This project aims to search for the QCD phase boundary and its critical endpoint and to study the equation of state of the dense matter at J-PARC. For this purpose, the high-intensity beam and the precision detector with high-speed DAQ are necessary. J-PARC will be upgraded to produce the world’s highest intensity of heavy-ion beam by adding a new compact heavy-ion linac and a booster ring and utilizing the existing RCS and MR synchrotrons. We will construct the multi-purpose spectrometer with a large acceptance to measure hadrons, dileptons and photons, and their correlations and fluctuations. The alpha-nucleus potentials were calculated using the double-folding model with the realistic M3Y nucleon–nucleon interaction. To calculate nuclear half-lives, several semi-empirical formulas were used in addition to the Wentzel–Kramers–Brillouin (WKB) approximation. The calculated AD half-lives agree well with the values computed by the analytical formulas of Royer, the semi-empirical formula of Poenaru et al. and the Viola–Seaborg systematic. To identify the mode of decay of these nuclei, the SF half-lives were calculated using the semi-empirical formula given by Xu et al. The results show that among the isotopes studied, isotopes [Formula: see text] can be survived from the SF and have a half-life greater than [Formula: see text][Formula: see text](s). The study predicts [Formula: see text] chains from isotopes [Formula: see text], [Formula: see text] chains from isotopes [Formula: see text], [Formula: see text] chains from isotopes [Formula: see text] and an AD from [Formula: see text]. These isotopes have a half-life long enough to be synthesized in the laboratory. Also, in the decay chains of these isotopes, it is observed that the nuclei [Formula: see text] have higher half-lives than their neighbors. The alpha decays from Md isotopes have been studied within the framework of Coulomb and proximity potential model using 14 different versions of nuclear potentials. Also, we have studied the half-lives of alpha decay of Md nuclei within the nuclear potentials generalized liquid drop model (GLDM) and also within GLDM with modified different nuclear potentials, namely proximity potential 2010, 1977, 1988, 2000 and 2002. Moreover, the half-lives of the [Formula: see text]-decay and cluster radioactivity calculated using the Universal formula for cluster decay (UNIV) of Poenaru et al., the Universal decay law (UDL) of Qi et al. and the Unified formula of half-lives for both the [Formula: see text]-decay and cluster radioactivity (UFADCR) of Ni et al. and found to be in good agreement. Our results have been compared with experimental data and demonstrate the acceptability of the approach.
