This study examines the ethical consequences of utilizing graphic design software, particularly in regard to copyright legislation and responsible design practices. This article analyses how pre-made design components and templates found in software programmes might infringe on copyright and how designers can traverse these legal concerns to preserve ethical design practices. In addition, the essay explores the role that graphic design software may play in either nurturing or impeding original creativity, as well as the ethical issues that come into play when choosing between developing original ideas and employing pre-made design pieces. In conclusion, this section of the essay provides guidelines for designers on how they should approach the usage of graphic design tools in an ethical and responsible manner. This article gives insight into the ethical issues designers must consider while producing new designs and navigating the difficulties of copyright law by examining the ethical consequences of utilizing graphic design tools.","PeriodicalId":14101,"journal":{"name":"International journal of innovative research and development","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135752358","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The goal of the study was to evaluate the role civic education played in sustainable development and the impact it has had in solving leadership problems currently occurring in many nations, regions, towns, organizations, and even religions around the globe. This research clarified the terms civic education, sustainable development, and leadership; it also looked at the connections between civic education and leadership, the effects of civic education on leadership qualities, and the connections between civic education and sustainable development. It became clear that the lack of civic education in schools is the cause of leadership problems at various levels and in different settings. It argued that the only answer to diverse leadership problems in different nations is political education. The various theories of leadership, which contends that meeting a group's needs and wants is the core of management, were used in the study to support our claims. According to this theory, a leader has only performed his duties well when he has contributed to the efficacy and group cohesiveness. Through televised public forums, print media, and television announcements, it is advised that the significance and effect of civic education on sustainable development, leadership, and good governance be consistently conveyed to students, undergraduates, and the public at large.","PeriodicalId":14101,"journal":{"name":"International journal of innovative research and development","volume":"49 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"76103059","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is viewed as a game-changer in how information technology is provided since it allows computer resources like storage, processing capacity, network infrastructure, and applications to be offered as a service via the Internet. In business, it seems to have become strategic, with the potential for use in crucial parts of an organization's IT infrastructure, as it offers a potential alternative to traditional Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. Most Kenyan research institutes' systems experienced certain flaws and recognized incidents of system rigidity, which prevented these institutions from efficiently meeting their mandate, especially when they desired to access services from home via the Internet. The Research design that was utilized in the study was a survey research design. The study employed a systematic review approach that examined the current literature on cloud computing adoption strategy. The systematic literature review revealed that existing research was dominated by issues of the characteristics/peculiarities and IT environments of research institutions in Kenya and if they were amenable to cloud solutions, the current cloud computing technologies, adoption approaches and drivers fostering cloud computing and the adoption strategy that met the requirements for cloud computing for Kenyan research institutions. The present research was reviewed for knowledge gap identification purposes and future research opportunities. The researcher developed an adoption strategy favorable to research Institutions that was flexible to the provision of cloud computing resources, enhanced greater cloud computing efficiency, reduced capital expenditure in hardware and software and increased the performance of the research Institution's operations, provided the efficiency of data and information and supported the effectiveness of the management activities since the cloud strategies discussed did not promote cooperation, agility, scalability and flexibility and saving costs by using calculating resources efficiently and optimally. This study employed a purposive sampling approach that picked a sample size of twenty respondents from the KMFRI and related organizations. The analytical review of specifically identified studies exposed the kind of challenges that existed and gave an indication that cloud computing was applicable for Kenyan Research Institutions because of the organization size, possession of required skills to make use of cloud-based services, Government regulations, industry regulations and internal policies necessitated the move to cloud computing strategy. The cloud service providers have adequate capacity to run the services and are ready with the services they provide. The techniques of handling and processing data, rights of users, sanctions for defaulters, and other regulating clauses are formulated and implemented by these agencies to minimize the exploitation of the masses. Data regulation and management are essential because companies managing users' data are expected to handle data with care, caution, and due diligence. However, WhatsApp (arguably the most powerful instant messaging application in use) has been involved repeatedly in several cases that compromised the security of its users’ data over the years. The platform has become