Basically, the elderly is less able to accept online purchases than young people. Therefore, many elderly consumers are still accustomed to buying in physical stores. The spatial visual complexity of the store may have an impact on the elderly consumers’ perception, which in turn affects their shopping emotions and behavior. The primary purpose of this study is to empirically explore how visual complexity affects consumers’ perception and psychology in a retail environment; and to further explore the effects on the experiences of the elderly and young consumers. The findings of this study indicate that the combinations of spatial layout and pattern decoration have different influences on the elderly and young consumers’ perceptions and psychological responses in a clothing store. The elderly consumers believe that the higher visual complexity, the more easily their attention is disturbed, and they do not like shopping in the highest spatial visual complexity. In terms of the impact of visual complexity on pleasant emotions, the elderly consumers have stronger impact than the young consumers. The finding suggests that if retailers want the elderly consumers to concentrate on searching for merchandise, they can simplify spatial layouts and decoration patterns to reduce the visual complexity of the space.","PeriodicalId":13861,"journal":{"name":"International journal of business research","volume":"54 61 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"90688241","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The analysis was quantitative, and 482 participants from a university in Saudi Arabia and the United Kingdom were recruited using a random sampling technique. A survey questionnaire was designed to collect data, which were analyzed using the Statistical Package of Social Sciences version 23.0 (SPSS). Descriptive statistical analysis using means and standard deviations was performed. A multiple regression test was used to check the relationships between the independent and dependent variables. The study found that factors such as skill activation, challenge, persuasion, interactivity, and flow experience significantly impacted consumer behavior while playing advergames. The study concluded that while designing advergames, these factors of flow theory should be kept in mind to make consumers more susceptible to advertising messages.","PeriodicalId":13861,"journal":{"name":"International journal of business research","volume":"16 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"89172406","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Financial/banking markets have become unavoidable in our socioeconomic life. Today they have become the machine of sustainability. Financial and banking institutions are the necessary canals of the impact of actors in entrepreneurial life. The financial and banking markets influence entrepreneurs' decisions and attitudes, including their business models, by setting the requirements for access to financial and banking services. This qualitative study analyses the relationship between banks and companies in the Guinea Republic. The study has adopted a case study methodology to analyze the relationship between banks and companies. The results of our study show that the relationship between Banks and companies in the Guinea Republic deserves more attention from all public and private decision-makers to make both economic sectors efficient. The significance of this research resides, to the best of our knowledge, it is the first to examine the banking-firm connection in the Guinea Republic context. Therefore, it provides essential insight. This study will inform the banks, firms, and State executives about the issues related to this relationship. The authors hope that the findings of this study and the recommendations will enable the heads of banks and companies to improve existing systems to solve the problems between the two businesses (Banks-Companies) in Guinea.","PeriodicalId":13861,"journal":{"name":"International journal of business research","volume":"33 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"90633629","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Nevertheless, the experiences and challenges faced by female pilots in the workplace is worth exploring. Previous studies have mostly approached these issues from the perspective of male and/or female pilots, ignoring the opinions of managers responsible for flight operations. This study fills this research gap by adding flight operations managers' assessments of female pilots to explore the topic from a broader and comprehensive tripartite perspective. In addition, gender issues in the cockpit and the impact of female pilot participation are also discussed. The research is conducted through in-depth interviews covering flight operations managers, male pilots, and female pilots in three different Taiwanese airlines. The findings of this study reveal that the performance of female pilots is generally affirmed by flight operations managers and male pilots, and the participation of female pilots produces some chemical effects on the culture of the cockpit, which also contributes to crew resource management and flight safety. Contrary to previous research findings, the female pilots interviewed in this study do not feel that they are being challenged or abused in relation to their gender. Finally, several recommendations are given to the airlines to implement CRM training programs and recruit female pilots.","PeriodicalId":13861,"journal":{"name":"International journal of business research","volume":"20 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"90472449","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The evolutionary game theory is based on bounded rationality and looks at the adjustment process of group behavior through the perspective of system theory. Therefore, this paper will use the idea of evolutionary game to discuss the issue of SMEs' accounts receivable pledge financing under the supply chain finance model. This paper builds the model on the basis that both sides of the game are bounded rationality. In real life, the behavior of individuals tends to be more bounded rationality. By constructing an evolutionary game model under bounded rationality, we can see that the final evolution result between banks and loan companies is related to many factors. From the phase diagram of the evolutionary game, it can be seen that the area on both sides of the dotted line of the phase diagram is mainly determined by the profit matrix, but the direction of the final evolution is mainly determined by the initial state of the game.","PeriodicalId":13861,"journal":{"name":"International journal of business research","volume":"66 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"89327487","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The researchers discussed several models in order to identify the common factors which determine the reservation wage of the tertiary graduates in Bangladesh. All these models are multiple linear regression models. Data was collected on both employed and unemployed individuals across the country who graduated from different private and public universities. Initially the researchers investigated the following factors: socio-economic status (Parental income), selection of occupation, duration of unemployment, difference between actual and reservation wage, managerial level of job, sources of different media of job applications (both formal and informal) and in the revised phase of the model the researchers discovered that that inclusion of ‘previous working experience’ made a significant difference in the relationship among dependent and independent variables. One noticeable difference in the findings of the current researchers compared to those who worked on the same topic earlier was: positive relationship between duration of unemployment and reservation price of the graduates. The researchers further explored reasons of this above result theoretically. Finally, the researchers accepted the following variables (rejected as null hypothesis) as significant factors (Socio-economic background, difference between actual salary and reservation price, managerial level of job, media of job applications in terms of formal or informal, previous working experience) to influence the graduate reservation wage in Bangladesh (in the alternatives). Additionally, the researchers also explained why’ duration of unemployment’ was not selected as a crucial determinant in the current paper. Finally the researchers prescribed some positive solutions on how firms in Bangladesh could deal with the increasing demand of wage premiums from high skilled graduates and what the possible consequences are if they failed to do so.
