The aim is to determine how the performance of budget expenditure is viewed through variance analysis, expenditure growth analysis, expenditure compatibility analysis, and expenditure efficiency ratio analysis. This study employs a descriptive approach with quantitative data, while the data collection techniques used are observation, documentation, and interviews. The results of this study indicate that the performance of budget expenditure, as seen from the variance analysis of the expenditure during the period of 2017-2021, is considered good. The performance of budget expenditure, based on the expenditure growth analysis during the period of 2017-2021, tends to decrease, but it is not due to poor performance. Therefore, the performance of budget expenditure is still considered good. The expenditure performance, viewed from the expenditure compatibility analysis, is good for operational expenses, while capital expenditures were only carried out in 2018-2019. The performance of budget expenditure, as seen from the expenditure efficiency ratio analysis, is very good, as the budget realization does not exceed the budget, and since the result is less than 100%, the Law Division of the Mataram City Regional Secretariat has achieved budget efficiency.","PeriodicalId":130860,"journal":{"name":"ARRUS Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities","volume":"44 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139355439","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The researchers conducted this research at the English Education Faculty of Institut Parahikma Indonesia, Gowa (IPI Gowa) purposely taking 1 lecturer teaching the English course and 1 class of the fourth semester students consisting of 10 students having a classroom presentation as one of the learning activities designed. It employed a classroom observation and open interview to collect the data in which their results were classified based on Musyken’s theory (2000) and analyzed using the theory of Miles, Hubberman, and Saldana (2020) coming with three stages of the interactive model data analysis, namely data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing or verification. The result of data analysis showed that the code-mixing types utilized by the students when doing the presentation were three, that is (1) insertion (word) taking the most dominant type used with 27 extracts, (2) alternation (clause) taking more dominant type used with 15 extracts, and (3) congruent lexicalization (dialect) taking the least with 12 extracts in the classroom presentation. These findings simply means that the use of code mixing becomes the students’ communicative strategy channeling the presenters and the audiences’ ways of understanding the points of their discussion during the classroom presentation.","PeriodicalId":130860,"journal":{"name":"ARRUS Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities","volume":"42 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139358526","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The incessant bombing and vandalisation of oil installation, kidnapping, robbery, etc, has crippled socio-economic activities in the region and Nigeria at large. Although, there exists reports and studies on insecurity in the Niger Delta region, none has provided complete empirical and quantitative account on the effects of ethno-tribal alienation, proliferation of small arms, anti-bullet charms, and amnesty policy inconsistency on the re-emergence of militancy in the Niger Delta region. This knowledge gap justified the relevance of this study. Thus, this study is design to establish the connects between proliferation of small arms, anti-bullet charms, ethno-tribal alienation, amnesty policy inconsistency, insecurity of local chiefs, and the resurgence of militant groups. Findings revealed that Ethno-tribal alienation, proliferation of arms, anti-bullet charms, amnesty policy inconsistency, and insincerity of local chiefs are among the key factors responsible for re-emergence of militancy in the Niger Delta region of Nigeria. Participants noted that they are aware of the potential for repressive and harsh military action as a result of their actions, thus, the study recommended among others that authorities take a more inclusive approach in dealing with the crisis","PeriodicalId":130860,"journal":{"name":"ARRUS Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities","volume":"101 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126984517","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Data were collected for three weeks through in-depth interviews via WhatsApp platform and phone calls with the participants. Being a qualitative study, 15 participants were randomly selected from a sampling framework of 157 respondents. Ten participants were authors while five were librarians. The phenomenological approach was found apposite for this study because it involved collecting, describing, and examining participants' individual lived experiences about a particular phenomenon, in this case, the Covid-19 pandemic impact. The data were analysed thematically according to the general steps for analysing phenomenological data as presented by LoBiondo and Hubee (1988). The study shows that the impact of Covid-19 on authors and libraries is something of a double-edged sword. While on the downside, it has reduced book sales, increased the cost of publishing, and threatened job security and access to resources, on the upside it has challenged authors and libraries to think outside the box. Authors are challenged to maximise digital resources while libraries should invest in digital resources and virtual libraries. The study concludes that the Covid-19 pandemic has impacted negatively as well as positively on the book industry in Zambia.","PeriodicalId":130860,"journal":{"name":"ARRUS Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122022643","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It serves to estimate a value at a point of a region for which a variogram is known, using data in the neighborhood of the estimation location. Ordinary kriging can also be used to estimate a block value. With local second-order stationarity, ordinary kriging implicitly evaluates the mean in a moving neighborhood. To see this, first a kriging estimate of the local mean is set up, then a simple kriging estimator using this kriged mean is examined. \u0000The objective of this study was to determine the pattern of diarrheal disease spread in Bogor Regency. The method according to the purpose of this research is Ordinary Kriging. To know the distribution of diarrhea disease in Bogor Regency by looking at the result of countour plot. Based on the countour plot, the area that has the highest number of diarrhea sufferers around Barekah and Bojonggenteng villages is marked with White contour color with the range of diarrhea sufferer is 40 - 43 people. Areas with the highest number of diarrheal diseases indicate that the area has a relationship with the number of diarrheal diseases in the surrounding area. Therefore, the area needs to be prioritized in improving water sanitation, counseling to the community and improving health services.","PeriodicalId":130860,"journal":{"name":"ARRUS Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128975742","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
