In 2014, Apple unveiled a completely new programming language for the iOS and OS X platforms. Swift was presented as a modern programming language, such as: safe, easy to learn and easy to use. This article presents the performance comparison between the Swift and Objective-C languages. Magnetic Induction Tomography (MIT) belongs to the noncontact electromagnetic imaging techniques. This paper focuses on determination of a secondary magnetic field map calculated with the help of the Biot-Savart law around the low-conductivity object. The inclusions of various shapes and different electrical conductivities values and two measurement planes are considered. In each case the objects’ single maximal cell volume with assumed uniform eddy current density has been determined. {"title":"Study of control inhomogeneities of the dielectric between metal planes of microwave devices in phased array antennas","authors":"A. Antonenko, M. This article describes the phase shifters, based on micro-electromechanical elements connected to phased array antennas which operating in the frequency range 2–30 GHz. Estimations of controllability characteristics located between the metal dielectric planes, heterogeneity as an element of a micromechanical controlled microwave-devices. It is shown that when microdisplacements metal plane above the dielectric effective permittivity inhomogeneities it may vary from the values of the relative permittivity of the dielectric to one unit. Criteria required is small dielectric thickness or frequency at which the dielectric effect is not observed. It involves the integration of the subsystems of the existing process control system (PCS), which will allow more efficient use of its information, hardware and software. Evaluation of the technical condition of the turbine unit thermal power plant is proposed to determine the use of modern intelligent technologies. The article includes the description of the current development of the Internet of Things (IoT) in Poland with special consideration of the society’s awareness of the IoT. In the recent years, the Internet of Things has been gaining an increasing number of supporters. The interest in this topic of many corporations from the discipline of IT and state-of-the-art technologies is especially important in this scope. The market observation in the recent years has shown that the IoT may become a widespread technology in many homes, which is why it is important to build awareness of the IoT among the Poles. The conducted survey studies were aimed at verifying the current state of the Polish society’s knowledge about the IoT, which is presented in this article. Proposed modification of logarithmic profile relies on introducing topography dependent dispersion parameter calculated based on fractal dimension of topography. Initial results compared against full scale wind measurement show high agreement.
