Telehealth through the use of artificial intelligence can help increase access to health, especially in remote areas. This study aims to describe the potential and challenges of implementing an artificial intelligence (AI) based Telehealth model in increasing access to health in remote areas. Using descriptive qualitative research methods with thematic data analysis, this research analyzes data obtained from literature studies and previous research related to Telehealth AI. The results reveal that Telehealth AI has the potential to reduce inequalities in access to health, improve health outcomes, and save healthcare systems costs. However, challenges such as adequate regulation, data security, limited technological infrastructure, and digital literacy need to be overcome to maximize benefits. This research provides important insights to support the development of effective and inclusive Telehealth AI in remote areas.","PeriodicalId":14269,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Science, Technology and Society","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136364371","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This was revealed in a survey conducted by Nic Newman in early 2022 to media managers in 52 countries. Even though the presentation is still around 8%, when compared to other formats such as podcasts and digital audio (80%), email newsletters (70%), digital video (63%), voice platform applications (14%), metaverse in the world of journalism deserves attention. Its presence cannot be ignored considering the current condition of society where the majority access information via the internet and social media instead of using conventional media. Coupled with the fact that currently, Indonesia is one of the countries with the most internet and social media users in the world, reaching 212.9 and 167 million users, it is not impossible that this metaverse trend will develop rapidly. For this reason, this study aims to analyze the opportunities and challenges of the metaverse of journalism in Indonesia. The method used in this research is a case study with a qualitative approach. Then data collection was carried out through interviews with informants consisting of the press council, editor-in-chief and journalists. The results of the study show that metaverse journalism does not have the potential to be implemented at this time due to several reasons, namely: there is no universally agreed upon metaverse concept, the technology is still in the development stage, its popularity is being surpassed by AI and currently the audience does not yet exist. Meanwhile, the challenges facing him are the need to increase the capacity of human resources, develop digital infrastructure and formulate standard rules or regulations so that the application of metaverse journalism can have a positive impact.","PeriodicalId":14269,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Science, Technology and Society","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135369614","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, parents' concerns regarding neighbourhood safety often restrict the capability of children to explore their surroundings independently. Our study of various parenting methods for supporting children's everyday use of public space is based on maternal perception of fears and the subsequent impact of those fears on children's limited exposure to spatial mobility. The study employs a qualitative retrospective approach to interview mothers in the Jakarta Metropolitan Area. We selected mothers with an argument that the impact of maternal figures on children's mobility is more significant than that of fathers. The research suggests that mobility experienced by mothers increases their perceived fears resulting in parenting practices that tend to discourage children from independently navigating public spaces. This study demonstrates that a significant reduction in women's ability to have independent mobility throughout their life course may affect their parenting methods in introducing spatial knowledge to children.","PeriodicalId":14269,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Science, Technology and Society","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"81527187","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
