During his life, he created more than 20,000 paintings and sculptures. Through his invention of forms and techniques, his exploration of space, and his experimentation, Picasso was the leader of an artistic revolution that reached not only painters and sculptors, but also authors, composers, and architects. Picasso begins to look at nature in terms of shapes like cones, spheres and cylinders. It was Picasso's literal translation of this advice that led to one of his most influential periods, a period characterized by an exploration of space and form called Cubism. The aim of this study is to analyze Picasso's paintings as an entry point to get in the interior design. Additionally, try to create new design methodology that inspired by Cubism. The current research discusses what is the cubism? What is the relationship between cubism and modern architecture? I focus in my paper at the Cubism's concepts, technical and stylistic aspects. Also, I explain Picasso's career beginnings, African-influenced period and his crystal period. Objectives: 1) Analytical study for the philosophical concept of Picasso's paintings and Cubism, from an architectural viewpoint. 2) Inspired design methodology from Picasso's paintings and Cubism to be used in furniture design and internal spaces.","PeriodicalId":14296,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Sciences: Basic and Applied Research","volume":"15 1","pages":"63-72"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-09-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"78770234","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The actual golden standard of ADHD diagnosis is based on conclusions derived from clinical questionnaires. Nowadays, there is no quantitative measurement performed with any imaging system (MRI, PET, EEG, etc.) that can be considered as a golden standard for this diagnosis. This issue, is highlighted by the existence of international competitions focused on the production of a technological (quantitative) solution capable of complementing ADHD diagnosis (ADHD-200 Global Competition). Wavelet analysis, on the other hand, is a flexible mathematical tool that can be used for information and data processing. Its advantage over other types of mathematical transformations is its ability to decompose a signal into two parameters (frequency and time). Based on the prevalence of ADHD and the extra functionality of wavelet tools, this review will try to answer the following question: How have wavelet analyses been used to complement diagnosis and characterization of ADHD? It will be shown that applications were not casual and limited to time-frequency decomposition, noise removal or down sampling of signals, but were pivotal for construction of learning networks, specific parameterization of signals or calculations of connectivity between brain nodes.","PeriodicalId":14296,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Sciences: Basic and Applied Research","volume":"13 1","pages":"57-62"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-08-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"78326487","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The results show that the phase transitions occurring in AFEs have prominently first and second order properties. Landau theories of first and second order phase transition have been appropriately analyzed in order to explain some of desirable phenomenological behaviors occurring in AFE materials. The spatial order parameter profile of AFE domain wall was derived and tested for possibilities of having ferroelectricity (FE) in accordance with Landau type energy functional. It was found that FE may appear but with additional system instability because of additional energy as a result of polarization gradient.","PeriodicalId":14296,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Sciences: Basic and Applied Research","volume":"41 1","pages":"51-56"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-08-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"81124898","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Effective political leadership is a benchmark for successful corporations as they follow the best strategies from political setup and move towards productivity and efficiency. This paper, therefore, highlights the importance of successful leadership theories and practices, which may follow by the corporate sector for better results. This study explores the influence of political leadership on corporate governance as a corporate sector has to remain under the policy and rule dominancy of the state, hence, this paper elaborates the research questions comprising of 20 items in order to know the influence of political leadership and to analyze the leadership theories and practices in Pakistan. This paper is quantitative in nature, and close ended questionnaire was used to collect the data from 100 samples comprising of government and private-sector employees working in Pakistan. The statistical tool's factor analysis and correlation are used, and according to the results by factor analysis, 5 components were retained or extracted out of 20 variables. All the variables show high level of correlation with components as cumulative correlation measured by Factor Analysis is .825, which is good in practice. As per results derived from KMO and Bartlett’s test, the overall sampling remained .796 that shows a good measurement. In addition to the results, respondents favor that political leadership, and corporate governances are essential ingredients for the organizational development. Majority of respondents were of view that political leadership put strong influence on the affairs of corporate governance. This paper will help the government and corporate sector to work in collaborative way to achieve their respective goals and run the country and organizations on sound economic track. In continuation, this study also helps the political governments to revisit their influence and ensure complete agreement and harmony with corporate sector, and thus help the corporate sector in performing its role in sustainable economic development. The necessity of this study was strongly felt as corporate sector in Pakistan has yet to revise its relations with the sitting political government for effective contribution to gross national production (GDP). The performance of corporate sector in terms of productivity and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is not satisfactory at all in Pakistan, but working collaboratively and delegating powers to down level can really help both political and corporate sector to achieve their pre-specified objectives.","PeriodicalId":14296,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Sciences: Basic and Applied Research","volume":"10 1","pages":"45-50"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-07-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"76039940","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
