Social Influence, Facilitating Conditions and Trust with Behavioural Intention to adopt Blockchain Technology. The data were gathered from 100 officers in various government department. The survey revealed that majority of the government officers are aware about the Blockchain technology. However, most of them have inadequate exposure and knowledge about the technology. Findings from the regression analysis found that Trust, Performance Expectancy and Social Influence positively and significantly influence the behaviour intention of government officers in adopting Blockchain technology. Meanwhile, Effort Expectancy and Facilitating Conditions were found not significant. The findings from this study suggest that it is essential to develop strategies to implement a suitable Blockchain application in the public sector. Prior to such implementation, it is imperative for government officers to be equipped with knowledge, skills and resources related to the Blockchain technology.","PeriodicalId":143359,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Advanced Research in Business and Management Studies","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-11-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126416855","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
