This paper presents a novel fire video recognition method based on both flame and smoke. Firstly, fire regions of interest are detected using Kalman Filter. Then, three major features of flame including flickering, spatio-temporal consistency and texture feature based on Local Binary Pattern (LBP) are extracted from flame-like regions. Three major features of smoke including flutter feature, energy analysis and color feature are extracted from smoke-like regions. Finally, D-S evidence theory fuses two evidences generated by Neural Network to recognize fire images. Experimental results show that the proposed method can significantly reduce missing alarm rate and false alarm rate.","PeriodicalId":143221,"journal":{"name":"The 2014 2nd International Conference on Systems and Informatics (ICSAI 2014)","volume":"22 15","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"113964811","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The maximum distribution of normal vectors of a 3D model is computed to assist the PCA algorithm to normalize the pose of the 3D model, and then the outline views of the 3D model can be coordinated with the freehand sketches submitted by users. To retrieve the 3D models similar with the user sketches, an image similarity assessment algorithm is employed to compare the shape similarity between user sketches and the outline views of 3D models. Experiments demonstrate that users can express the query shape through the proposed query interface rapidly and the retrieval performance is satisfactory.","PeriodicalId":143221,"journal":{"name":"The 2014 2nd International Conference on Systems and Informatics (ICSAI 2014)","volume":"18 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125260555","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, a mesh generation approach is proposed to overcome the problem of meshing local features having regular structure with high quality. Firstly, analyze the feature's geometry information and customize its mesh process. Secondly, introduce parametric design into the optimization of mesh customization. Scaled Jacobian and aspect ratio are taken as indexes of the objective functions. Thirdly, an optimized module of the feature is set up by integrating the meshing scheme into program. By establishing a knowledge base of optimized modules corresponding to geometric features, a local feature can be automatically meshed according to its geometry information. Experiments in this paper reveal that the method is applicable and stable for generating high-quality meshes for local geometric features with regular structure.","PeriodicalId":143221,"journal":{"name":"The 2014 2nd International Conference on Systems and Informatics (ICSAI 2014)","volume":"144 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127922425","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In order to improve the utilization of cloud computing resources and keep load balancing, a cloud computing resource scheduling algorithm based on estimation of distribution algorithm is proposed. In this algorithm, the idea of population based incremental learning(PBIL) algorithm is fully used. In this paper, cloud computing resource scheduling algorithm model is established firstly, and then objective solution is made by using the PBIL algorithm. Finally, the simulation analysis of algorithm performance is conducted. The simulation results show that the PBIL algorithm can take shorter time to complete task and achieve resource load balancing, especially, for the resource scheduling with large-scale task, the advantages are more apparent.","PeriodicalId":143221,"journal":{"name":"The 2014 2nd International Conference on Systems and Informatics (ICSAI 2014)","volume":"72 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131205378","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In view of more types of service and more users, it is much more significant to design the new admission control scheme for LEO satellite networks. The overall utility is taken as the standard, and the utility function is used to construct the game model. When the free channel resource is not enough, the channel and the service have to play a game to decide whether degrade or not, and figure out the degradation resource if the degradation is needed. Simulation results show that, by using this scheme, the overall utility and the resource utilization are greatly improved.","PeriodicalId":143221,"journal":{"name":"The 2014 2nd International Conference on Systems and Informatics (ICSAI 2014)","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133364219","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, we present an effective algorithm, called IPO SAT (In-Parameter-Order-Satisfiability), for pairwise test case generation in presence of constraints. In our strategy, constraints are denoted as forbidden tuples, which are converted to conjunctive normal form. Then, the combination test cases which meet the constraints are found out by calling Boolean satisfiability(SAT) solvers. Besides, an optimization upon the process is given, in order to improve the performance of IPO SAT by reducing the number of times of calling SAT solver and avoiding checking irrelevant constraints. Finally, experimental results show that the proposed IPO SAT algorithm is efficient and the optimization has obvious improvements on reducing time cost.","PeriodicalId":143221,"journal":{"name":"The 2014 2nd International Conference on Systems and Informatics (ICSAI 2014)","volume":"26 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133531377","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

On the other hand, it usually requires the close coordination between two adjustors. So this paper designs an elevator wireless adjustment system, involving Bluetooth technology, WIFI technology, Android phone technology and microcontroller technology. The elevator wireless adjustment system makes the process of adjustment intuitive, reduces the workload of adjustor and speeds up the elevator adjustment cycle. Compared with the traditional elevator adjustment method, this system makes it possible that using an Android phone as an elevator adjustment tool to debug the elevator with WIFI or Bluetooth. Besides compared with other wireless elevator adjustment methods, the wireless module is fixed on the controller for elevator car instead of the elevator controller, this method avoids the limit of wireless distance, and the adjustor just needs to stay in the elevator car when adjusting the parameter of elevator car instead of running up and down, the real-time adjustment result is able to be seen in the Android phone. Test has proved that the feasibility, effectiveness and reliability of the design of an elevator wireless adjustment system.","PeriodicalId":143221,"journal":{"name":"The 2014 2nd International Conference on Systems and Informatics (ICSAI 2014)","volume":"34 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132099926","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
