The new method contains three phases. First, we quantize the color space by Gaussian mixture model. Second, the color-spatial histograms generated for both the query image and the images in the database based on the quantized color components and the improved spatiogram method. Finally, using color-spatial histogram as features, we compare the query image with images in the database by Jensen-Shannon divergence. Our proposed method's availability is demonstrated by the experimental assessment on the COREL image database.","PeriodicalId":143221,"journal":{"name":"The 2014 2nd International Conference on Systems and Informatics (ICSAI 2014)","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116854200","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To solve this problem, a method is put forward, which can make RFID indoor localization algorithms implement in a geographic information system. By overlaying the CAD floor plan with the outdoor maps, every indoor space positioning result has a unique geographic coordinate. To combine RFID indoor positioning technology with the real geographic environment information, the calculating coordinates are visualizing displayed by using the geographic information system. Real-time targets positioning and the visualization display of RFID indoor positioning data are realized through building the RFID indoor positioning system which is based on spatial geographic coordinates. System test results indicate that this technology can achieve ideal indoor positioning data visualization effect under well indoor positioning precision.","PeriodicalId":143221,"journal":{"name":"The 2014 2nd International Conference on Systems and Informatics (ICSAI 2014)","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114375376","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

An inherent problem of the OFDM signal is that it could suffer from nonlinearities of power amplifiers in a communication link. For a nonlinear bandpass channel, the complex envelopes of its input and output are often related by a complex baseband equivalent Volterra series. To characterize the nonlinear channel, identification of the Volterra kernels is required. Many Volterra kernel identification methods found in the literature are applicable to systems with relatively low order nonlinearities. However, they might not be easily extendable to cases with higher-order nonlinearities in a straightforward manner. In this paper, a closed-form solution of the frequency-domain baseband equivalent Volterra kernels for nonlinear channels up to the 5th order is derived. The derivation is achieved by taking advantage of the higher-order auto-moment spectral properties of OFDM signals. The proposed method is computationally efficient and can obtain optimal minimum mean square error (MMSE) estimates of the Volterra kernels. The correctness of the derived formula is justified by computer simulation.","PeriodicalId":143221,"journal":{"name":"The 2014 2nd International Conference on Systems and Informatics (ICSAI 2014)","volume":"152 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121518144","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This is especially true in built environment. We propose a novel image enhancement procedure that conserves the core `signal' in images, while enriching its environment by damping non-essential parts of the signal. Proposed image enhancement method is examined with SIFT, MSER and Harris corner detectors. As a result all detectors, which were originally not able to recover the essential features, improved their performance. Such features were detected also in areas that were not optimally illuminated.","PeriodicalId":143221,"journal":{"name":"The 2014 2nd International Conference on Systems and Informatics (ICSAI 2014)","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122631806","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Due to the varying load demand, the real and reactive power balance is damaged and thus the speed of power turbine becomes deviated from nominal value. It is necessary for an intelligent controller to keep the speed of power turbine within a permissible range during the varying load operation. The design of an adptive fuzzy PID controller fit for this marine gas turbine generation set were achieved. The simulating experiments were performed at different load conditions to test the effectiveness of the proposed method. Simulation results have shown the improved control performance. The proposed method overcomes the drawbacks of the traditional PID controller and improvement was achieved for the aspects of settling time, oscillations and overshoot.","PeriodicalId":143221,"journal":{"name":"The 2014 2nd International Conference on Systems and Informatics (ICSAI 2014)","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129170759","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Thirteen patients with first-episode depression and fourteen age- and gender-matched healthy volunteers were performed DTI. The apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) and fractional anisotropy (FA) of prefrontal lobe deep white matter, the parahippocampal gyrus, the genu, body and splenium of the corpus callosum were recorded. FA and ADC in the deep white matter of frontal lobe, the right parahippocampal gyrus and the genu of the corpus callosum in the depression group were different from those of control group (P<;0.05). There were no significant differences of FA and ADC in the left parahippocampal gyrus and the body and splenium of the corpus callosum between two groups (P>0.05). DTI was valuable in detection of microstructural abnormalities of the white matter in patients with first-episode depression. The microstructural abnormalities in the deep white matter of frontal lobe, the right side of the parahippocampal gyrus and genu of the corpus callosum may be the neurobiological basis of first-episode depression.","PeriodicalId":143221,"journal":{"name":"The 2014 2nd International Conference on Systems and Informatics (ICSAI 2014)","volume":"8 1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125338187","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In addition, data mining and multi agent techniques are known as a very popular approach for dealing with complex datasets. Such a hybrid approach can be considered as an effective approach for the development of intelligent decision support systems in health domain. In this paper we propose an improved data mining and multi agent technique called DMMA, which uses a real time agent mining approach to mine large datasets in a distributed environment. This study found that the processing speed is improved as the result of the multi-agent mining approach, although there can be a corresponding marginal loss of accuracy. This loss of accuracy gap tends to close over time as more data becomes available.","PeriodicalId":143221,"journal":{"name":"The 2014 2nd International Conference on Systems and Informatics (ICSAI 2014)","volume":"57 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121287027","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
