The cement industry is facing problems in terms of utilising the benefit from marketing analytics reservoirs, at the organisational level, by taking initiatives, depicting issues and remedial steps, and projecting the future possibilities. The objective of this research was to fill this gap. For this purpose, a series of interview sessions from various levels of management at the cement company head office was conducted, followed by transcription, codification, funnelling and triangulation. The results depicted that 'initiatives & benefits' stage is most significant. The collective learning is about cross-functionality of the marketing department for competency designs (marketing and logistics), teaming with IT, training for insight reports understanding, the inclination to data-driven decisions, a steady but comparatively slow shift to analytics in overall marketing operations.","PeriodicalId":136725,"journal":{"name":"Global Management Sciences Review","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-12-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133723106","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Risk factors can influence software projects of any size and type. This research aims to identify and examine different risk factors associated with projects in the software industry. The relationship between Software Project Risks (SPRs) and Perceived Project Performance (PPP) measures is determined. This study is based on a survey approach, and a questionnaire is used to record opinions and responses from 199 software professionals working in the Pakistan software industry. The results showed that the association between SPRs and PPP measures is statistically significant, and there exist a positive relationship. It is concluded that an increase in understanding of SPRs can increase PPP measures used to evaluate the software project. The results will help researchers and professionals in understanding the impact of different risk factors on software projects' perceived performance.","PeriodicalId":136725,"journal":{"name":"Global Management Sciences Review","volume":"27 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-12-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125939134","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The policy guide lines from analysis include promotion of policies to increase Investment and Trade-openness in short and long-terms. The study used ARDL bound-testing for long-term and Un-Restricted-Error Correction techniques to discover short-term interrelation amongst a selection of variables. Results of study revealed inflation negatively related to economic performance and positively linked to Investment and Trade-Openness. Findings of enquiry suggested government should focus more on investment friendly policies in the country.","PeriodicalId":136725,"journal":{"name":"Global Management Sciences Review","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-12-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128649723","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Using data from 2007 to 2017of non-financial firms listed on PSX. The univariate approach is used to construct the dependent portfolios based on four firms characteristics, while a 2x3 approach is used to construct size, value, profitability, and investment factors. Time series regression is used to analyze the data to obtained results. The empirical evidence demonstrates that FF5FM performs better the three-factor model in the Pakistan stock market and the performance of the four-factor model that drops investment factor is similar to FF5FM except for portfolios constructed based on investment factor.","PeriodicalId":136725,"journal":{"name":"Global Management Sciences Review","volume":"44 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-09-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134117029","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This research was carried out to examine women's online breast cancer-related information-seeking behavior. The comprehensive model of information seeking (CMIS) was tested in Pakistan in order to examine the information-seeking behavior of women. Another significant factor of social stigma was added as an independent variable into the existing model. Researchers hypothesized that the utility of information channels plays a role of mediator in the association amongst the factors, i.e. demographics, social stigma, direct experience, salience, beliefs, and characteristics in the information-seeking behavior about breast cancer. The survey questionnaire was distributed among Six hundred women from Islamabad by using the convenient sampling technique. Researchers collected the data by already developed scales. Statistical test of Multiple Linear Regression was employed by the researchers. Therefore, the study carried out significant findings.","PeriodicalId":136725,"journal":{"name":"Global Management Sciences Review","volume":"28 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-09-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124296209","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For this purpose, monthly returns of 37 companies (randomly 20 samples selected from KSE and non KSE-100 each) listed on the Karachi Stock Exchange were calculated for a period covering six years from January 2008 up till December 2013. The excess return (portfolio return minus risk-free rate) on these 37 companies is sorted in six size and value portfolios. KSE 100 Index was used as a proxy for benchmark Index, and six months T-bills’ yield was used as a proxy for the risk-free rate. Regression results strongly evidenced size and value premium as factors explaining the variations in expected returns for the multi factor model. The variation explained by these factors found more in non KSE-100 than KSE.
