Consequently, within the domain of language acquisition, listening is recognised as a vital component alongside reading, writing, and speaking. Unlike other language skills, the primary objective of listening is to comprehend speech and extract its meaning rather than focusing solely on the language form itself (Sevik, 2012). This study investigates how learners perceive the utilisation of their learning strategies. In presenting the framework, the study also examines listening techniques proposed by Tuyen et al (2020), categorised into three groups: active, responsive, and attentive listening. A quantitative survey of 192 students from a Malaysian public university was carried out. The results demonstrate that students used all three categories of listening strategies in their language learning. The techniques include sustaining fluency, grasping the primary idea, negotiating meaning, scanning, nonverbal, less-active listening, and word-oriented techniques. The findings of this study can raise awareness among students about their listening strategies in language learning, offering valuable insights for educators, learners, and the broader language learning environment. It is suggested that foreign language instructors must teach students listening strategies, particularly focusing on those at lower proficiency levels. Most researchers seem to agree that motivation is responsible for determining human behaviour by energising it and giving it direction. The objective of this quantitative study is to explore the influence of value component s on learner’s motivation in learning French as a Foreign Language. The data collected from 124 undergraduates at public university in Malaysia. The finding is rooted from Fowler (2018) and this study used a 5-point Likert Scale instrument consisting of 4 sections. Section A has items on demographic profile. Section B has 12 items on expectancy. Section C has 14 items on value and section D has 12 items on social support. A strong positive correlation was found between all the variables to motivate learners in learning a foreign language. As climate change increases the frequency and severity of natural disasters worldwide, it poses significant challenges to communities. Rapid urbanization and population shifts have heightened vulnerabilities, placing more people at risk. Thirteen experts in disaster management and relief, all aged 30 years, were interviewed across five regions in Malaysia (Pahang, Johor, Selangor, Kelantan, and Terengganu). The interviews were thoroughly documented through written notes, video recordings, and audio files, ensuring a comprehensive record. The transcripts were analyzed using Atlas.ti software to identify recurring themes. The study reveals four key challenges that hinder effective DROs in Malaysia: manpower shortages, insufficient equipment, a lack of coordination, and communication barriers. Additionally, DROs grapple with recurring issues such as a lack of public awareness about disasters, the presence of the Pelancong disaster, and the exacerbation of adverse weather conditions. To address current gaps, future research should evolve a comprehensive framework for DROs, evaluate training program effectiveness for disaster relief personnel, enhance inter-agency collaboration with clear communication protocols, and leverage innovative technologies like blockchain, drones, and artificial intelligence to streamline operations and improve efficiency. This study underscores the critical need to address DROs' challenges in improving their relief efficiency. Malaysia must heed these findings and implement the recommendations to become more resilient in the face of disaster threats, safeguard its citizens, and secure a better tomorrow for all. But for those who have basic of Arabic, the situation is different. This is due to the fact that speaking Arabic demands knowledge and particular abilities. This study is significant with the aim of identifying the level of Arabic language communication attitude and the level of readiness to communicate in Arabic among the students of Kolej Universiti Islam Perlis. This is a quantitative study conducted on 150 students at Kolej Universiti Islam Perlis, using questionnaire to obtain data related to the level of readiness to communicate and attitude to communicate. Correlation analysis is used to determine the relationship between two variables. The findings indicates that students' readiness to communicate on average is at a moderate level (M = 3.5703). On average, the students' communication attitude level is high (M = 3.9248). Correlation analysis shows that there is a significant positive relationship between the attitude to communicate in Arabic and the readiness to communicate in Arabic which is supported by the correlation coefficient (r = 0.787, p < 0.01). Consequently, one of the key elements that can significantly influence the level of readiness to communicate in Arabic among students is their attitude, which can help to raise the degree of readiness to do so. The higher the students' attitude, the higher their level of readiness to communicate in Arabic.
