A hybrid approximate model is introduced and further employed in predicting structural analyses more accurately while also requiring significantly fewer training samples. Furthermore, an adaptive sampling strategy is utilized to create a balance between its ability to locate the global optimum and computational efficiency within the optimization process. Consequently, the optimal searching efficiency of the SHAO algorithm is substantially enhanced. Efficiency and reliability of the proposed method are demonstrated through several benchmark structural design cases. Numerical results herein obtained reveal the proposed SHAO becomes more efficient when compared to conventional SAO and most existing meta-heuristic methods in terms of quality of solution, computational cost and convergence rate.","PeriodicalId":129861,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Information Systems and Computer Aided Education (ICISCAE)","volume":"2016 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127463576","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In clinical animal experiments, it was found that when the epilepsy sample attacks, irregular heart rate changes often occur. In this experiment, an improved IRC algorithm was used to analyze the correlation between EEG signals and ECG signals to study whether the correlation between epilepsy patients was different from that of normal people. Experimental results show that using the IRC algorithm based on Kendall improvement can significantly distinguish the correlation between EEG signals and ECG signals in the left forehead and left anterior temporal regions of normal and epileptic populations, and further study on the correlation between brain and heart in epileptic patients.","PeriodicalId":129861,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Information Systems and Computer Aided Education (ICISCAE)","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127812822","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Compared with traditional vibration analysis, acoustic emission (AE) has some unique advantages, such as higher sensitivity to low-speed rotating mechanical defect detection and more potential for early fault detection. However, the AE signals collected from bearing with incipient fault always include heavy noise levels, reducing the capability of early defect detection. Therefore, this paper proposes an optimized Kurtogram method for incipient defect detection of bearings, which combines autocorrelation function, Shannon entropy and Kurtogram to identify early localized defects in AE signals. The major innovations are as follows: (i) The autocorrelation function (ACF) is adopted to process the envelope of all wavelet packet node signals to highlight the periodic pattern in the AE signal, (ii) kurtosis-to-Shannon entropy ratio (KSR) is introduced to improve the capability to detect bearing fault characteristics in low signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) signals. Simulated AE signals and real bearing fault signals were used to evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed method. The results show that the proposed method can detect early defects of bearings and is superior to other Kurtogram-based approaches.","PeriodicalId":129861,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Information Systems and Computer Aided Education (ICISCAE)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130715832","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In case of durable impairment within a view, the user-end could skip its impaired frames, or compensate its frames from the other view, or degrade its image resolution to ensure playback continuity. These operations have the inevitable leverage to Frame Loss (FL), Frame Compensation (FC) and Quality Fluctuation (QF). In this work, we compare the monocular and binocular impacts of FL, FC and QF on the user QoE of 3D High Definition (HD) videos. Among them, the QF is shown to be the preferable choice for subjects. We hope our findings could benefit the improvement of 3D HD video transmission.","PeriodicalId":129861,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Information Systems and Computer Aided Education (ICISCAE)","volume":"84 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129064051","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper presents an improved nonlinear synchronization algorithm IRC (inverse rank correlation) based on Kendall rank correlation. The IRC coupling coefficient is asymmetric. The brain function network has directionality by constructing with the IRC coupling coefficient matrices, which is helpful to study the nonlinear dynamic behavior of the brain network. The IRC algorithm was used to construct the left and right brain functional networks based on multi-channel EEG data, and the average degree index of the regional brain function network was analyzed to study the similarities and differences of regional brain networks between epilepsy patients and normal people. The results show that the improved algorithm can significantly distinguish between epilepsy and normal left brain region functional networks, in which the complexity of the epilepsy and the normal left brain are different. The experimental data show that the analysis of IRC network will help the clinical diagnosis and analysis of epilepsy, further deepen the study of the neurological dynamics of the brain, and provide an effective tool for clinical diagnosis.","PeriodicalId":129861,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Information Systems and Computer Aided Education (ICISCAE)","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130028312","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
