The base of method is the calculation of the field scattered by non-ideally conducting object in far and near zones of scatterer and the estimation for contribution of dielectric envelope to the field scattered by this object in far zone. The calculation results for object in thin dielectric envelope are given.","PeriodicalId":141554,"journal":{"name":"2008 12th International Conference on Mathematical Methods in Electromagnetic Theory","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-07-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123082437","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The possibility to produce a wave packet of Rydberg states with high values of orbital and magnetic quantum numbers is studied numerically depending on duration and shape of a pulse. The wave packet formation is simulated by direct numerical solution of the Schrodinger equation using a large number of basis states both of discrete and continuous spectrum. The continuous spectrum is approximated by a large finite number of states separated by a small wavenumber interval. The conditions of increasing of angular momentum and its projection in system are considered.","PeriodicalId":141554,"journal":{"name":"2008 12th International Conference on Mathematical Methods in Electromagnetic Theory","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-07-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133115141","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
