Dc drive is working as a highly non-linear load for the power supply. So it will disturb the supply system and adversely affect the major parameters like system efficiency, THD (Total Harmonic Distortion), decrement in power factor, create an imbalance in active- reactive power etc. As a reduction in power factor increases reactive power which does not have any contribution in energy transfer so its compensation is needed. So In this paper, an attempt is made to upgrade power quality by introducing a shunt active power filter(SAPF) using P-Q theory Here simulation circuit along with its parameters are well manifested and also shown the impact on a power supply with or without the active filter. Commencing the paper with the better understanding of DC drive followed by the topology of PQ theory, simulation circuits, results, comparison and finally ended with a conclusion. This cross-breed system includes the photovoltaic array and an upcoming proton exchange membrane fuel cell(PEMFC). PV array contributes an excellent and continuous power source at the maximum levels even at the different irradiation and temperature conditions. In order to enhance the power abstraction in a controlled manner an intelligent algorithm named as P&O set of rules is introduced, which is commonly stated as maximum power point tracking approach. The combined function of PEMFC makes the crossbreed system under control at peak output power conditions. The exclusive approaches i.e unit power approach and feeder-flow approaches are being penetrated into the crossbreed system. In turn, determines the reference parameters effectively. The conversion of DC output is taken over by the DC-DC buck-boost converter and implemented through the MATLAB / SIMULINK tool to enable accuracy and excellent tracking performance at various climatic conditions. Harnessing solar energy is simple and easy operation with the installation of PV modules in various configurations (open rack, roof mount, tracking, building integrated, building applied, floating). Among these configurations, BIPV is the most trending and ecologically efficient installation methods. This paper presents a study on the building integrated photovoltaic systems with the electric power system classification. This classification includes on-grid, off-grid, and hybrid BIPV power plants. The studied three classifications were compared in terms of the operation, components, installation configuration etc. General recommendations and various policy options for BIPV are also discussed. The proposed series cascade control structure (SCCS) for process models with small dead time has three controllers: primary controller, secondary controller and stabilizing controller. Secondary controller is designed using internal model control approach whereas the primary controller is designed as a proportional-integral (PI) controller using the method of moments. The stabilizing controller is designed as a proportional-derivative (PD) in series with lead-lag filter using direct synthesis approach. For unstable process models with large time delay, a Smith predictor is included in the outer loop in addition to the above controllers. Furthermore, a first order lag filter is also included to enhance the robustness of the proposed Smith predictor based SCCS. Necessary guidelines are provided for the user to select suitable values of closed-loop time constants. This paper is mainly concentrated to improve power factor, mitigate power quality problem and thereby reduction in THD to least minimum value can be obtained by using DSTATCOM. In DSTATCOM, shunt APF is designed to compensate the load current with supply voltage of 380V. The new topology is compared to the different techniques present and this model is controlled by Pulse Width Modulation. The performance of this 11 level multi inverter topology is higher in the power applications where it is simulated in the MATLAB. A novel cascade feedback linearization (CFL) technique based on non-linear differential geometry is developed for design of RSC, which leads to decoupled currents. Here, the rotor DC link voltage can be regulated with respect to a square transform on its voltage reference and the d-axis current that satisfies conditions for zero dynamics. The controlled RSC has a capability to track DC link voltage reference faster and also attain global stability. The GSC controller has been designed by incorporating a new incremental hysteresis comparator (IHC) that utilizes the hysteresis band to produce the suitable switching signal to the GSC to get enhanced controllability during grid unbalance. The IHC produces higher duty-ratio linearity and larger fundamental GSC currents with lesser harmonics. The latter can thus achieve fast transient response for GSC. Due to the constrained availability of power sources, energy utilization has been considered as the most crucial factor for proposing network routing protocols. The fundamental concern is to improve the lifetime of the network based on the energy constraints. But, in areas like geophysical and environmental monitoring, localization of nodes is also critical for proper data processing. Several homogenous cluster based routing protocols have been proposed in literature for lifetime improvement of the sensor network but many of them fail to function effectively in heterogeneous environment and moreover, these protocols have not considered a proper localization technique for evaluating the location estimates of nodes in the network. In this paper, a Horizontal Multi-Level Heterogeneous Routing (HMHR) protocol that mainly focuses on lifetime improvement of nodes, and also incorporates a TDOA localization technique, for accurate estimation of node locations, is proposed. Performance parameters of the proposed scheme are compared with other three already existing prominent protocols named LEACH, SEP and Z-SEP and a significant improvement in lifetime of the network is obtained. In the proposed method HESS is employed with PV ramp rate control, battery is used for the application of supplying the continuous power and supercapacitor is used to respond for instant power fluctuations during transient period. In addition, since the supercapacitor unit supplies or absorbs the transient power, it allows DC link voltage to settle fast and hence achieves a fast DC link voltage regulation. Therefore, stable DC bus voltage is achieved by means of this proposed strategy. The ramp rate control will improve the reliability of the system by reducing the fluctuations in the PV power.
