Luminescence spectra of the investigated samples consist of wide non-structural bands of the matrix emission and narrow spectral lines caused by inner f-f electron transitions in the impurity Eu<sup>3+</sup> ions. The both types of emission were studied within 10 - 300 K temperature range. Loboiko","doi":"10.1109/OMEE.2014.6912351","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.1109/OMEE.2014.6912351","url":null,"abstract":"The fine powder of magnetite Fe<sub>3</sub>O<sub>4</sub> was obtained by precipitation of aqueous solutions of chemically pure Mohr's salt Fe(NH<sub>4</sub>)<sub>2</sub>(SO<sub>4</sub>)<sub>2</sub>·6H<sub>2</sub>O and FeCl<sub>3</sub> using concentrated NH<sub>4</sub>OH. The fine powders with the particle size from 5 to 25 nm were obtained. Some portions of powders were subjected to heat treatment in air at temperatures of 473, 573 and 673 K. This annealing leads to the formation of γ-Fe<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub>.
