The underlying cause of this problem is the transition from online to offline learning. During the process of online learning, students tend to use gadgets, while during face-to-face learning, they do not. Moreover, students’ interest towards learning tends to decrease, because the modules used by the teachers are still limited and not various. Teachers have not integrated technology into learning activities optimally, which is supposed to be implemented to succeed in the improvement of students' mathematical communication skills in elementary school. Therefore, this research aims to develop and examine the effectiveness of developing a think-pair-share cooperative learning-based e-book module for mathematics subject in improving students’ mathematical communication for the fifth-grade students of SDN Pandeanlamper 05 Semarang. This research used the research and development (R&D) method and adapted the ADDIE model postulated by Branch. The instrument of data collection of this research was validation sheet questionnaires that were given to several expert validators, and the effectiveness tests were conducted in the control class and experimental class. The results of analysis from the media expert, material expert, and learning expert were obtained through the analysis of the quantitative data by using criteria guidelines with the assessment categories to determine the quality of the product that was being developed and to examine its effectiveness by using the independent sample t-test. The validation result taken from the media expert obtained a percentage score of 92% which can be categorized as \"very feasible\", the result taken from the material expert obtained a percentage score of 94,3% which can be categorized as \"very feasible\", and the result taken from learning expert obtained a percentage score of 95% which can be categorized as \"very feasible\", and also the result of t-test showed that the significance value of two-tailed test with t < 0,05 has a meaning that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. Based on the collected data, it can be concluded that a think-pair-share cooperative learning-based e-book module in improving the students' mathematical communication skills of the fifth-grade students of SDN Pandeanlamper 05 Semarang is feasible to be used. This leads to significant delays for all three parties involved: the requesting clinician, the radiologist who vets the investigation, and the patient whose management is affected. Hence radiological investigation requests, which are the main means of communication between the referring clinician and the radiologist, should be appropriately filled in to facilitate the justification process and to optimize patient management. Aims/purpose: To evaluate the adherence of radiological investigation requests of inpatients from medical wards at University Hospitals of Leicester, to RCR guidelines and identify improvement areas, thereby reducing preventable patient delays. Methods: Data from 500 investigation requests of adult inpatients for common modalities of imaging (CT, X-Ray, and MRI) from medical wards at University Hospitals of Leicester were collected across two audit cycles, omitting any patient-identifiable information, and were analyzed for their completeness and adherence to RCR protocols. Results: Based on the analysis, inadequacies of imaging requests were identified, both in completion and adherence to RCR guidelines. In the initial audit cycle, even though more than 90% of the 250 investigation requests analysed contained clinical history, the name of requesting clinician and the question to be answered, only 64% of the investigation requests contained clinical examination or relevant investigation findings. In comparison to more than 94% of MRI and X-Ray requests, only 68.6% of CT requests adhered to RCR and IR(ME)R 2017 guidelines. In order to raise awareness and educate, the audit findings and recommendations were presented in a local medical teaching session within the hospital, and the same was propagated among medical doctors, through an online flyer. During the re-audit, another 250 radiological investigation requests were evaluated, where 73.3% of the requests included relevant clinical examination and/or investigation results and 76% of the CT requests adhered to iRefer guidelines for indication. Conclusion: Radiological investigation requests get rejected if it does not adhere to RCR guidelines for completeness (1) or indication (in compliance with IR(ME)R 2017)(3). This in turn results in delays in patient management. This could be minimized by increasing awareness about the above guidelines and the need for adhering to the same, thereby making sure all the necessary details are filled in and the investigation being requested is appropriate for the clinical indication. Numerous factors play a role in shaping the admission and discharge decisions made in the context of intensive care units. In this research we aimed to evaluate the effect of the time of the intensive care unit admissions, categorized as either \"off hours\" or \"business hours,\" on the subsequent death rates among patients. We performed a retrospective investigation of the mortality rates of 1605 patients in intensive care unit between 2007 and 2010. We included all admissions to the intensive care unit without applying any exclusion criteria. The primary outcome measures in our study were the timing of admission, as well as the rates of discharge and mortality. \"Business hours\" denoted the time frame from 8:00 to 16:59 on weekdays, while \"off hours\" encompassed the period from 17:00 to 07:59 on weekdays and throughout the weekends. Significantly reduced mortality rates were evident among patients admitted on Mondays and Wednesdays in comparison to those admitted on other days (p=0.037 and p=0.045, respectively). Furthermore, the study revealed an elevated risk of mortality for admissions during weekends when compared with those admission on weekdays (p=0.005). The results found that a significant association was present between admission timing and mortality. Patients admitted on weekends and during off-hours exhibit an increased risk of mortality when compared to those admitted on weekdays during business hours. Numerous investigations into groundwater quality have been carried out on a global scale. Groundwater contamination is a widespread issue that adversely affects both ecological services and human health. Surface water contamination is different from groundwater contamination. Because contaminants are invisible and retrieving the resource is challenging with current technology. These contaminants in groundwater resources are usually colorless and odorless, making them difficult to detect. The main aim of this review is to focus on major sources of pollutants from natural and anthropogenic activities. Natural sources of groundwater contamination cause a wide range of problems with water quality problems, such as natural deposits of gypsum, minerals, salts, surface water with poor quality, seawater intrusion, and brackish water. Anthropogenic activities are industrial wastes (mining activities, solid and liquid wastes), agricultural sources (pesticides and fertilizers), urbanization (municipal wastes, land use practices, poor sanitary practice and landfill management), organic and inorganic components. This review revealed that it is necessary to generate and implement policies and regulations related to groundwater protection.
