Cognitive impairment is a condition that is related to the age of an individual and considered as an originator to lead a serious disease such as dementia Alzheimer’s disease and depression. Objectives: The objectives of the study were to find the occurrence rate of cognitive impairment among the elderly in the selected community area and develop and implement the need-based teaching regarding the care of the elderly to caregivers. Materials and Methods: Quantitative research approach was adopted for the present study. A total of 246 adolescents were selected through total enumerate sampling technique. And after ethical committee permission, data were collected by administering mini mental status examination to the participants. The data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. Results: This study shown that the occurrence rate of cognitive impairment was found (57.3%) moderately cognitively impaired and on screening basis need-based teaching was given to the caregivers of elderly screened as cognitively impaired. There is a significant association between ages of the elderly with the level of cognitive impairment tested at 0.05 level of significance. {"title":"Lavender aromatherapy helpful for management of anxiety in postpartum cesarean section","authors":"D. Continued anxiety can lead to stress, postpartum blues, and even psychosis. Objective: This study aims to determine the effect of lavender aroma therapy on anxiety levels in postpartum CS mothers at Panembahan Senopati Bantul Hospital, Yogyakarta. Materials and Methods: This research is a quantitative study using a quasi-experimental design with a pre-test and post-test approach non-equivalent control group design which was conducted in August 2020–October 2020. The population of this study were all postpartum women with CS who were treated in the Alamanda 3 ward at Panembahan Senopati Hospital, Bantul, with an average of 56 patients per month. The sample in this study was 30 respondents with postpartum CS, taken by consecutive sampling technique. Data collection tools were the Zung Self Rating Anxiety Scale questionnaire and interviews statistical test using Wilcoxon. Results: Most of the postpartum mothers with CS had anxiety in the mild category as many as 19 people (63.3%) and moderate as many as 11 people (36.7%). After giving lavender aromatherapy, the level of mild anxiety was 30 people (100%). There is a difference in the average level of postpartum maternal anxiety CS before and after giving lavender aromatherapy with the mean value before aromatherapy is 41.36 and after aromatherapy is 28.26, with a P-value of 0.000 (P < 0.05). One of the most important actions that need to be taken to stop the pandemic is vaccinations. Managing the COVID-19 pandemic in the long term, unwillingness to receive vaccinations and negative attitudes toward vaccines are major barriers. Objectives: This study aimed to investigate community knowledge, risk perceptions, and attitudes toward COVID-19 vaccinations among high school students in Chonburi, Thailand. Materials and Methods: The study was conducted using a questionnaire. A total of 303 students participated. COVID-19-related knowledge, risk perception, and attitude toward COVID-19 vaccines were assessed. Independent t-test and ANOVA were used to analyze differences between outcomes and sociodemographic. Attitudes toward vaccination were analyzed by a generalized linear model. Results: Students revealed a moderate level of COVID-19-related knowledge, correctly answering 7.09 (SD = 1.56) questions in a total of 10, a moderate level of risk perception of getting COVID-19, average score was 9.7 (SD = 3.03) of 12, and attitude toward vaccine against, the average scores at 3.02 (SD = 1.64), questions in a total of 21. Conclusion: This study revealed a moderate level of knowledge about COVID-19, risk perception, and attitude against COVID-19 vaccination among high school students at Princess Chulabhorn Science School, Chonburi, Thailand. Moreover, it reinforces that there is no relation between those factors and the attitude for accepting COVID-19 vaccines. However, the reasons behind the attitude against the COVID-19 vaccination were efficacy of vaccines. News about the side effects of the vaccines, such as chest pain, muscle pain, dizziness, fatigue, breathing problems, numbness, and facial tics, was widespread among people and brought more attitudes against COVID-19 vaccination. Considering precisely, increasing efficacy of the vaccine will lead to higher vaccine acceptance. Parental feeding practices (restriction, pressure to eat, and monitoring) are behaviors taken by parents to manage a child’s dietary intake. Objectives: Raising awareness on the role of parental feeding practices in childhood obesity to allow for early parental intervention. Materials and Methods: In this cross-sectional study, a sample size of 332 children (6–11 years old) was chosen conveniently form eight health centers in Bahrain in August–September 2018. A translated Arabic version of the Child Feeding Questionnaire (CFQ) was filled by parents. Anthropometric measurements of children were conducted. Descriptive statistics were used to describe mean item scores of the CFQ. Correlation tests determined relationships between parental feeding practices and body mass index (BMI)-for-age Z-scores. Chi-square statistics and independent sample t-tests compared parental perception of child weight and feeding practices. Results: The prevalence of obesity among Bahraini children aged 6–11 years was estimated to be 16.87% and overweight was 14.46%. Obesity was more prevalent among males, while overweight in females. The predominant feeding practice was monitoring followed by restriction. Child BMI was negatively correlated with pressure to eat and positively correlated with restriction in males. No significant correlation was found with monitoring. About 56.0% of parents were found to misperceive their child weight status, 50.9% underestimated the weight status. Conclusion: Childhood obesity has reached alarming levels, which may persist due to the parental misperception of child weight status. It is transmitted from person to person by respiratory droplets and could cause fatigue, shortness of breath, and fever. Background: The objective of the study was to assess COVID-19 related knowledge, attitude, and preventive behavior among high school students in Bangkok, Thailand. Materials and Methods: The study was conducted using a cross sectional online survey among HarrowA's students Y 12A-13. A total of 148 students participated. COVID-19-related knowledge, attitudes toward COVID-19, and preventive behaviors were assessed. Differences between outcomes and socio-demographic were analyzed through independent t-test and the Analysis of variance. Preventive behaviors were analyzed by a generalized linear model. Results: The undergraduate students showed a low knowledge about COVID-19, a mean of 6.38 (standard deviation [SD] = 1.69) questions in a total of 11. However, the result showed a standard level of attitude toward preventive behaviors on COVID-19 with an average score of 47.51 from a score range of 14A-70 (SD = 4.45). Finally, preventive behaviors of participants were at a moderate level with an average score of 36.84 from a range from 12 to 60 (SD = 3.93). The data showed a statistically significant positive correlation between attitude toward preventive behavior on COVID-19 and COVID-19 preventive behavior (r = 0.351**, P = 0.01). From a generalized linear model, attitude toward preventive behavior on COVID-19 (Exp (B) = 0.394, Confidence interval [CI]: 0.212A-.485, P < 0.05) and Gender (Exp (B) = 0.203, 95%, CI: 0.376A-2.807, P < 0.05) can be a predictive factor for the preventive behavior of Harrow International school students. Conclusions: The results assessed that Harrow international students had a lower level of COVID-19 general knowledge, but moderate level of attitude and preventive behavior. Moreover, it indicates that there is a causal relationship between attitude toward COVID-19 and preventive behaviors. Thus, attitudes toward COVID-19 are a major predictive factor of having preventive behaviors.
