In this paper, we propose a cooperative RSS-based positioning algorithm that utilizes the additional RSS data of the short range communications between mobile stations (MSpsilas). We use a nonlinear least square optimization approach, to estimate the location of the adjacent mobile stations. The proposed beamformer is a Generalized Sidelobe Canceller (GSC) with a single-channel noise reduction stage. The single-channel stage can be either Optimally Modified Log-Spectral Amplitude (OMLSA) estimator or Adaptive Minimum Mean-Square (AMMSE) spectral amplitude estimator. These hybrid structures, named GSC-OMLSA/ GSC-AMMSE, improve noise reduction of the GSC beamformer in highly additive noisy environments where GSC alone fails to work properly. The proposed algorithms are evaluated through both subjective and objective measures like segmental SNR and log-likelihood ratio distance. Such coherent transceivers as RAKE are too complicated for current applications. The low complexity receiver provides the first commercially feasible solution to a broad class of low-data-rate applications. One approach is time reversed UWB communication as an alternative to coherent reception. In this paper spatial and temporal focusing of time reversal based on experimental and simulation results are shown. It is seen that TR-UWB improves the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and reduces the intersymbol interference (ISI). Finally SISO & MISO TR-UWB performance for optimum receiver is analyzed and simulated. This part has been assigned as the mandatory structure for WiMax. Next, we present a bit-true model for Viterbi decoder and encoder of it with the constraint of having less than 0.5 dB degradation in the performance of the system while minimizing the hardware cost of it. Since the most sensitive modulation in the standard is 64QAM with the rate 5/6 for convolution coding, it has been used for bit-true modeling. While all of the system blocks are floating-point, we have extracted the BER of the ideal system under different channel noises with random binary input data and AWGN noise. We have validated our model by comparing its results with those of analytical formulas which are driven for AWGN channel noise. We have developed the bit-true model of the Viterbi block and have tuned the system to satisfy all of the standard requirements and the condition of less than 0.5 dB degradation in the performance at the worst case. This 0.5 dB condition is used in many papers as the implementation marginal value. Finally, the bit-true parameters of this experience can be used for different hardware realization structures (fixed-point or floating-point). Also samples of the input and output data of each block in the bit-true model can be used as a test bench for the same hardware structure. Recently, irregular cellular learning automata is proposed as a suitable modeling tool for many sensor networkspsila applications and a clustering algorithm is given for proving this suitability. Traditional transport layer protocols (such as TCP and UDP) canpsilat directly be applied to the WSNs. Generally transport layer is responsible for congestion control and reliable packet delivery. Congestion is an essential problem in WSNs. It not only wastes the scarce energy due to a large number of retransmissions and packet drops, but also hampers the event detection reliability. Thus, to meet the quality of service (QoS) requirements of network applications, a reliable and fair transport protocol is mandatory. In this paper we present a reliable transport protocol for wireless sensor networks which not only controls the congestion in the network, but also provides reliability in packet delivery. The proposed model uses a rate control mechanism to adjust the transmission rate of each sensor node based on the congestion degree in the network. We use the time to recover packet loss as a congestion indicator. To use a nodepsilas energy efficiently, we use a hop-by-hop NACK based reliability guaranty model. In addition some different kinds of features used for classification were compared that make no assumptions about the corrupting noise signal, but rather exploit spectrographic characteristics of the speech signal. The performance of the proposed method is experimentally evaluated in text independent speaker recognition task using the Gaussian mixture model (GMM) under various noise conditions. The speaker recognition results were achieved using the TFarsdat corpus. Noisy speech is simulated by adding noise sources taken from the NOISEX-92 database. In this paper, we give a brief survey on the existing algorithms for this problem, and compare their efficiency in practice by implementing all deterministic and randomized algorithms proposed thus far for this problem in the literature. We have shown that with this technique in an optimized condition into a DFB-SOA with chirped grating can improve the speed limitation in such a device, significantly. Values of the switching ON and OFF times for such an all optical flip-flop, obtain in an optimized condition are about 300 ps and 210 ps, with full width at half maximum (FWHM) of 50 ps and 100 ps and energies of the set and reset pulses, Eset=393 fJ and Ereset=25.55 pJ, respectively. This protocol is known as 3GPP-AKA. We show this protocol is vulnerable to false base station attacks, and therefore, it needs synchronization between MS (mobile station) and HN (home network) that increases the complexity of system. Then, we analyze two techniques which are called adaptive protocol for AKA and extension of AKA. Any of these techniques eliminate some of the weaknesses of 3GPP-AKA. We combine these two techniques and propose a new technique, called improved adaptive protocol for AKA (IAP-AKA).
