Since the mandatory use of masks while traveling and the increased time spent indoors, the use of cosmetic products has shifted. The use of masks to comply with health protocols while working has led people to prefer using skincare products only, or focusing primarily on eye makeup and transfer-proof matte lip products. One of Maybelline New York's flagship products is their lip cream, Maybelline Superstay Matte Ink, which has become a favorite among many people. When deciding to purchase this matte lip product, consumers consider factors that make them want to buy it. There are several factors that influence repeat purchase decisions, such as brand awareness and consumer trust in the brand. In the cosmetics industry, there are numerous emerging brands, ranging from well-known brands to unknown ones. This is where brand awareness plays a strong role in influencing consumers' repeat purchase decisions. In this proposal, the author discusses the analysis of brand awareness and consumer trust in the purchasing decisions of Maybelline Superstay Matte Ink products among Instagram social media users, using a quantitative analysis method with statistical tests where Brand Awareness is the X1 variable, Consumer Trust is the X2 variable, and Product Purchase Decision is the Y variable. The research will be conducted among the residents of Jakarta on the Instagram social media platform.","PeriodicalId":130860,"journal":{"name":"ARRUS Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities","volume":"24 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-02-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130493529","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The determinants identified in this study were belief systems, level of education, cost of healthcare services, and Proximity. The researcher used the descriptive survey design to sample the opinion of representatives and get a detailed description of the health-seeking culture of women of childbearing age using quantitative and qualitative data. Six hundred (600) women of childbearing age were sampled from residents in the Calabar Metropolis. Both quantitative and qualitative data were retrieved using the research questionnaire and in-depth interview schedule. The retrieved quantitative data (586) were subjected to frequency and percentage counts, and simple linear regression at a significance level of 0.05. In contrast, the qualitative data were transcribed to supplement the quantitative responses. In addition, the transcribed qualitative data were analysed by the researcher into themes based on the research objectives. The findings indicate that: there is a significant relationship between belief system and health-seeking culture among women of childbearing age; there is a substantial relationship between the level of education and health-seeking culture of women of childbearing age; the cost of healthcare has a meaningful relationship with the health-seeking culture of women of childbearing age, and there is a significant relationship between Proximity to healthcare facilities and health-seeking culture of women of childbearing age. The study concludes that women's health-seeking behaviour is significantly retrained by beliefs, education levels, cost, and Proximity. Based on this finding, it is recommended that people's opinions be strongly considered and instilled in healthcare practice. Also, reproductive health awareness should be created using various social media platforms to address issues arising from self-medication","PeriodicalId":130860,"journal":{"name":"ARRUS Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities","volume":"29 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-02-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115718994","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This research aims to reveal the factors causing students’ anxiety and the strategy that EFL students apply to overcome/reducing their anxiety. The researchers conducted this research in Islamic Higher Education and this research used a qualitative method with a case study approach. The participants of this research were 7 (seven) EFL students that the data were analyzed using thematic analysis based on Braun and Clarke (2016). Then, the researchers used Wilson’s (2004) model semi-structured interview that the researchers arranged as the research instruments. The results revealed that the factors causing students’ anxiety generally: linguistic factors and non-linguistic factors (psychology factors, environment factors, and individual factors).  Furthermore, the researchers found that EFL students apply strategies to overcome anxiety in oral presentation: preparation, relaxation, positive thinking, peer seeking, self-entertaining, and praying. Therefore, the lecturers have to know their students’ anxiety in oral presentation and they have to apply the best strategy in teaching English as Foreign Language.","PeriodicalId":130860,"journal":{"name":"ARRUS Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities","volume":"71 1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-06-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128007753","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Bista","doi":"10.35877/soshum722","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.35877/soshum722","url":null,"abstract":"This paper examines households' participation in community-based disaster management in western Nepal based on the secondary and primary data sets under the framework of explorative and descriptive statistics. As a result of the study, multi-hazards occurred. Out of these multi-hazards, the catchment areas and the community were disaster-prone by flood and landslide more than other hazards: insects, drought, animals, etc. in terms of severity and frequency. Further, the community-based disaster management that was proactive and participatory to assess disasters, hazard locations, and their impacts made stakeholders to the community for their participation, ownership, and resilience.  In community-based disaster management, the household was actively participatory not only in pre-disaster, disaster, and post-disaster focusing on preparedness and planning more than rescue and reconstruction, rehabilitation, and recovery.  Its economic cost is 78 mean days per household. It is 21 percent of a year (365 days) calendar. Its mean wage income loss is 39000 Nepali Rupees (330 USD) per annum that is 30 percent of 1071 USD per capita. Thus, the rural household has a significant economic cost of CBDMG activity to be resilient from multi natural hazards.  However, it can reduce multi times the disastrous cost to them. Its outcome may not be positive to household income, welfare, and poverty reduction. Thus, the community-based disaster management approach is effective was in terms of less time, fewer resources but the quick response.","PeriodicalId":130860,"journal":{"name":"ARRUS Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities","volume":"35 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114981539","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Operators now adopt various marketing efforts to attract and retain customers. While several models have been used to examine the drivers of customer loyalty in the petroleum industry, no study is known that applies the 7Ps model. This study, attempts to close this gap. Data was generated from petroleum products customers in the Southeast region of Nigeria, and analyzed with the SPSS 23.0 multiple regression analysis. Findings reveal that all the 7Ps variables – product, price, place, promotion, people, process and physical evidence are significant drivers of customer loyalty. The study recommends appropriate blending of the mix elements for more positive outcomes.","PeriodicalId":130860,"journal":{"name":"ARRUS Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities","volume":"34 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121145202","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
