Using a qualitative approach in Klang Valley, Malaysia, the researchers engaged five LKM-certified counselors through convenience sampling. Interpretative phenomenological analysis identified three main themes: (a) positive experiences, (b) encountered challenges, and (c)preferred methods. The findings revealed online counseling's flexibility compared to traditional methods but highlighted limited resources as a drawback. Therapists must adapt their skills for effective online sessions, differing from face-to-face interactions. The study's findings suggested that therapists must alter their skills and approaches in online counselling that differ from those employed in the usual face-to-face counselling process to strengthen their therapeutic sessions. The study suggests further research to focus on counselors' experiences in online therapy, including language use and ethical considerations. Future studies could also include client perspectives to enrich understanding in online counselling.","PeriodicalId":13768,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Academic Research in Business and Social Sciences","volume":"21 12","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-07-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141653504","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Using the conceptual framework of the Knowledge Graphs, complex relationships between the entities in the tourism domain can be better captured and used to improve the recommended actions’ accuracy and relevance. In this way, Knowledge Graphs facilitate semantic understanding and real-time data integration to adapt TRS to the specific users’ preferences and contextual characteristics. The paper aims at presenting different use cases of Knowledge Graphs in the context of TRS and the primary benefit they offer is the integration of different data sources to enhance the analysis process that helps travellers. Some major conclusions emphasize the role of Knowledge Graphs for extending TRS architecture, as well as analysing tendencies and further innovations to plans for recommendation in tourism. Finally, this research is valuable in the development of the theoretical foundation of TRS by assimilating recent IT advances to improve the level of satisfaction and quality of the travel experience.","PeriodicalId":13768,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Academic Research in Business and Social Sciences","volume":"49 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-07-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141655400","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Utilizing the Full Range Leadership Model (FRLM), the research focuses on three key leadership styles: transactional, transformational, and laissez-faire. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire distributed to 380 employees, selected based on Krejcie and Morgan's sampling criteria, ensuring a representative sample from Maybank's workforce. The study employs quantitative methods, including Pearson’s correlation and multiple regression analysis, to examine the relationship between leadership styles and employee performance. The findings reveal that both transformational and transactional leadership styles significantly enhance employee performance, while laissez-faire leadership shows a less pronounced, yet still positive, effect. These insights underscore the necessity for adaptive leadership approaches tailored to specific organizational contexts to foster a productive and motivated workforce. This research contributes to the existing body of knowledge by highlighting the pivotal role of effective leadership in driving organizational success in the competitive banking sector.","PeriodicalId":13768,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Academic Research in Business and Social Sciences","volume":"124 27","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-07-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141656980","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The analysis has been done by identifying its causes and the factors that lead to its occurrence and suggesting appropriate ways and strategies to overcome these errors. The researchers relied on the descriptive approach in this study. The analysis has been done using the test tool for the research sample and the interviews that have been conducted with Arabic language teachers and specialists in applied linguistics. After analysing the data collected by the researchers from the calendar tool, we found the reasons why students of the Arabic language at Sule Lamido University, Jigawa State make spelling errors. They are of two types: linguistic and non-linguistic reasons. The linguistic reasons are linguistic interference, incomplete application of the rules, false assumptions, overgeneralization, etc. As for the non-linguistic reasons, they are: students’ strategies, lack of curriculum, and failure to use appropriate modern teaching methods. Following the interview, appropriate methods for overcoming these errors were proposed, including: hiring and training qualified teachers; using cooperative learning and the selective method instead of the standard method; reconsidering the curriculum; and intensifying the exercises where students made mistakes.","PeriodicalId":13768,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Academic Research in Business and Social Sciences","volume":"38 2","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-07-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141660468","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study focuses on the knowledge, concern, and readiness of hospitality students at Sungai Petani Community College towards the use of eco-friendly packaging. Utilizing a quantitative research methodology, data were collected through a structured questionnaire administered to 174 students enrolled in culinary and hotel operations programs. The results reveal that the respondents possess high levels of knowledge and concern regarding eco-friendly packaging, acknowledging its environmental benefits. However, apprehensions about potential cost increases or additional taxes associated with such packaging were also noted. Despite these concerns, a significant proportion of students expressed their willingness to adopt eco-friendly packaging in their daily routines. Furthermore, the study identified a significant positive correlation between knowledge and readiness, as well as between concern and readiness, suggesting that increased awareness and concern can drive readiness to use eco-friendly packaging. These findings underscore the critical need for educational initiatives aimed at enhancing students' understanding of sustainable practices while also addressing perceived barriers to their acceptance. The study provides valuable insights for educators and policymakers, highlighting the necessity of integrating sustainability education into hospitality training programs to foster sustainable behavior and practices in the industry. Future research should explore the long-term impact of such educational interventions and investigate strategies to overcome economic barriers to the adoption of eco-friendly packaging.","PeriodicalId":13768,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Academic Research in Business and Social Sciences","volume":"25 25","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-07-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141660675","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
