They originate from intermediate trophoblastic cells of the placenta. They are slow-growing tumors and less chemo sensitive. Per vaginal bleeding following a miscarriage is not uncommon, however malignant variants of gestational trophoblastic neoplasia also could be a possibility. We are reporting a 24-year-old who was an otherwise healthy female who presented with persistent per vaginal bleeding following the first-trimester miscarriage in her second pregnancy. Initial histology of suction evacuation for her miscarriage has shown a partial mole. Since she continues to have per vaginal bleeding even a month later, repeat evacuation was done and beta hCG was high (2132mIU/ml), she was treated with a methotrexate regime. During follow up there was a slow rising of beta hCG level and hysterectomy was carried out due to the suspicions of invasive mole or PSTT. Histology confirmed a placental site trophoblastic tumor and her recovery and follow-up were uneventful.","PeriodicalId":13694,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Medical Reviews and Case Reports","volume":"44 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"83054876","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The objective here is to apprehend the mechanism by which the feeling of vulnerability in the victim of a serious traffic accident, entered in a situation of disability, affects his or her link to the other. Following a qualitative approach, focused on the case study, the data were collected through semi-directive interviews with three victims of the 2016 Seka train accident. For this purpose, thematic content analysis was favoured. According to the results, the link to the other of the psych traumatized person (PP) is declined according to the instinctual unbinding, the attempt of the ego to restore the balance within the psychic spaces in humans. Also, they show that after a serious traffic accident, the organizers of the link are re-focused and can preserve their initial character just as they can be tainted by a feeling of pity. In this case, they plunge the victim into a fusional and/or conflictual relationship, generating a feeling of uselessness, a functional discomfort and a decrease or even a loss of self-esteem.","PeriodicalId":13694,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Medical Reviews and Case Reports","volume":"11 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"85069365","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The structure and function of these organs may play a role. The frequency of polycystic kidney is variable. It is reported as 50 or less in 100000 (5 in 10000), 1 in 400 and 1 in 1000 life birth. Prevalence of autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease (ADPKD) is thought to be overestimated by 2 to 5 folds. Multiple polycystic organs are not common, and reviewing the literature revealed some case reports, which indicates that such cases do not have regular pattern. Inherited polycystic kidney disease has two varieties; autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease (ADPKD) and autosomal recessive polycystic kidney disease (ARPKD).","PeriodicalId":13694,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Medical Reviews and Case Reports","volume":"22 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"90539317","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Patients may experience social and psychological discomfort as a result of the loss of their anterior teeth. The contemporary dental situation provides numerous treatment options for the aesthetic and functional replacement of a congenitally or traumatically lost anterior tooth in young and adult patients, including implant crown, conventional FDP, Resin Bonded FDP, or RPD. The most important aspect of an aesthetic anterior restoration is patient satisfaction with the cosmetic and functional outcome of therapy. This case report discusses the aesthetic correction of missing maxillary and mandibular anterior teeth using intra-oral scanning and DMLS PFM crowns.","PeriodicalId":13694,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Medical Reviews and Case Reports","volume":"50 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"90331180","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It can occur in different locations; however, transverse colon and splenic flexure are rarely involved. We hereby present a 62-year-old man with a rare condition of herniation of transverse colon and splenic flexure within the chest cavity. Case presentation: A 62-year-old man was admitted to our center, a teaching hospital in Iran, complaining about three-day abdominal pain, anorexia, constipation, and abdominal distention. He was intellectually disabled and had a previous history of chronic constipation. The imaging studies showed the bowel loops herniated into the thoracic cavity. A laparotomy procedure was performed. The twisted transverse colon and splenic flexure were present in the left hemithorax. Total colectomy and ileostomy were performed and the diaphragmatic defect was repaired. Conclusion: This work aimed to raise attention to the rare condition of concurrent diaphragmatic hernia and colonic volvulus. The diaphragmatic hernia can be a life-threatening condition per se. If it is accompanied by intestinal volvulus in rare cases, it creates a pressing condition. More studies are required to explain the etiology of this potentially fatal condition.","PeriodicalId":13694,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Medical Reviews and Case Reports","volume":"383 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"80719350","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Methods: 109 patients with diagnosed psoriasis and psoriatic arthropathy, took part in the survey. The average age of patients was 48,85±10,11. We analyzed the incidence and prevalence of the psoriatic arthropathy occurrence for the patients with psoriasis. Results: Psoriatic arthropathy registered with patients were those with arthritic changes on: sacroiliac joints with 24 (22,02%) patients, 19 (79,17%) male and 5 (20,83%) female (p<0,001); spine with 11 (10,09%) patients, 6 (54,56%) male and 5 (45,45%) female (p=0,578); peripheral joints with 74 (67,89%) patients, 33 (44,59%) male and 41 (55,41%) female (p<0,01). When comparing the symptoms, most of the patients (63,30%) skin changes were represented before arthritis, for 27,52% patients arthritis preceded the skin changes, and for 9,17% patients the changes were simultaneous, Conclusion: Psoriatic arthropathy occurs more often in median age (31 to 50 years old) and it is more common for men than women. For most patient’s psoriatic skin changes preceded joints affection, with the most common ones being polyarthritis.","PeriodicalId":13694,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Medical Reviews and Case Reports","volume":"29 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"87187220","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
