The method can resolve the contributions of each source, which is critical for the noise source identification in complex electronic systems. Blind source separation (BSS) is implemented in relatively short periods to avoid the influence from the stirring of the reverberation tent. The BSS results can be resolved to the TRP of the individual sources through an averaging cancellation method. The method might be useful in situations when no direct access to the sources is possible or desirable to obtain a signal reference and all measurement probes should be placed in the far-field zone.","PeriodicalId":137753,"journal":{"name":"2019 IEEE International Symposium on Electromagnetic Compatibility, Signal & Power Integrity (EMC+SIPI)","volume":"26 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-07-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125060918","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The EMC Control Plan provides guidance to EMC engineers and avionics hardware designers on methods, procedures, and practices to achieve optimum EMC. The design of an EMC Control Plan for space avionics requires unique challenges due to the nature of the space missions and the space environment. An EMC Control Plan for avionics hardware in space applications can be optimized by the integration of reliability and margin analyses that are uniquely suitable to space applications and avionics hardware. The paper provides a description of the analyses and the rationale for the inclusion of such analyses in the EMC Control Plan, including some examples. The paper concludes by providing a detailed outlined of an EMC Control Plan for avionics hardware in space applications and how this approach fits well with the overall avionics hardware design and development cycle.","PeriodicalId":137753,"journal":{"name":"2019 IEEE International Symposium on Electromagnetic Compatibility, Signal & Power Integrity (EMC+SIPI)","volume":"163 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-07-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122863469","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

One of the typical application of the WPT system is the near-field communication (NFC) system utilized mobile WPT system. However, WPT systems have problems with electromagnetic field (EMF) leakage which can cause electromagnetic interference (EMI) issues on the nearby electrical devices. In this paper, we propose the dual resonance NFC coil for EMF reduction. Proposed dual resonance coil generates resonance not only at the NFC operating frequency of 13.56 MHz but also at the wireless charging frequency 130 kHz. When comparing the proposed NFC coil with a typical NFC antenna, the total EMF level of the WPT system is reduced by 3.96 dB at 130 kHz without any effect at the NFC operating frequency of 13.56 MHz.","PeriodicalId":137753,"journal":{"name":"2019 IEEE International Symposium on Electromagnetic Compatibility, Signal & Power Integrity (EMC+SIPI)","volume":"68 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-07-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133568878","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The filter consists of a twin circuit that is made up of low voltage/current components that mimic the high power components in the main circuit. The twin circuit uses a constant impedance to represent the mains impedance. Compensation networks to improve stability could be added to the low voltage circuitry thus avoiding any additional high voltage components. The modeling of the entire circuit is carried out and the design example is presented. The experimental results show 22 dB attenuation around 150 kHz using the proposed filter.","PeriodicalId":137753,"journal":{"name":"2019 IEEE International Symposium on Electromagnetic Compatibility, Signal & Power Integrity (EMC+SIPI)","volume":"297 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-07-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123922126","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

They are very difficult to model but could be key contributors to the radiated spurious emission (RSE) and radio frequency interference (RFI). In this paper, a novel data-driven characterization method is proposed to analyze the transient responses of the nonlinear circuits and their nonlinear electromagnetic radiations. It employs the dynamic mode decomposition (DMD) to simultaneously extract the temporal patterns and their corresponding dynamic modes. The temporal patterns show high order harmonics generated by the nonlinearity. Then these temporal spatial coherent patterns could provide physical insight of the radiation and fast predictions of future states in nonlinear circuit and electromagnetic systems. Nonlinear benchmarks are provided to demonstrate the validity of the proposed new analysis method. According to our best knowledge, this is the first time RSE and RFI are characterized by DMD, a data-driven method purely based on measured or simulated data.","PeriodicalId":137753,"journal":{"name":"2019 IEEE International Symposium on Electromagnetic Compatibility, Signal & Power Integrity (EMC+SIPI)","volume":"141 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-07-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132296874","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Such standard plays a critical role in the Internet of Things (IoT), 5G mobile devices, as well as autopilot automobiles. MIPI specification has comprehensive requirements on the data storage, data transfer, display, camera, memory, power, etc on the transmitter and receiver. In the testing phase, the transmitter and receiver may not be easily directly measured. Herein, a fast transmitter and receiver eye diagrams calculation methodology is necessary to predict the RX and TX performances of those devices. The calculated RX and TX eye diagrams are evaluated by using the D-PHY protocol to identify the quality of the signals. An in-house MIPI tool is built to directly display the calculated eye diagrams as well as the MIPI D-PHY report in the PC. The validations are performed by using both simulation and measurement examples.","PeriodicalId":137753,"journal":{"name":"2019 IEEE International Symposium on Electromagnetic Compatibility, Signal & Power Integrity (EMC+SIPI)","volume":"35 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-07-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122346386","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, a hybrid method for physical dipole extraction based on genetic algorithm and linear least square method is proposed. It offers an automatic flow to extract the equivalent dipoles without prior decision of the type, position, orientation and number of dipoles. Compared with conventional linear least square method, this algorithm can extract physical dipoles which are close to original radiating source and minimize the number of dipoles. Compared with conventional genetic algorithm based method, this method reduces the optimization time and is more robust. This method is validated by both simulation and measurement data, and its advantages are proved. It is applied to modeling of the radiation from a clock buffer chip. The extracted equivalent dipoles are used to estimate the near field coupling from the clock buffer chip to a victim inverted F antenna (IFA) in a practical printed circuit board (PCB) by full wave simulation. The estimation matches well with measurement.","PeriodicalId":137753,"journal":{"name":"2019 IEEE International Symposium on Electromagnetic Compatibility, Signal & Power Integrity (EMC+SIPI)","volume":"19 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-07-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126061853","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
