Some markers are mounted on the vehicle so that the Vicon system can track it. The markers arrangement is stored once in the Vicon system. In practice, after a few flights the markers' configuration may be slightly altered causing offsets in the measurement of the true attitude of the quadrotor. The Vicon system itself may also measure the vehicle's attitude with some errors in the angles due to small displacements of the cameras and a long period of use without recalibration of the whole system. Since it would be very tedious and cumbersome to recalibrate the whole vision system and making sure that the markers arrangement is still valid before every flight, a simple method has been developed to accommodate any offset in the attitude measurements. End-to-end delays of controls must be estimated using incomplete and aggregate information on the computation and communication load for ECUs and buses. We describe the use of statistical analysis to compute the probability distribution of Controller Area Network (CAN) message response times when only partial information is available about the functionality and electrical architecture of a vehicle. This paper presents a multi-layer task model based on the concept of Virtual Sensors (VS) to improve architecture modularity and design reusability. In our pilot application of gait parameter extraction, VS are abstractions of components of BSN classification systems that include sensor sampling and processing tasks and provide data upon external requests analogous to the function of physical sensors. We present a modification to this protocol in order to improve its reliability. This modification has similarities with cooperative relaying schemes, but, in our protocol, all nodes can relay a carrier wave. Resource-economic use of information is of primary concern in issues of control under communication constraints. We need to emphasize more on informational aspect which has got direct relation with uncertainties in terms of Shannon Entropy and Mutual Information(MI). Disturbances due to communication channel-induced noises and limited bandwidth are causing the information packet-loss and delays resulting in degradation of control performance. The goal is to find the best hardware/software partitioning and improve the tests coverage rate in order to increase the robustness and fault-tolerance of this class of safety devices. This approach is applied on a medium voltage protection relay called Sepam10. It is shown that the unfair allocation of communication resources is an unavoidable part of LonTalk operation in most load scenarios. Unfairness in accessing the channel results in a reduction of the bandwidth available to particular nodes. On the other hand, the channel access unfairness increases the mean channel utilization. There is a tradeoff between the access unfairness level and fairness recovery time: the possible inequality in sharing the bandwidth is greater for the light channel load but the fairness recovery time is then faster. In this paper, we present a modular trace-based simulation framework, targeting the performance analysis of stream-oriented applications on complex MPSoC architectures. Our framework can analyze systems with a large number of hardware components, while considering various aspects like resource sharing, multi-hop communication, and memory allocation. By exploring the FPGA parallel processing capabilities, two induction motor controllers, based on Field Orientation Control and Space Vector Modulation techniques, were merged in a single and compact chip. Implementation issues related with the limited number of dedicated multipliers were overcome using an efficient computational block, based on resource sharing strategy. The developed IP Cores were carefully optimized to fit in a low cost XC3S1000.
