The population in this study were fourth grade students of Sukaratu 4 Elementary School, Majasari District, Pandeglang Regency in the Academic Year of 2019/2020. The reseracher used simple random sampling. The data collection used tests of mathematical communication skills, observation, and documentation. The results showed that (1) the classical completeness test of students' mathematical communication skills reached a minimum limit of 68, (2) mathematical communication skills of Neo Snake and Ladder Game media had reached classical completeness of 75% and (3) the increase in average of mathematical communication skills using media Neo Snake and Ladder Games were better than the average mathematical communication skills of students without using Neo Snake and Ladder Games media. They need to explore the use of media to help students experiencing a meaningful and practical concept. This study tried to explore the potential of Dakon traditional game as media to encourage students’ motivation and concept understanding. Dakon is proposed as a media to help students understand the material conceptually by fun learning. Dakon Matematika (Dakota) is presented as one of the media that allows students in understanding Least Common Multiple (KPK) and Greatest Common Divisor (FPB) concept in elementary school. Dakon Matematika (Dakota) potentially can foster student learning motivation because besides studying mathematics it also introduces students to one of the Indonesian traditional games that are almost abandoned. This result of study promoted the Dakon and other traditional games to in mathematic learning. Some research on the use of Dakon in mathematics learning also showed the potential use of Dakon Matematikagames in learning mathematics, especially in the KPK and FPB material at elementary school level. It is necessary to find the appropoate method to develope their gross motoric skills. Gross motoric skill development is very important for early childhood because it can affect their future. One of various ways to develop their motoric skills is through fantasy gymnastic method. This study aims to improve the gross motor skills of children aged 4-5 years through fantasy gymnastic methods. The method used is a classroom action research method. The subjects of this study were nine children aged 4-5 years of Muharram group consisting of five boys and four girls in early childhood education of Bina Bangsa Islamic School of Serang. The data collection techniques are conducted through interviews and observations using designed form of interview and observation sheets. The data analysis techniques used interactive model by Miles and Huberman. The percentage result obtained from the pre cycle was 34,70% (bad), then increased in cycle I to be 62,80% (good) and then in cycle II to be 87,50% (very good). It can be concluded that the fantasy gymnastic method can improve gross motor skills of children aged 4-5 years of early childhood education of Bina Bangsa Islamic School of Serang. The result propose the use of gymnastic and other method to be used in the other aspects of motoric development. This research used a qualitative approach with case studies type. The research subjects included the school principal, teacher, trainer and 8 children aged 5-6 years. Data collection techniques used were in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation with interactive models of data analysis. The results revealed that the strategy used was a demonstration strategy when the teacher taught children directly the steps to memorize lyrics and direct teaching guided by the teacher in memorizing songs and tones. The trainer role was limited to the training process outside the classroom. Some challenging factors that arised are the teachers’ lack of preparation and the dependence of the trainer's schedule and the lack of learning media facilities to support singing activities. It causes an unconducive learning atmosphere and lack of song lyrics memorization. The supporting factors found included high children enthusiasm in participating in singing activities, the teachers’ activeness in directing children, and that involving music activities and a conducive space to practice singing activities. Teaching material that integrated with values and cultures is really needed since considering the conservative role of the curriculum as a means of relevant values and culture and the evaluative role that supports the choice of values and culture that will be inherited. Local wisdoms have been chosen as an inheritage culture for generations. One of them is the Baduy community in Banten. Baduy is one of unique tribe living in harmony with nature and avoiding the life of the modern world. This research tried to explore how to integrate the local wisdom of the Baduy community into a thematic teaching material. Researchers used qualitative research with ethnographic design with case study method. The data were collected by the triangulation technique and were analyzed using the Spradley model. The result described that the values of the local wisdom of the Baduy community in the form of preserving nature, humility, and mutual cooperation can be integrated into teaching material with through product model.
