It can tackle uncertainties expressed as intervals, fuzzy sets as well as their combination in REPGS planning problems. Fuzzy relationships in the model can be transformed into corresponding deterministic ones without additional constraints. A hypothetical but representative REPGS is adopted to demonstrate its applicability. Reasonable energy supply, electricity generation, capacity expansion and emission mitigation plans are generated with minimized system costs.","PeriodicalId":130967,"journal":{"name":"2012 Power Engineering and Automation Conference","volume":"34 3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123465793","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The mechanism of the zero sequence circulating current is analyzed. By the analysis of the influence of the power switch tube voltage-drop, the dead time of PWM and the most common two PWM methods on the zero sequence voltage, the zero sequence voltage is a periodic signal the frequency of which is triple of the fundamental frequency. A novel zero sequence circulating current suppression method based on virtual impedance is proposed by the analysis of the zero sequence output impedance of the inverter, and the zero sequence voltage harmonic impedance is increased to improve the performance. The results of simulations and experiments show that the circulating current is suppressed effectively.","PeriodicalId":130967,"journal":{"name":"2012 Power Engineering and Automation Conference","volume":"51 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114423361","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The systematic procedure emphasizes quickly finding the decentralized subcontrollers that matching the closed-loop performance characteristics of the centralized controller, which is featured by the fact that GA is used to optimize the design of centralized H-infinity controller and decentralized engine subcontroller, and that only one interface variable needs to satisfy decentralized control requirement. The optimization design is motivated by the implementation issues where it is desirable to reduce the time in trial and error process and accurately find the best decentralized subcontrollers. The method is applied to decentralized control system design for a short take-off and landing fighter. Through comparing the simulation results of decentralized control system with those of centralized control system, the decentralized control system match the closed-loop command tracking and decoupling performance achieved by centralized control.","PeriodicalId":130967,"journal":{"name":"2012 Power Engineering and Automation Conference","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129514154","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, large-scale wind power integration exerts negative influence to power system. One of the problems is that with the current supplied by wind farm feeder, relay protection may be of incorrect trip or miss trip. To study the influence of wind power on positive sequence voltage polarized impedance relay, this paper gives a mathematical analysis of the relay's operation equation. And a simulation of the integration of wind turbine driven doubly fed induction generator is accomplished by PSCAD software to verify the mathematical analysis. The results show that with integration of wind power, the protecting range of quick-break distance protection is extended and the operating time of distance protection with time limit may be delayed. Those conclusions provide theoretical basis for selection and setting of protection.","PeriodicalId":130967,"journal":{"name":"2012 Power Engineering and Automation Conference","volume":"60 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129694642","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Meanwhile, without proper designed control the power ripples generated from wind turbines will further aggravate the power grid. Under unbalanced conditions, DFIG was modeled in dual synchronous reference frame (SRF), namely the positive one and the negative one, based on which the dual PI current controllers were designed. To implement the dual current control, the sensing variables were divided into positive and negative sequence components with the designed generalized filters, and then the corresponding control in positive and negative SRF were designed respectively. At the same time, to get the dual SRFs oriented to the positive and negative sequence voltage components, a notch filter based phase latch loop (PLL) control was designed. Experimental results on 11 kW DFIG wind turbine test bed validated the control system design.","PeriodicalId":130967,"journal":{"name":"2012 Power Engineering and Automation Conference","volume":"73 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124606330","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Then, its control scheme composed of specified harmonics detection and the neural cell generalized integrator PI control for RITHAF and fuzzy PI control for SVC is designed. The harmonic components of grid are detected by specified harmonics detection while the frequency dividing compensation for specified harmonics is implemented using neural-cell generalized integrator control. The fuzzy PI control adjusts the control parameters online in accordance with control error of power grid voltage and fuzzy rules, enhancing the response speed and control precision of reactive power control.
