A novel equally accurate measurement scheme utilizing standard reference clock signal and proximity switch detection is proposed. The theory derivation argues the error is reduced comparing to the traditional way, meanwhile the performance of accuracy and uncertainty of the system has been improved and the nonlinear characteristics has been decreased. Implementation method is introduced briefly. With the development of marine power system, conventional PID excitation controller can not meet the dynamic performance requirements of the running system. In order to overcome the shortcomings of the conventional PID controller, a PID controller of the marine generator excitation system based on BP neural network is proposed in this paper. Simulation results show that the marine generator excitation system of PID control based on BP neural network has excellent characteristics which are fast response, high steady-state accuracy and strong robustness. It's the fact that traditional circuit protecting devices cannot detect arc fault effectively. Therefore, there are great practical significance and prospect of application in research on arc fault detecting technology. In this paper, the identification method for arc fault based on the loose combination of wavelet transformation and neural network is proposed. In order to realize the recognition of the testing samples of diverse loads, the high-frequency energy in each layer is obtained through decomposing the acquired current waveforms by wavelet, and then these properties are inputted into back-propagation (BP) neural network to constitute a loose wavelet neural network. The adaptive learning rate and momentum term are used to improve the learning speed. Two selecting schemes of nodes in input layer are compared, and the accuracy rate of better scheme reaches 95 percent. Firstly, the model of PMSG (permanent magnet synchronous generator) with LCL filter is established in dq-frame, and then according to the analysis of the model, the equivalent circuit and admittance seen from the converter side in dq-frame is obtained. The bode figure shows that the LCL filter may resonance the harmonic current and even break the stability of whole system. One way to restrain the resonance is in parallel or in series a resistance with the capacitor in AC filters which is called passive damping. However, the physical resistance in passive damping will cause the energy loss. So an active damping strategy using a virtual resistance parallel with capacitor in LCL filter is proposed to restrain the resonance and reduce the stator current THD. Based on the active damping, the control system of PMSG is designed, in which the rotor speed is controlled and the unity power factor is realized. This report first gives an overview of the features, advantages, development obstacles and application prospects of the DSM technology and its potential use for the future “smart homes”. Then we describe the structural design of a universal and highly efficient DSM system, including communication modules for home area network and the Internet, local and remote control modules, and information collection and processing modules. This DSM system also takes advantage of the latest development in web and IT technologies including cloud computing and social networks, and will be accessible and controllable by smart phones using APPs. However, MTDC meets a bottleneck that the VSC, based on IGBT, is destructively vulnerable to the fault on DC side. Consequently How to fast detect and precisely locate them weighs much in MTDC fault clearing. A method combining wavelet analysis and travelling wave is proposed in this paper. We use wavelet packet analysis to detect the type of fault and find in which DC line the fault occurred, by building a one-to-one mapping from fault signal energy change to fault. The simulation in MATLAB/SIMULINK shows the idea is feasible. Classical HVDC has shown its advanced features in long distance bulk power delivery, submarine cable crossings, and asynchronous interconnections. Therefore, the new generation of technology, embedded HVDC, is further broadening the range of applications of HVDC transmission. The embedded HVDC is beneficial to all traditional occupations. Meanwhile, perspective novel applications, which are involved in offshore transmissions, infeed large urban areas, DC segment grid, and weak AC system connections, come into service. The low voltage ride through (LVRT) technology is a much hotter grid-connected problem of wind turbine, especially the over-speed problem of LVRT. In this paper, we focus on the method to solve the over-speed of LVRT. The over-speed fault reason of LVRT is analyzed in this paper, and through that we can find the suitable method to solve the problem.