a prime target and medium for predators (con artists, fraudsters) with intentions to access users' data (phone numbers, last seen, live location, and others) for vile purposes. These cases include leaked data that could be used for marketing purposes, phishing, impersonation, and fraud. This paper highlights recent cases of data security (data leakages) and privacy policies involving WhatsApp, examining the various issues that threaten WhatsApp users and make them vulnerable to exploiters, cybercrime, and con artists. It also considers how WhatsApp can protect its users against vulnerabilities. Also, the European Union GDPR was examined in line with WhatsApp's privacy policy to measure compliance with the regulation in light of recent data breaches. \u0000 ","PeriodicalId":14101,"journal":{"name":"International journal of innovative research and development","volume":"56 12 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"83661305","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this study, we synthesized alum crystals from waste aluminum foil and evaluated their potential as an effective adsorbent for water treatment. The synthesis process involved the reaction of crushed aluminum foil with sulfuric acid and sodium hydroxide to form aluminum hydroxide, which was then converted to alum crystals through a precipitation reaction. Chemical tests were conducted to confirm the presence of different ions in alum solution and solid alum crystals. The tests showed the presence of sulfate ions, potassium ions, and aluminum ions. Additionally, the study examined the effect of different dosages (10 to 100 mg/l) of alum on turbidity removal (triplicate) in water, where increasing the alum dosage led to an increase in turbidity removal, but beyond a certain point, the marginal increase in turbidity removal diminished. A dosage of around 40–50 mg/L was established as optimal for achieving a balance between effective turbidity removal and cost-effective use of alum, using a quadratic relationship to model a non-linear relationship between turbidity removal and alum dosage. This study demonstrates the potential of waste aluminum foil as a valuable resource for the synthesis of alum crystals, which can be used as an effective adsorbent for water treatment. Using waste materials for the synthesis of value-added products not only helps reduce environmental pollution but also contributes to the development of sustainable technologies. The results of this study have significant implications for the development of cost-effective and environmentally sustainable solutions for water treatment.","PeriodicalId":14101,"journal":{"name":"International journal of innovative research and development","volume":"216 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"78268816","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this research, a comprehensive comparative analysis of losses in electrical energy in low-voltage devices, including transformers, cables, and switchgear was presented. Experiments to measure the losses under varying operating conditions, such as loads, ambient temperatures, and frequencies were conducted. The data collected from the experiments were then analyzed to identify the major contributors to losses in each device with models for these devices to predict the losses accurately. The models were based on analytical and empirical approaches, considering various factors such as size, insulation type, and operating conditions. The models were validated using the data collected from the experiments, and the results showed good agreement between the predicted and measured losses. The findings show that losses in low-voltage devices depend on various factors and can be significant. Transformers losses due to hysteresis and eddy currents were found to be effective at high loads. In cables, losses were higher at higher frequencies due to skin and proximity effects. In switchgear, losses were dependent on the type of switch used. The models developed in this study can help in identifying the significant contributors to losses and predicting the overall efficiency of an electrical system. The results of this study can be used in the design and optimization of low-voltage devices to improve their efficiency and reduce energy losses which can lead to significant savings in energy costs and improve the overall sustainability of electrical systems.","PeriodicalId":14101,"journal":{"name":"International journal of innovative research and development","volume":"44 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"78609621","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The wastewater from a petroleum industry consist a wide variety of pollutants like petroleum hydrocarbons, mercaptans, oil and grease, benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, xylene, phenol, ammonia, sulphide and other organic compounds etc. All these compounds are present as very complex form in discharged water of petroleum industry, which are harmful to the environment and human health directly or indirectly. Pollution of soil-water interface due to the release of hydrocarbons in environment is a major public health concern, and therefore, remediation of these pollutants is needed to reduce risk to human and environment. Various methods such as physical, chemical, biological, and Advanced oxidation processes (AOPs) methods are used to degrade these pollutants from wastewater. The conventional remediation methods can only change the phase of contaminants without destroying them, thereby leading to another pollution problem. This review paper highlights some current treatment methods of toluene contaminated water, and to introduce a proposed method that sought to develop an oleophilic and hydrophobic composite catalyst (ESA-TiO2-FeS2-Kenaf), that would harvest the toluene content, and simultaneously degrade the harvested toluene content using solar light as the energy source.","PeriodicalId":14101,"journal":{"name":"International journal of innovative research and development","volume":"26 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"83257510","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
