The system uses ultrasonic waves in a water-coupled medium to scan an immersed object. Pulse-echo mode is enabled, and data are measured at different locations using an automated table (scanner). A microcontroller is used to control the movement of the scanner, whereas a MATLAB code is used to control the operation of the ultrasonic pulser receiver. MATLAB is also used to control the movement of the automated table. Reflected ultrasonic waves are recorded, and an A-scan image of the surface is generated. The experimental results of a one-pound coin show that the proposed measurement method can be used with high accuracy and can be utilized in further applications with minimal errors.","PeriodicalId":131382,"journal":{"name":"2020 7th International Conference on Electrical and Electronics Engineering (ICEEE)","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123168501","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, for large-scale antenna arrays that are anticipated in MIMO technology, the utilization of traditional fully-digital MIMO beam-forming methods is not practical, requiring one radio frequency (RF) chain per antenna element, leading to high cost and high power consumption. In order to reduce the RF chains number, hybrid analog and digital beam-forming has been studied and proposed. In this paper, a hybrid beam-forming structure is proposed in a massive MIMO communication channel with multiple users, each user having different number of data streams, with additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) interfering with the signal throughout the path. The bit error rate (BER) of each transmitter for each user will be studied and compared under different circumstances for the proposed system VS different fully digital beam-forming methods, along with the spectral efficiency of the proposed hybrid beam-forming structure for each channel compared to fully digital, or in other words optimal beam-forming. Results of these comparisons will be shown and discussed to conclude the advantages and disadvantages of the proposed scheme.","PeriodicalId":131382,"journal":{"name":"2020 7th International Conference on Electrical and Electronics Engineering (ICEEE)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125894550","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The floating and full-scale level shifter are used to convert such LV signals to HV domain without stressing the devices. In this paper we present an adaptive high voltage level shifter which improves the switching speed of circuit with increasing any static current. The proposed circuit is designed on a 28nm FDSOI (Fully Depleted Silicon on Insulators) process and supports upto 200MHz transaction speed at 100fF load. The proposed circuit exhibits less variation across process, voltage and temperature while consuming $3.6mu mathrm{W}/text{MHz}$ typical dynamic power.","PeriodicalId":131382,"journal":{"name":"2020 7th International Conference on Electrical and Electronics Engineering (ICEEE)","volume":"52 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131337319","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Circuits that consist of different electronic elements with the characteristics of the memristor are named by memristor emulator circuits. In this paper, four different memristor emulator circuits were used instead of one of the resistors that determine the frequency in the phase shifting oscillator circuit. Each memristor emulator and the same value resistance pairs are compared with each other and various results are obtained. Simulation results are quite encouraging to properly predict the appropriate configuration for power reduction.","PeriodicalId":131382,"journal":{"name":"2020 7th International Conference on Electrical and Electronics Engineering (ICEEE)","volume":"81 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114282731","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As a result, the future 6G standard is expected to proceed in more efficient utilization of these bands. One of the most critical elements in the RF link is the amplifier, especially when the attenuation of the channel is relatively high which is the case for the mm-wave bands. In this work, a reconfigurable design of a wideband amplifier is presented to operate in the band 34 GHz to 38 GHz. The line parameters are investigated to study the tune-ability of this configuration. In particular, changing the parasitic loading by varying lines width can achieve a matching level beyond 15 dB over partial band operations based on the configuration. The availability of such a reconfigurable module will pave the way for efficient 6G development.","PeriodicalId":131382,"journal":{"name":"2020 7th International Conference on Electrical and Electronics Engineering (ICEEE)","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126047921","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

When sitting or walking, poor posture may result in spinal dysfunction. Increased pressure on the spine can cause tension and spasms in the lumbar muscles and cause low back pain. Monitoring of daily activities becomes more important, especially to help sick and elderly people. Recognition of unstructured daily activities is a more difficult and important task. In this study, we use Deep Neural Networks (DNN) and Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) to study spinal movement and postural stress through two sensors connected to the pelvis and spine of a healthy subject. Body kinematics data consist of four categories: standing, sitting, walking and other activities. We compared the accuracy of DNN and CNN methods for the identification and labeling of daily activities. We observed the results of deep learning methods with different hyperparameter values and obtained the optimum values.","PeriodicalId":131382,"journal":{"name":"2020 7th International Conference on Electrical and Electronics Engineering (ICEEE)","volume":"29 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128493339","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The model of the system therefore becomes critical for the design problem especially if the dynamical system itself is hard to access for experimental studies. Since the functionality of controllers is important prior to the experimental works, relevant simulation software is used to see the response of controller. In this study, ADAMS model of a physical Two Degrees of Freedom system is formed. Then, the so-called Computed Torque Method with Proportional-Derivative Controller and Proportional-Integral-Derivative Controller are designed to control the system responses, namely angular positions of the system, by using MATLAB/SIMULINK software. Simulation scenario is considered as control of two degrees of freedom system from the zero position to desired angular positions. Simulation results are presented in order to show the effect of controllers. The study combines ADAMS model with MATLAB which enables one to see the system response on the ADAMS simulation model so that further verification could be performed prior to the experimental work.","PeriodicalId":131382,"journal":{"name":"2020 7th International Conference on Electrical and Electronics Engineering (ICEEE)","volume":"3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124330833","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
